Description: Veritas and Aequitas are a pair guns. Both designed to provide the inherently unique capability of functioning not only as a capable ranged-weapon, but also have the attributes of a lethal melee weapon. One is adorned in a red, almost blood-like finish towards not only its metal, but also its melee appendage, while the other adorns sleek white steel that otherwise contrasts against the rustic black metal that both weapons possess. Aesthetic differences aside, both possess long blades that extend from and beyond the full duration of the pistols’ barrels, though this pair of weapons at first glance may strike onlookers with the idea of forcing a gimmick that otherwise does not translate, a closer look reveals the duality of both weapons was deliberately intended. With protections like a finger guard than enwraps around the trigger and grip, as well as a small piece of material strategically placed to alleviate any reverberating shock that may come using the weapons in their melee capacity, these two weapons were deliberately conceived of, developed to, and tested to give whomever wields them absolute flexibility towards their approach, limited only by their natural skill and combat prowess.

Lore: Veritas and Aequitas belonged to two brothers from Caelum who lost their mother at the hands of violent crime. Since the criminal had the town and its local militia in his pockets, the two young brothers could not be helped by the corrupt authorities. They tried to draw attention to what had happened, but the criminal would not have it and placed a bounty on their head. Forced to flee, the young brothers sought refuge in a small Illuminian church in the middle of nowhere. It was there that they met the preacher that would change their lives forever. The old preacher used to be a gunslinger, a very renowned gunslinger, who had changed his ways to seek redemption. The story of the boys, however, angered him so much that he decided to teach them how to stand up for themselves. Fifteen years later after the preacher passed away, the boys, now mature, left the church and returned to their hometown. That night, everyone involved with the criminals responsible for the death of their mother was executed. The criminal, kept for last, was executed in the same manner as the others. The brothers recited the preacher's prayer and killed him with two gunshots to the back of the head — the bullets going straight through his eyes. They then placed coins on the eyes of the criminal, as if to pay the toll to cross the river Styx and unburden themselves of the murder that they committed.

Measurements: Veritas and Aequitas may be used as daggers while still wielding them as guns. The blades underneath the barrel are 20 centimeters long. However, only 10 centimeters out of the 20 centimeters extend beneath the barrel for stabbing purposes. The full length of the blades can be used when slashing with them.

Requirements:

The user must be capable of wielding guns or daggers in their off hand.
Veritas always goes in the left hand and Aequitas always goes in the right hand.

Weapon Mastery: Veritas and Aequitas can be used to train both Gun and Dagger mastery at the same time. In such cases, the user must have used Veritas and Aequitas in both styles during the topic. This splits the number of words of the training between Gun and Dagger instead of fully assigning it to either Gun or Dagger.

So we shall flow a river forth to Thee. And Teeming with souls shall it ever be." As the user says the last word, they pull the trigger on both Veritas and Aequitas while aiming them at a target. This releases a thin yet powerful beam from both guns. A white beam from Veritas and a black beam from Aequitas. Both beams have a diameter of 5 centimeters and each beam deals 1x S-rank damage individually. The beams split the damage between the equipment of the target and the body of the target.
