Even after doing a request, it still seemingly hadn't been enough time for her to regain her memories. Admittedly though, she wasn't too surprised. She had heard of people taking years for them to regain their memories, but even then, some people never regained all of theirs. As far as she knew, she did not sustain a brain injury. If she did, she knew for a fact that she would be with her father until she gained her memories back. He would have been contacted, and he wouldn't let her leave the house until she gained at least a substantial portion of her memories back. She supposed that she could have snuck away, but why would she return to the very place she knew her father would check first? She knew she was smarter than that. The only other possibility she could think of was magic, but wouldn't magic eventually run out? The caster couldn't maintain the spell forever, and even if he or she could, once Kerii went out of range, the spell would be canceled, and she would have all her memories back. As crazy as that theory sounded, the more Kerii thought about it, the more she believed it likely had to do with magic. She didn't think her amnesia was due to a spell though. In all likelihood, if it wasn't from a spell, it could have been due to something someone slipped into her drink or food. The real question though, was why anyone would do such a thing. As far as she could remember, she really didn't make any enemies... but of course, her memories weren't exactly the most reliable things at the time. For all she knew, she could have gotten into trouble. Maybe she found out about something that she shouldn't have. Due to her curiosity, this wasn't out of the realm of possibility.

Walking over to the guild hall, the elf knew that it wasn't healthy to be obsessing over something she did not have substantial knowledge on. All she had to go off of were theories, but no evidence. She could, hypothetically, conduct her own mini investigation, but even if she did, she wouldn't know where to start. If someone else inflicted this amnesia on her though, Kerii was certain that whoever did it would find her before she even came close to finding them. So, the best she could do was wait -- wait for either her memories to return, or wait for someone to show her a sign.

While she waited, Kerii thought that doing a request would be a good way to pass the time. The elf strolled over to the request board and tried to pick out a request that may take some time, but hopefully not too long. She didn't particularly want to spend the rest of the day doing a request, but if she had to, she had to. Actually, doing a request all day would probably be a good distractor for Kerii's wandering mind.

When all was said and done, Kerii really could care less about how long it took to get the request done. She really wasn't in any hurry, and thought that as long as she was paid in the end and was able to help others, it would all be worth it in the end. So, the elf ended up selecting a request simply titled "Distraction." Kerii was to arrive a few hours before an event held at the castle, and find a way to prevent a deranged old man from causing a ruckus. As with many of the strange people in Orchidia, Kerii had only heard rumors. Evidently, this elderly person, Leis, caused disruptions not from anything he physically did, like Dex, but with his words and lunatic "preaching." What it was specifically about, Kerii did not know, but she could see how something like that would be less than desirable for the nobles who would be attending this upcoming event. Although Kerii was not overly fond of nobles herself, or at least the stereotypical noble, she would be more than happy to deal with such a nuisance for anyone, regardless of their social status.

The pink haired elf tore the request off the board and went over towards the castle, which, like all places in Orchidia, she still remembered the location of. As requested, she arrived with plenty of time to spare. It would be three hours before the royal event started, but there were already more guards out than usual. Kerii approached one, and he directed her to Jelies Sov, the man who put out the request. Not only did he ask for a mage's services, but he was, in fact, the head guard of the noble family. "I'm so glad you're here," he began, "Leis is... quite the character, as I'm sure you've heard. Every day, he comes and preaches about Satan, and other Satanic things in general. Now, it isn't too much of a problem, as the nobles can't really hear him in their castle, but there are so many other important people coming today. The last thing they need is to hear this lunatic spew out Satanic things. I'm sure you'll recognize him immediately. Frankly, he looks crazy, and he always rolls around in his wheelchair." The elf nodded her head as Jelies spoke. Once he was finished, she replied saying, "Understood." She walked back to where she was originally standing and waited for Leis to appear.

After a while waiting, Leis appeared. Before he could come too close to the castle gates, Kerii intercepted him. "I'm sorry, but are you Leis?" she asked. The man nodded his head and replied, "Of course, but why do you ask?" "Oh, because I've heard so much of your teachings." Teachings was a strong word for his nonsense, but if she wanted to persuade him to leave the nobles alone, at least for the day of the event, she would have to get on his good side, and the way she started off their conversation seemed to work. Leis put on a smug smile and said, "Well I'm glad someone finally noticed. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to teach the nobles about Him." "Wait!" Kerii said, holding out her hands. "Why don't you tell me about him? I want to learn more." "You'll hear all I have to say when I preach to the nobles." "But I believe I'll be able to get more in depth with it when I talk to you personally about it," she argued. "Besides, it's noisy out here, and it's only going to get louder. Why don't we go someplace quieter, like a small café?" she suggested. Leis gave it some thought, and eventually caved in. Kerii led him over to one far away from the castle, and regrettably spent a lot of time listening to Leis speak gibberish about something she didn't believe in, nor would ever believe in. Some fragments about Leis' late wife were thrown in there, which made Kerii wonder if her death somehow had to do with his craziness, but didn't delve too deep into it. Once they were done, Leis had Kerii take him home, and thanked her for her time. She then left, and headed back to get her reward from Jelies, who was relieved that he didn't have to deal with that crazy old man again.
