Still surprised by the talent that Vivianna had showed her as well as the show up from Persephone's nemisis last week, Phoebe was a bit lost. It was not directions or actually future references, but she was mostly waiting for things that might happen. As she knew Victor was here she had to keep herself on her toes to expect to bump into him again, but as he had talked in riddles and the like she was almost sure that it would all be fine and he would stay as far away from her as she was staying away from him.

There was perhaps a mistake she had made with Michelle but at this piont it didn't matter, she would get there, she only needed to figure things out with her family, if her father would accept Silver more than just the words he had given than perhaps, she could just get her father so far as to embrace him, to not be left alone in this world, if only she could find his sister Mei, it would be more perfect. But she had enough to worry about, she clenched her hands, holding a part of her jeans as she walked on, it was a bit of a grey day today. It wasn't cold, neither was it raining, it was simply a sky full of clouds but no one seemed to make it rain.

Her feet, in her dark blue wedges carried her towards the tarot stand, she had no idea if Vivianna was there or if she had stopped her business but it was the truth that at this point Vivianna knew her the best, she didn't hide Persephone really but she didn't tell if it wasn't necessary and at this point only Victor knew as well as Michelle of course and Esperia, but the first and the last both knew their take-over abilities as they had the same, that also counted for Xandra but they only exchanged names and were waiting for a better talk when the knight had time. But Vivianna, she had even spoken to Persephone as the Goddess had showed herself. Perhaps there was something that Phoebe needed.

Her hands moved gracefully, with full stops between each line as she made a decision. A sketch there, and then stop, the pencil would then gently shift its position to a different part of the small page and then begin scratching again. On her face, a smile; a gentle one, but one that also showed how focused she was. She closed her eyes tightly, as if to rest them for a few seconds and then with the pencil tucked in between her index and middle finger, grasped the edge of the bench she was sitting on and leaned on it. There was a small notebook on her other hand, her thumb tucked on the spine between the two pages to keep it open. Her head slowly fell on her shoulder of the arm she was leaning on and her eyes danced on the sketch for a few moments.

It was a sketch of a man, tall and muscular, a big smile and a flat-cap. His hands were tucked in his pockets, and he seemed to be wearing a shirt made out of a semi-thick material. On the other side were small notes written in her rather ugly handwriting. Her index moved on the text as if to feel them like braille, with her gaze still fixated on the notes.

"Who are you, I wonder."

That was the text written there, but Vivianna had also uttered the same words, softly. The small breeze caressed her chin and she leaned back, closing the notebook and placing it in her small bag. She was sitting diagonally across her old tarot stall, however that place was now empty. Its been a couple of days since she had closed it down, perhaps two, or maybe three. She smiled looking there, remembering the variety of people she got to meet. She twirled her pencil between her fingers and fell into thought as she bit the end of it.

The quiet moment was taken away when she heard some footsteps. Raising her head, she saw a familiar figure coming closer. While she was dumbfounded at first, she quickly realized who she was. A fiery ember placed itself on her heart and she raised from her seat, not knowing why. It was... them. Even in her thoughts could she say "her;" or a single name. As her first customer approached, she stools still, her hands clenched in front of her, a curious look in her eyes. It was highly probable that she was just passing by, so worst case, she could act like she was leaving already. She felt awkward, but her gut feeling told her that she was right.

In a crowd full of people, still the ones you knew stood out, no matter if they had brilliant hair colours or not, it didn't matter, as her lilac eyes swept over the empty tarot stall, she realized that it meant closed business. After perhaps an exploding cup and more energy on reading other people's energy and future, it would have been enough. Phoebe had no idea if Vivianna had meant it as business or something to do for fun. But it felt as if someone looked at her and as she stopped walking to look at the closed stand, she turned to look at the person she was still searching for; Vivianna.

Her face, which had been neutral and perhaps a sign of disappointment when she noticed the stand, gave a happier expression now. It seemed that Vivianna was just waiting for her or just leaving, how much did Tarot readers know about the future? Was it dumb to find the reader because she felt so damn lonely and caught up in this plan that Persephone called the game of life? "Hi Vivianna, I hope I don't bother you or so. I just felt the need to talk to someone." or perhaps it was Persephone that wanted more advice from the reader because of bumping into Lucifer. After all it was Vivianna who had predicted that to possible happen, not with the words Lucifer or the demon of pride but that didn't matter because it had happened as Persephone had interpreted and if they had not had a reading here from Vivianna, even if it could be difficult for a Goddess, they were prepared to bump into Lucifer.

What Phoebe wasn't prepared for was that it was Victor. Victor Garrett was the vessel for Lucifer, it did explain a few run away scenarios in her mind and she thought she had made a mistake by telling Michelle the true as she ran off after that but it was Victor.

With her being noticed, Vivianna felt her body become stone-like. However, when she saw the expression on Phoebe's face, she relaxed her posture and exhaled. Looks like she was right by standing up. A howling breeze played out as they stood there. Vivianna tried to get a reading on Phoebe's face, however couldn't do much so. She caught a glimpse of a happy expression on her face, but she couldn't be sure. Vivi felt a bit faint.

With Phoebe saying that she wanted someone to talk to, Vivianna smiled. She gently sat back down on the bench and then patted next to her as to invite her. She could tell that Phoebe could use some talking from her tone, but she wondered if it was her, or Persephone who needed to talk. Remembering their past encounter and how the whole appearance has shifted, Vivianna guessed that she was talking to someone human. Thinking about these things had made her realize how much she wanted to ask about her condition and magic. Life was different for all mages, sure; sometimes their magic reflected more than the element they control but a fundamental part of them.

In Phoebe's case, how deeper would that concept go? Vivianna tilted her head to look at her with the same smile. For some reason, she felt very cordial towards her, especially when she said that she needed someone to talk to. Could she talk to Persephone anytime she wanted? That must've been the case. Then would that mean that Phoebe sought human interaction? That made Vivianna's heartache. Human interaction. She shook her head very slightly to release any unhappy thoughts. Red or ink blood, she must do anything she could.

"We can go somewhere if you want, I just like these gray skies and would rather see them," Vivianna said. "What do you want to talk about?"

Phoebe felt a slight bit guilty for using Vivianna as her talkactive friend, after all, they barely knew Vivianna. They as in herself and Persephone, the two had a reading, telling slight bits and such about themselves. Phoebe simply wondered if she would ever know someone as a friend that wouldn't be a bad thing because at this point, there wasn't much that Phoebe considered a friend. Most betrayed her or left her alone so that was a thing, now they were playing a game where they didn't need anyone but the other but it made her feel alone, she missed human beings who would understand even the most pity situations for a human being because a Goddess was of course above that and Phoebe didn't feel the need to always ask and consult about that with Persephone as she wouldn't seem to understand.

At least it seemed that she wasn't bothering Vivianna which was also a relieve. "Well at the lake, there is a good spot to see the sky as well as have a quiet moment. If you don't mind that is, to be honest it is quite beautiful there too." She leaned a bit forward then backward on her toes as she had no idea how to give herself a stance. "But please if I bother you, tell me so, I really don't want to do that." and if Persephone had her own vessel and would stand next to Phoebe, she would now roll her eyes. How would they ever rule the Underworld with such a polite person.

She would wait for Vivianna's reply or else sit down, if they would move to her spot to the lake, she wouldn't say much yet to Vivianna but simply guide her to the spot underneath the trees, where the roots had formed quite comfortable seats and they would sit closely to the lake. "I want to thank you, from us both for the reading, last week we bumped into the guy that Persephone was afraid off." She fumbled with her hair, now they could handle Lucifer or so she thought with Persephone her thoughts, but she wasn't sure if she could handle Victor.

Vivianna Mystcreek
Vivianna was still looking at Phoebe, trying to catch every single bit of emotion from her to see what was going on. She was one of the most interesting people she'd ever met during her relatively short life. Another breeze blew past them both. Vivianna got up again hearing Phoebe's place suggestion.

"Okay, lake sounds good."

She smiled and nodded at Phoebe and started to walk towards her. When she heard of Phoebe's worries about bothering her, she didn't say anything but walk towards her. She leaned in forward with a child-like, warm smile and looked at her face directly with bright eyes. "Of course not," Vivianna said. "There wasn't anything that I was doing, besides I am quite curious about you and Persephone." Saying this, she stood straight and allowed Phoebe to lead the way.

The woman was quite silent during the walk. However, Vivianna was smiling the whole time. She didn't know what it was that got her to feel so harmonized; so peaceful; was it the fact that someone had decided to confide in her? Was it that she was looked for? Was it that her reading was enjoyed by someone? Was it that even with a goddess with her, Phoebe demonstrated traits of humanity Vivianna liked so much? Her hand itched to take out her pen and notebook to note everything about her.

However, Vivianna was capable of feeling both things at once. She, thinking, quickened her pace to walk next to Phoebe, looking at her. She then looked down and cupped her hands as if holding a small orb within it that she wanted to hide and closed her eyes very briefly. Molding her mana from solar plexus to her hands, she created a glowing butterfly out of lime-colored ink and opened her hands. The small butterfly gently fluttered and landed on Phoebe's temple, standing there like a beautiful hair accessory, gently moving its wings, ever so slowly. "You're pretty," Vivianna said with a very soft tone. She then looked directly in front of her as she continued to walk. "Don't get so down," she said. "You have a goddess with you, who feels like she might be the reason here, but even then, you have a goddess within you," she said with her hands at her back. She wanted to encourage her and hoped that she did a good job of it.

Now with the lake in their vision, she turned to Phoebe. "I will sit and go wherever you want."

Phoebe was glad that Vivianna agreed, she didn't want to drag the reader off while she was okay with being here, especially because it was Phoebe that came to her, the thing was that not everyone had to hear her. The last time she went to this spot she met Esperia and talked about the Take Over idea, as she was holding on to the Demon soul of the nature deity. She wondered if Persephone was actually honest with her but she could barely have her own thoughts for herself. As she had been dropped like a bag of unnecessary grain or whatever you wanted to call it, Phoebe was thinking she was making the wrong decisions left and right and that every time she was closer to someone, perhaps considering it a starting friendship, she was dropped again and wandering around to find the person, to not be alone but Fiore had not shown much friendliness to her, her destiny was apparently not with the people she met before.

She brought Vivianna to the point where she sat down using the roots as a seat and looked shortly at Vivianna before looking over the water, curious about her and Persephone. For a lot of people it was still Phoebe only but Persephone was infiltrating in her life, at this point she believed that five others knew about her and that she had mentioned it without much words towards Silver. Phoebe looked at her reflection to see the butterfly better than she could before, she had seen something in the corner of her eye but that was about it. She brushed her hair behind her ear and smiled at her reflection, "Looks nice enough." The Goddess muttered in the back of her mind and Phoebe liked it and didn't think she needed to say more about that. She had heard the compliment but she had not known what to say, she wanted to be more like Vivianna though that was a selfish thought as she didn't know if something might trouble the reader.

"I just think I made a mistake." not only to open up her soul and body to the Goddess but in general with talking to Michelle about it all, "Apparently it's dangerous to talk about the soul within me. Persephone cannot use the power she would have if she had her own body and now Lucifer is here, her nemesis that you mentioned. I feel like so much pressure is around me and.." She felt so damn alone. She couldn't form words without choking on her tears. She wasn't allowed to cry because she was not alone.

Vivianna Mystcreek
Vivianna silently followed her to the point she wanted to seat. When they arrived there, Vivianna gazed at the lake. It looked so pristine with the gray clouds above. She looked at the rippling water, dark green and grayish. It was no doubt a wonderful sight.

A sound took her attention. Phoebe had apparently sat down on some roots. Seeing that, she made her way next to her and sat down. When she turned to look at her, Vivianna smiled. When she turned around to face the lake, so did she. Vivianna was amused as Phoebe looked at her reflection to see the butterfly better. It was a gesture that Vivianna felt like she had to do. Hoping that she liked it, given that she didn't say anything, Vivianna sat quietly and gave Phoebe the space she needed.

Being an oracle, well, if she could be called as one, wasn't just about looking into people's futures. It was listening to their worries and problems, each divination session wasn't just a journey to the future, but to the world inside the questioner as well. Over the times of her sharing this hobby, she had grown accustomed to people telling her about many things. Perhaps her quiet nature, people had found her to be easy to vent to. She played with her fingers during the small moment of silence. There was something else and she knew that very well. Stories. It was their stories that Vivianna was so interested in. She wanted to be friendly to people, sure, however, this primal desire to learn their stories was something she could never quench.

She listened to Phoebe, looking at the lake, and sometimes her. Trying to catch every single word she could and understand them. "Lucifer," she said after Phoebe stopped. The name was familiar, but she couldn't put a name on it. She turned to Phoebe and was about to ask when she saw that she was on the verge of crying. Blood rushed to Vivianna's face. "O-oh my... Phoebe..." she mumbled. Her heart ached. She raised her hand but was unsure of if the woman would appreciate touch at that moment. Not knowing what to do and feeling a bit panicked, she placed her hand on her shoulder. Vivianna felt as if she was somber right now, it wasn't going to help Phoebe at all. She gathered her courage and patted Phoebe's shoulder as gentle as a feather touching a skin.

"I am a collector of stories," Vivianna said after staying silent for a while. "No story I hear escapes me, secrets are safe with me," she said. She wanted to make sure Phoebe knew that it was okay to talk to her. "I assume Lucifer is someone like Persephone, a deity within flesh," she said, also trying to understand the situation herself. She pulled her hand back and placed them on her lap. Her face expressed worry. Nemesis, shes thought. Her reading, the tea one... Were they talking about that? She gulped. Just how serious was this? "Phoebe," Vivianna said, her wording soft, her tone confident and her desire of hearing more strong, "Who... is Lucifer's host?"

Phoebe Rainsworth
As she sat, a lot of emotions watched over her. She didn't want to confide into Vivianna, mostly because there was no one to trust, not because of Persephone, Vivianna already knew. The reason why she would not want to talk about Vivianna was because she would leave her. Just like everyone else would, like everyone else already did. No one needed Phoebe Rainsworth for anything but their own pleasure until that moment was gone and perhaps... Perhaps Persephone was not an exception.

Did anyone really cared what Phoebe felt? She wondered herself, Persephone kept quiet, was that already a no? Phoebe bit her lip softly, she wouldn't cry, she shouldn't cry and most of all, her heart made a little jump when Vivianna said her name, it felt like someone did care but she barely knew Vivianna and vice versa and.. She took a deep breath and tried to get herself to stop wimpering, she was pathetic at this point, how would she ever get on with holding a soul like the Goddess she had to sort of raise.

She was at least glad that Vivianna told her that it was all a secret, that nothing would escape her and that Persephone's secret meant to be included to that and that she could talk but only her lips, heart and mind didn't all work the same. She nodded though, she could do that much, Lucifer was a deity. She took a gulp of air as Vivianna her next question rang into the air, Lucifer's host. "Victor." she said, her voice almost dying at only saying his name, "We met, several months ago, I believe before he got Lucifer his soul." And because of that, because of their actions, their stupidity, their what would you call it? Enjoyment? She killed a man.

Such emotions from a human being made Vivianna slightly despise herself. With a sad face, she watched Phoebe trying to grasp at air to bring out words. Her heart ached for her. It was a humbling experience to be confided in. However, there was another question about the situation, or perhaps a truth that was akin to fridge, suspended horror; one that would shake you to your core when you realized of it's existence:

Phoebe had sought Vivianna out. Vivianna, a tarot stall vendor who, while did have a moment with her, was still relatively a stranger. If Phoebe came to someone like her, someone she had just met, then it showed how alone she felt. Vivianna couldn't be hundred percent sure about this of course. It could be simply that she liked her, or that the reading had made Phoebe think Vivianna understood people better. But the more the witch looked at Phoebe, how she was barely keeping her emotions snide her, the more she felt like her assumption was correct.

Vivianna had to stay quiet for a second to digest this truth she had realized. While a part of it didn't want that to be true, her inner world had already taken it as fact. "Victor, you say," Vivianna said almost whispering. "Sounds like he is... important," she added. That didn't mean that he was a kind person or someone that Phoebe liked, but someone that had quite a bit of an effect on her story. Her story, Phoebe's story, a human's story that wouldn't be determined by someone else. Unlike Vivianna's herself. She started to play with her thumbs.

"Tell me about this Victor," she said. "Did he do something to you? Or was it Lucifer?" Vivianna had more questions, but it was probably best to give Phoebe some space and try to crack her open with some simple questions. If she felt comfortable, she would talk about these things herself. Vivianna felt a different sense of understanding for the girl, the feeling of loneliness, one that she might've been projecting. She wanted to make her happy, but she didn't know whether those were her true feelings, or if she wanted to make herself happy.

Everything felt going from bad to worse. She kept reminding herself that she didn't know Vivianna and that it could be the same as always, on one hand that made it good because she wouldn't be informed about her own breaking point or anything else but she needed someone again at some point and Vivianna had made an impression, she wanted to be her friend. She looked up at the sky and took another deep breath to get rid of the tears that were on the verge of showing but she didn't want that. There were no tears for this game, there was no space for this game to give her any more pity than she needed.

Victor's name did hurt, saying it, hearing someone else say it, to remember his acting, that he was Lucifer or Michelle. Not that she hated Michelle but it was a mistake to tell her about Lucifer and Persephone and perhaps that's why Persephone didn't talk to her, she made a mistake in this game and it might set up a wrong area or chapter and that would be the worst as she was working so hard for it. She took a second deep breath and touched her lips softly with the tips of her right hand fingers. She still didn't know if it was Persephone her childish character moment or that it was her own indulgement of fun, or simply being brave enough for a part of an adventure. She was not really good at that before and she felt that she was sinking back to the point where she wouldn't be good in it again.

"I met Victor in a bar in Hargeon." It felt so strange to talk about him while everything in herself said she didn't want to talk about him and yet, she did. "He invited me on a job and there was a whole chain of it. I don't know really what he thought or what happened, I think even one day a job was set up as a date. He brought food, we went out to play a game of pool after that. I couldn't tell him about Persephone but he seemed to know, as you noticed our eye colours change and he saw that. We.." She looked at her hands, fingers linked into each other to not get to the point of pulling or twisting something from her clothing, "We ehm, we kissed, we made fun of jobs that were probably not all ethical right, we had to trail a man.." she started to shiver, her voice no longer strong anymore, "I accidentally let the man fall down a shaft and he died." At this point, she didn't care if Vivianna let her be arrested, it was a black spot on her clean soul that she couldn't take.

Persephone however was furious with anger that Phoebe told anyone their little secret, not even Victor would be that dumb.

Silence.

That was the thing that surrounded them both. Vivianna fumbled around with her fingers. Her eyes were wide, her head was down, her hair had was flowing down her shoulders and cheeks, covering her face. She let the wind pass and heard subtle sobbing noises of the woman next to her. The subtle lump she had felt in her throat was not a full on felt like a spiked ball that had lodged itself there. "I see," she said, almost whispering. A murder. Phoebe had killed someone. Briefly, Vivianna asked herself; How could Phoebe just... say it? Wasn't she afraid of getting caught? However, this idea quickly perished as she, herself, had read a lot about this subject. She finally turned as Phoebe with wet eyes. "How much you must've suffered..." she whispered.

Confessions.

No crime would go without its punishment. Sometimes, the punishment would be the emotional prison the person would be thrown in. "When did all these happen?" she asked Phoebe. There were still a lot of things she didn't know, things that she couldn't fully understand. "How did Victor react when he... you know, heard or saw what happened to the man?"

Listening to her answer, Vivianna would look far away from the lake, the gray clouds that were picking up at the moment and think to herself that a summer rain was coming, her favorite. Maybe it would be fitting for the moment. Some rain could help them cleanse away their negative energies. She thought about Phoebe's sin and then thought about her own one: It was something they shared, however, Vivianna's situation was a bit more different, for she had killed someone who begged for it. That was a long time ago now, at least, that's how Vivianna wanted to think.

"Is it what happened to the man that is making you so sad Phoebe?" Vivianna asked with a warm  tone. Slowly, she was feeling closer to the woman. If only if she could understand the storms that were happening within her and Persephone...

But how else could she confide in someone? She couldn't. She didn't deserve that idea of a happy ending. It would come to that point. They had a lot of struggle together, at that point it had been Persephone casing the spell and Phoebe that had burried her face in Victor's chest. Her heart made a painful thump. She wondered shortly, if Victor had liked her at all. After all the two of them had known it was a game that they were playing or well he and Perse from the beginning. "He would have died anyway, he wasn't looking, nose in that stupid paper that was from his grandmother's time. Phoebe, it was a joke." But it wasn't a joke if someone died.

It was either them or the rest of the world and Persephone knew who to pick and Phoebe would get there too, the game would make sure of that. All that they needed to do again and again was to drop Silver at the doorstep of her family and leave them behind. Perhaps a punishment for Victor was a nice extra route but not their first concern or well Persephone. Phoebe her lilac eyes looked at the lake, but she didn't see anything, she held on to her own hands to stop from trembling and finally a tear drop left her right eye, silently making it's way down her cheek and dropping off her jaw. There was blood on her hands, in a matter of speeking and depending on Persephone, it might not be over yet. She looked at Vivianna as she got a different reaction than she had expected and it broke her wall, she simply cried even more, though making no sound apart from one gasp of air and multiple tears now on her cheeks.

She looked away again, trying to calm herself down to tell Vivianna more, "About half a year ago, when Persephone first showed up in my mind. We didn't get along at that time." It was still a mystery to herself how the Goddess did it, if she perhaps missed a day in her life without really knowing. She had moved a little back and forth, without really knowing, a sort of motion to calm herself down. But suddenly she did sit still and blinked a few times rapidly, her eyes searching but not finding, how had Victor reacted? She actually, couldn't really say, "I remember I cried, I remembered he tried to calm me down. Telling that it could have happened even if I didn't cast a spell. I.." She moved her head a little, tilting it in her own questions now, "I don't think he was even upset." They stole, they laughed as they taunted the knights, she had kissed him to avoid them being caught. No, not her, the Goddess.

Was it? Was it the man that made her so sad? She opened her mouth to say yes but to be fair she didn't know, "I think it's a part yes. I can't think actually about it as my doing, Persephone took my body and the Goddess, she was so full of wrath and anger and no but it is my body, I basically did it anyway." But what hurt her most of all..

"I think it is Victor."

Seeing Phoebe cry was a relief for Vivianna. Not that she wanted her to be sad, but because it felt as if she was finally letting all these emotions she bottled up inside out. She quickly reached for her small beige bag and took out a napkin, gently placing it on Phoebe's lap so she could take it whenever she wanted to.

This woman's story was slowly starting to make sense to the ink witch, her eyes looked at her, deep at her with more understanding, and a budding sense of compassion. She tried to see the goddess that was within her, to understand her role in the reason that Phoebe was crying. However, complexities of a single soul was already a much, and when there were two souls interconnected so much, it became ten thousand piece jigsaw puzzle.

And then, suddenly, a door opened and Vivianna saw what was going on. Persephone was the culprit here, but the suffering was left as a mark not on her, but Phoebe. How horrible, Vivianna thought and with a sharp moment and wide eyes turned her head in front of her, looking at the lake once again. Trying to comprehend what she just heard as she also tried to listen to Phoebe. When she was done, Vivianna let the silence stay only for two seconds. "Persephone... took control?" she asked, slowly. "She killed the man?" she continued. She had misunderstood the whole situation, and this was the much-needed clarity for Vivianna.

Victor, an interesting figure that was. Even with little information about him, Vivianna felt that he was an enigma. Not even upset at someone's death. While she wanted to think about the man, what goddess has done was clouding her mind. Vivianna shook her head and coughed. "What happened between you and Victor after this event? If he hurt you so much... and since he wasn't upset at this... incident, what causes his name to hurt you like this?" the woman asked. Tilting her head, she stood silent for a few seconds. "Phoebe," she said. "This is just an assumption from the things you told me but... Do you sometimes feel that in such a long time, maybe ever, you didn't get to make your own decisions? Its just... Sorry if this is rude, however, from what you are telling me: The goddess, Victor, Lucifer... all of these, it just makes me feel how you have been pushed into situation after situation with no room to breathe."

Phoebe Rainsworth
Phoebe looked up from her own sadness to see the napkin and she took it, giving a short grateful smile to Vivianna. She felt like she was implying on a friendship that might not even be here yet and that she could possibly ruin it already. She patted the skin underneath her eyes to avoid getting the panda look of her ruined mascara. She would fix it later when this conversation was over, she needed to apologize to Vivianna, she wanted to admit that she had no one else to go and that she was being very impolite and probably problematic towards Vivianna, "I am so sorry Vivianna, for simply implying that you would listen to me, I-I really have no one else to turn to at this point and even if I drop this bombshell on you, I hope we can become friends." She decided to say first before continuing in this conversation. She tried to stop crying and simply took gulps of air.

So Phoebe tried to explain what happened and she nodded when Vivianna asked her, "We were just together and it was a bit of a fight to see who got to control who and in the end we agreed to work together, for a whole set of other reasons but at this point she was just playing. What happened was that she covered a hole in the road with vines and grass and he fell in that and I bet he broke his neck." She did not even know his name, he was the dumb page and he was annoying and there was Victor but this was too much.

Phoebe had to think back again, something that haunted her more in her unconscious hours because she did not want to think about it. He did not cry, "He comforted me shortly that I remember." She remembered the smell of his shirt and her face pressed against his chest, "After that he told me to leave and we moved to Crocus together. Where we had a short fight because I hated how he filled in what I could and could not do, especially after another job we did together. He promised to let me do what I wanted on the next job and well we did but then when we got the reward, he was suddenly gone." She thought about it, why did he... it must be that he had obtained Lucifer, she thought about that before but as he was intrigued by the change of her eye colour, he had not known... but she had used Persephone's power together and she mentioned the spell to activate the duo's mix: anthos. Lucifer must have realized.

Yes, why did she let Victor hurt her so much? Why would she allow it, why indeed. She stared up at the lake and realized that she had no idea. Would she simply accept him to do it again and again if she would see him now and he would ask her to come along? What would Persephone do? But the Goddess seemed to be in an internal struggle with herself as she was considering the same question with Lucifer. They needed to become stronger and fast. Phoebe looked up at Vivianna as she heard her name and wondered what she would say next as Vivianna started with the word assumption. But Vivianna formed words that she had not considered, that were perhaps clouded because of Persephone pushing the game of life on her, but that sounded exactly like it; "I want to breathe."

Vivianna Mystcreek
Vivianna was holding onto the root they were sitting on with both of her hands, with her torso a bit forward than her arms, giving her a child-like posture, slimming down her figure and causing her face to be over her shoulder when turned to Phoebe, which was a pose commonly used in paintings to express the depicted person's innocent nature. However, the reason why Vivianna was  changing her stance so often was that she was tired of sitting, and the questions in her mind that she was tryin g to solve as she listened to Phoebe manifested in the real world with her constant changing sitting position. She swung her legs to stretch them a little. With Phoebe's thanks to Vivianna for lending her ears, the witch smiled. "No problem at all," she said. There was more to say on this subject, however her first goal and desire was to let Phoebe talk. Vivianna was the kind of person that would try to do what she was trusted to do, in this case listening, so listen she would. The fact that Phoebe, relatively a stranger had thought of her in this situation was something that she could be proud of. At least, that's how Vivianna thought.

Now focusing on Victor's story, Vivianna tried to connect a few dots in her mind. This deity-based power was the problem here, adding a whole different layer of complexity to the relationship between two seemingly complex people; a whole new layer of character traits, goals and motivations, how they interact with the desires of their host and what this relationship causes and manifests in their living world. Vivianna shook her shoulders. "He sounds like... kind of an ass," she blurted out. Her comment was about Victor. "Taking the money and leaving like that, not to mention how you said that he was Lucifer's host. Who knows what they were thinking," she added. While she felt bad that her comment was crude, she also hoped that entering a girl-talk mode would help Phoebe relax more. There was a certain barrier, Vivianna felt, at talking refined and elegant. While of course, she preferred it, at times it simply felt better to let go a bit, no matter how hard it was for Vivianna to do so.

"Look, Phoebe," Vivianna said scooting a tiny bit closer to her. "There is no reason to say sorry to me, after all, I am listening to you on my own accord right? Nobody forced me to to it, and I am not gaining anything out of it. I simply was someone in need, and I guess I was in the mood to be helpful. So don't feel guilty, nor be sorry. You see, I am actually new to ...the real life, she thought within herself for a split second ...new to the town myself so I don't have a lot of friends. I'd like that. The friend thing," she said and tried to break a smile. "So the first thing I'd like to say as a friend and an outsider to the whole ordeal, as in how it looks from an outside perspective... Is that Victor used you," she said and paused. Trying to put on a confident face. "Now take my words with a grain of salt for I don't, can't know the whole story like you do. I am just telling you how it feels like to someone outside of the situation," she said. "What do you think?"

Opening her palm to gather some mana at it. Vivianna had an idea. However, things still felt fresh. "Would you want to sit still? If you want, we can walk around the lake. I'm kind of tired of sitting myself. We can even get some pastries to eat while we walk."

Phoebe Rainsworth
Even if Vivianna found it no problem, it felt a bit strange still. If she had not found the fun in letting her future be read witht he cards or Persephone being interested in the reader and had her tealeaves read, what would have become of her now? She would have no one to really depend on. She needed a friend and she surely hoped she would not regret this situation in the future but that was also up to her, and what could go wrong if Persephone liked Vivianna too, true though that Perse had a difficult judgement of characters, after all she had been in love with Lucifer, it had made her the Queen of the Underworld. Phoebe was slightly worried about what she would be in the future, would there still be a Phoebe or would she be one with the Goddess? However, it did not do well to dwell on the future, she fiddled with her fingers to do something, else she would perhaps push against the butterfly and break it. She did not want to, she felt a little special that the spell was made for her.

She stopped fiddeling as Vivianna blurted out that he sounded like an ass and her lilac eyes looked at her friend, amused and she couldn't help but let out a short nervous giggle, "I know right, I should have known before though." Strange how naive she had been before and how in such a short time she had changed and yet was naive again. She wondered if he was Lucifer's host already or if people were simply made to be hosts, were they born like that? Because even if she used to be a fire mage, she was now carrying the deity of the Nature Goddess, "It would remain a mystery, Persephone did not sense Lucifer back then but being a host is something that even I don't understand." it would have been rather pleasant if she did.

She looked again from her (again) fiddling fingers to Vivianna and went to sit on her hands so she stopped fiddling, she felt her scoot closer and looked shortly at the distance between them and back up in Vivianna her eyes, she gave a weak smile but what she heard was satisfying and a bit relaxing as well. She got the real smile on her face when Vivianna said that she liked the friend thing and she felt Persephone purr in the back of her mind, it was nice for Phoebe to have a friend that sh could depend on, it did really make her feel a bit light in her head, in a good way, it had been a while that she had someone to call her a friend.

It also seemed that Vivianna tried to warn her, guard her perhaps to protect herself better, "He was playing a game." she muttered, she knew, they had called it the start of the game of life that they were playing now. But even though Persephone called it a game, it still hurt a lot and she wanted the aching to go away. "Yes let's take a walk, let me buy us some pastries, still as a thank you that you would listen to me and have a good idea of what's bothering me." It was something she would love to do for her new friend.

Vivianna's hands made a clapping sound as she tried to dust them off while listening to Phoebe with a smiling expression. "All I have done was listening, but I can't say no to that offer," she chuckled. After inspecting her friend's face once more, she turned to look at the lake one more time, then her mind drifted to the sands and rocks beneath the lake's surface. "Listening to other people," she spoke, but it felt more like she was talking to herself: "It reminds me that each life is as vivid as our own, as if we are all pebbled under the lake holding the same weight of the water." She turned to look at Phoebe with a bit of an embarrassed face. "Does that make any sense? Ha-ha..."

"Do you know where we can get them?" She asked Phoebe. "I do know a place but it's more like I just end up there rather than knowing where it is," she explained herself. After walking a bit, she mentally rotated Phoebe's situation in her mind to see it from different perspectives; but she was also cautious. What if she got past her boundaries? What if she said something she shouldn't have? It wasn't very easy for her to remember that this wasn't a character in a book, or a plot situation she was thinking about, her eyes automatically went to look at the other woman's face. She could feel her face muscled bend to form a worried expression. She quickly dispersed of it and inhaled. "A game, you say," she said without thinking. She felt herself run out of creative juice to think about this problem better.

"A person with a deity inside of her, sharing a body, their actions affecting each other, their fates intertwined, their actions have consequences that affect them both," Vivianna said looking up the sky. "Whatever the case, despite everything that had happened, I think it's still quite fascinating, you are," she said. "I... I hope that doesn't sound bad," she quickly apologized. "Saying fascinating and all, I'm scared that it sounds dehumanizing."

She tried and succeeded to occupy her mind with what kind of pastries she wanted to have. It had to be something cheap, but still palatable. Perhaps she could just get whatever Phoebe did. "After the pastries, it might be best I take my leave, Phoebe," Vivianna said. "But... let's meet again," she continued and gave Phoebe a comforting smile. "I don't want you to think you are alone; no one should think that," the with explained.

Phoebe Rainsworth
She felt that her hands got a bit clammy hands because she sat on them. So she stood up and brushed them past her jeans. She looked where she placed her feet as not to stumble and fall over the roots or worse in the water, she wouldn't be satisfied about that after all. She looked at the lake as Vivianna spoke about it, "Yet we don't notice that we are all carrying the same water." She turned to look at her friend and gave a small smile, because she wouldn't be surprised if most people if not all carried around a problem that could make lighter if only you dared to share the burden.

While they moved away from the roots where they had sat down, Vivianna asked her if she knew where she could buy the pastries and explained that she would end up there eventually and she shook her head with a giggle, "This place can be like a maze, but I have been working for my dad most days so I have an idea how the stands are placed." There was a special set up that she was used to because Phoebe came from Orchidia, getting lost was a difficult thing for her but she could imagine that strangers to the town needed a while to get used to the greenery and that everything looked the same.

She did not notice that Vivianna was looking at her as she was making her way towards the stand with the pastries, hoping she remembered correctly. She spoke when there were questions, explaining that he played a game and that's the moment she looked back at her friend as she repeated the word. She nodded, before looking away. To avoid her being more hurt, that's why Persephone must have said they were playing the game as well. The game was a part of her future, the cards had said so. She looked at Vivianna as she spoke and shook her head lightly, "It doesn't sound like that." Persephone found it all humoring and let it simply happen, "We both understand it is this way and try to make the best of it. Thank god we both agree how to work together in the best way and that makes it a lot easier than a couple of months ago."

Phoebe pointed out the stand with the pastries and looked around to which she wanted. "I want the blueberry puff pastry. How about you?" She looked at her friend and understood that Vivianna couldn't stay with her the whole day, "That's okay. I realize I am not alone, even if no one is around, they are still my friends and of course Persephone is always here." Which sounded odd to the man behind the stand as they only saw two girls. But she ignored him.

Vivianna Mystcreek
With a wide array of pastries in front of them, Vivianna briefly forgot the exhange she had with Phoebe. She gulped with aniticipation and simply nodded at the pastry Phoebe had chosen. The desire to pick something cheap had vanished into thin air when the witch made eye contact with the sweets. "A-ah.. sorry, I kinda lost myself for a second there," she said and swiftly wiped her forehead. "I will get the same as her," Vivianna explained to not lose any more time. "Let's sit somewhere to enjoy these, I think they have tables on the street,"

Leaning in from the corner to confirm her idea, she smiled and turned around to call Phoebe closer. "Want to sit here? We can go anywhere you want, of course, this should be your day."

After they placed themselves, or perhaps simply decided to walk, Vivianna took her first bite of the puff. Gods! It was a delicacy. She couldn't even make a comment as her full attention was given to savoring the blueberries. She felt embarrassed when she saw Phoebe's face. This could be very rude, she was opening up her heart. "Ahem," she fakely coughed but had actually managed to compose herself. "It is good that you both can handle things, I guess you mean that you two can compromise, right?" Vivianna asked. She quickly followed it up: "In every relationship, there will be compromises, perhaps just because one individual is a deity doesn't change that fact," she commented.

She briefly thought of how she would handle the situation. It wasn't something easy to imagine. Someone else inside you: It really did feel like a hindrance. She shook her head. "I hope she doesn't get overwhelming," Vivianna said to Phoebe, indicating her impressions of the deity inside.

"A power inside you... strong but relatively dangerous... ah!" Vivianna expressed a bit loudly. "Sorry, wait," she said and quickly stuffed the rest of the puff to her mouth as her hands went in her bag to take something out. Just like with Kurdran, this was also perfect. It was a nice gesture, and if the tarot cards had any powers with them, then maybe it could help Phoebe out. "Some time ago, I met with this man who also opened up to me," Vivianna explained as she dug through her bag to take out her tarot box. "Since his situation was so perfect, I decided to give him a card for inspiration and as a token, for the time we spent together..." she said and opened the box. Inside were two decks. She took the extra one that she was planning on changing.

"Give me a second..." she muttered as she went through the deck and smiled wide when she saw the card she was looking for.

Eyes that See [Social: Vivianna & Phoebe] B2b52b08dbd7009ab4ac5820cb40d713--tarot-strength

"The strength is the card that is not about physical strength but inner one. I thought that it fit your situation," Vivianna began to explain. She glanced at the card and then held it towards Phoebe for her to pick it up. "It shows someone who, with mastery, can even tame the wildest of lions with their inner strength and kindness, and then learn to use that power for themselves. Whether it is agreeing with the goddess or accepting her, without losing too much of yourself, it can be a great help to you." Vivianna explained. She slowly placed the box back in her bag before wiping her hands with a napkin. She held the napkin within her clenched hand so she could throw it away as she walked back to her staying place. It surely has been a very long day.

"Now if you excuse me, I will take my leave, Phoebe. Good luck, and let's meet again for sure." Viviana slightly and slowly bowed towards her. Had she made a new friend? Was this start of something good? These were the ideas she had in her mind as she twirled her way back to her room. She felt a sensation that was rather unfamilliar, but perhaps that's the story for some time else.
