Kishin had heard of Barras, the weaponsmith, before. He was known for his skilled craftsmanship and ability to supply equipment for the guards and knights of Magnolia. Kishin couldn't deny that Barras was a reputable figure in the community. However, he had never gotten close to the man. For now, there hasn't been anything Kishin's had time to buy.

As Kishin walked through the streets of Magnolia, he took notice of the many signs advertising Barras' wares. Everywhere he looked, there were swords and shields bearing the smith's mark. Kishin felt a sense of envy towards the man's success. He had always been fascinated with weapons and armors and had even attempted to learn the craft himself, but his creations never seemed to match the level of quality that Barras produced.

As he passed by the smithy, Kishin couldn't help but take a peek inside. The sound of hammering and the sight of sparks flying caught his attention. He watched as the smiths worked diligently, each strike of the hammer precise and intentional. The heat of the forge and the scent of hot metal filled the air. Kishin felt a twinge of longing as he watched the craftsmen at work, knowing that he could never create something of such beauty and skill.

Despite his lack of success in the field, Kishin couldn't bring himself to dislike Barras. He could see the passion and dedication that went into each piece, and he couldn't help but respect the man's work. He realized that becoming a master of a craft takes years of hard work and dedication and that not everyone can achieve it.

As he continued on his way, Kishin couldn't help but feel a sense of melancholy. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was missing out on something important. Despite his maturity and practical nature, Kishin couldn't help but feel a sense of longing for something more. The sight of Barras' smithy and the skilled craftsmen at work had stirred something within him, a longing for something he could never have. He knew that his path in life lay elsewhere, but the thought of what could have been lingered in his mind, casting a gloomy shadow over his thoughts.

When Barras approached Kishin with the job offer to collect the goods from a new supplier, Kishin felt a mix of emotions. On one hand, the idea of a high-quality merchandise at a low price made him suspicious. He knew that in business, if something seems too good to be true, it usually is. He had learned that lesson the hard way in the past, and he didn't want to fall for it again.

On the other hand, Kishin had a great deal of respect for Barras as a businessman. He knew that Barras had a good reputation and he was known to be a trustworthy and reliable person. He thought that if Barras was willing to take a risk on this supplier, there must be something to it.

Kishin's practical and cautious nature made him want to decline the job offer and not get involved in potentially risky business. But his curiosity and desire to gain more knowledge and experience in the field made him consider taking the job. He thought that this would be a good opportunity to test his own abilities and see how he handles this kind of situation.

He thought about the potential risks and benefits, and weighed them carefully. He knew that he had to be vigilant and keep his eyes open for any signs of trouble. He had to be ready to adapt to any situation that may arise. He also believed that this job would be a good opportunity to gain more knowledge about the business and make some connections.

In the end, Kishin made a decision to take the job. He knew that this could be a great opportunity to learn and grow, and he didn't want to miss out on it. He understood that this might be a risky situation, but he felt confident in his ability to handle it, and he was excited to see what the future holds.

As Kishin approached the caravan later, he felt a sense of unease. The alley was dimly lit and the merchants seemed shady, their demeanor giving off an air of deceit. Kishin knew that he had to be careful, and he kept his hand close to himself just in case. He studied the merchants, trying to understand their intentions, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what was off about them.

As he paid the agreed price for the supplies, Kishin noticed the merchant and his aide becoming increasingly agitated. They seemed to be growing more and more desperate, their eyes darting around nervously. Kishin knew that something was off, and he prepared himself for the worst. He kept his guard up, ready to react to any sudden movements.

Just as he was about to make a move, the merchant and his aide revealed their true intentions. They lunged at Kishin, attempting to mug him for the payment he had just made. Kishin knew that he had to act fast, and he quickly assessed the situation. He could see that the merchants were more dangerous than him, but he also knew that he had the advantage of surprise and quick thinking.

Instead of fighting, Kishin chose to outsmart the merchants. He quickly grabbed the ore and made a run for it, leaving the merchants behind, confused and empty-handed. He knew that he had to act fast and take advantage of their confusion. He didn't want to hurt them, but he couldn't let them mug him. In the end, Kishin doesn't know how strong anyone might be.

As Kishin returned to the forge, he reported to Barras what had happened. Barras thanked Kishin for his quick thinking and informed him that the ore was stolen and could not be used. He then gave Kishin some jewels as a reward for his hard work and quick thinking.

Kishin was glad that he could help Barras and ensure that no stolen goods would be used. He knew that he had made the right decision by not engaging in a fight and choosing to outsmart the merchants instead. He realized that sometimes the best way to handle a difficult situation is to think on your feet and come up with a plan that doesn't involve violence. He was satisfied with the outcome and knew that he had done the right thing.
