Kishin observed Dex Miller as he walked through the city, striking poses as if he was a detective in a noir film. Kishin couldn't help but be intrigued by Dex's antics, as he had never seen someone so fully immersed in a fictional persona before. He watched from a distance as Dex frequented bars late at night, drinking whiskey and complaining about cases that were not real. Imaging oneself in a different reality, weird right?

Kishin wondered if he should intervene, but he was hesitant. He knew that confronting Dex about his delusions would only worsen the condition. Instead, he decided to continue observing from afar, trying to make sense of the situation.

Despite being unmagical, Kishin couldn't help but feel a sense of melancholy as he watched Dex. He couldn't help but reflect on how sad it was that someone could be so consumed by a false reality. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was deeply wrong, and he felt an urge to help, even if he wasn't sure how.

As he walked through the city, Kishin couldn't help but feel similar. He was far from proud, and he didn't feel satisfied or dissatisfied with his current situation. He simply existed, going about his day as he normally would, but with a newfound awareness of the sadness that existed around him.

Kishin didn't know what the future held, and he didn't reflect on it with any sense of happiness. He was simply living in the present, speculating on whether he should help Dex, and if so, how he could best do so.

Orchidia's forestry appeared shady and ominous, with tall trees that blocked out most of the sunlight. The underbrush was thick and tangled, making it difficult to navigate, and the air was thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves. The silence was only broken by the occasional rustling of leaves or snapping of twigs underfoot, adding to the sense of unease.

As Kishin ventured deeper into the forest, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. The shadows seemed to shift and move, and he heard strange whispers on the wind. Despite the danger, Kishin pressed on, driven by a need to uncover the secrets that lay hidden within the shadows.

As he walked, he noticed that many of the trees had strange symbols carved into their trunks, and he couldn't help but feel that these markings were meant as warnings to keep intruders out. But Kishin was determined, and he pressed on, ever watchful for any signs of danger.

As Kishin approached the designated meeting place, he was handed a letter from Dex Miller. Curiosity piqued, they quickly tore it open to read its contents. It was an invitation to meet with Dex and discuss a proposal that he believed would change the course of his life. Kishin was intrigued and made their way to the meeting spot, a dingy alleyway in the heart of Orchidia.

Upon arrival, Kishin was greeted by the quirky and eccentric Dex Miller. He was pacing back and forth, his movements full of energy and his voice bouncing off the alley walls as he spoke. He explained to Kishin that he was a detective and had been working hard to build up his reputation. But despite his best efforts, no one seemed to take him seriously. That was where Kishin came in.

Dex had come up with a plan to sell himself as a capable detective by staging a fake crime scene. He needed Kishin's help in acquiring the necessary items to pull off the stunt. The first item on the list was a large bag of animal blood that could be found at the local butcher. Kishin was tasked with retrieving it, making sure to keep it intact and not spill a single drop that might point back to them.

Next on the list was several weapons that needed to be stolen from a nearby forge. The more wear and tear the weapons had, the better, as it would add to the authenticity of the crime scene. Kishin made their way to the forge and, using their cunning and guile, managed to obtain the weapons without being caught.

With the blood and weapons in hand, Kishin made their way back to the designated meeting spot in the alleyway. But before they could reach their destination, he was stopped by a Rune Knight who had noticed them trying to sneak through the back alleys with the weapons in their possession. The Rune Knight demanded an explanation, and Kishin was forced to admit their involvement in Dex's plan.

The Rune Knight listened intently as Kishin explained the situation, and after a moment of contemplation, he agreed to alter the plan slightly for the greater good. Despite Kishin's reservations, he reluctantly agreed to the changes and continued on with the plan.

As Kishin carried out their part of the plan, they couldn't help but feel a sense of gloom and unease. He was not a magical being, and the fact that they were forced to resort to such devious means to achieve their goals was not something he was proud of. The knight and he were mature and had a strong sense of responsibility, but the events of the day weighed heavily on their mind.

As Kishin and the Rune Knight arrived at the alleyway, they quickly got to work setting up the scene as directed by Dex Miller. Kishin was familiar with the process, having done similar things in the past. He carefully placed the weapons in strategic positions and poured the bag of animal blood over them. The Rune Knight watched, his expression unreadable, as Kishin prayed loudly as if he was at the Orchidia church, to create a commotion and draw attention to the alleyway.

Kishin made sure to keep the chanting harmless, not causing any damage or harm to anyone's psyche like his client. In no time, the alleyway was filled with curious onlookers and panicked people trying to figure out what was happening. In the chaos, Kishin and the Rune Knight were able to slip away unnoticed, making their way towards where they had left Dex Miller.

As they reached the location, they saw the man watching with excitement as the events unfolded. He was ecstatic with the success of his plan and eagerly paid Kishin before trying to make his way through the crowds to take credit for the fake crime scene.

Kishin watched as Dex disappeared from sight, feeling a sense of emptiness. The excitement and thrill of the job was always fleeting, and as he made his way back home, Kishin couldn't help but feel a sense of gloominess. He was not magical like many of the other people in his line of work, and his maturity often set him apart from the rest. He was used to this life, but it didn't bring him any satisfaction. He just went about his day, thinking about his next job and how to make ends meet.
