A delivery job eh? Mia could get on board with that. Paid for an excuse to take a trek in the forest? She supposed she had been skipping leg day a fair bit lately! Eheheh!~ Ah whatever. So long as she had the money to keep herself going for the next ay, and the next, and son on, that was all that mattered. Taking the job off the board she went home to get changed and make sure she was dressed for the trip. There was word of some beasties and the like out in the forest, but if some magicless hermit could get themselves a little bit of a thing going on out there, she didn’t imagine she’d be heading anywhere too dangerous.

Heading out to the fores in one of her shorter jackets, not wanting the tail coat effect of her usual attire to get snagged on anything, she kept her shades down over her eyes while the path was broad and easy going, but as tree roots and twigs littered the path, it was best to clear her vision it seemed just to save herself a nasty trip. Balancing them on her forehead as she kept her own package tucked securely under her arm.

“Riiiight… supposed to be here…” She hummed to herself, moving towards the circular door that seemed to be embedded in a tree itself, only for the trickling sound of water to catch her attention. She didn’t see a river nearby or nuttin’… Avoiding the knock, she rounded the tree for a moment, before immediately recoiling and regretting her decision.

“AH FUCK COME ON MAN!”

“Ahhh! Sorry sorry-!” The hermit called back, his outdoor shower set up quickly turned off and a fluffy towel dragged around his waist, Mia still averting her head away but no longer holding an arm over her now burning eyes. “Forgot it was delivery day, ohohoho~”

With the desire to burn that image from her brain Mia handed off the package and waited for the Hermit to go grab his end of the deal, more than happy to let him take his time and get himself dressed while she waited, letting out a light sigh as she fell back onto a rather sizeable tree root that seemed to curl upwards out of the dirt and soil. The image fading with the seconds. Eventually, he came back out, offering her the package she was to make the return trip with, and a… root… huh. Well. She supposed she could do with a nibble on something she guessed, sticking it between her lips, forward teeth nibbling at the edge as she waved him goodbye.

Heading back towards down, the sensation of her mana increasing certainly hit, but slowly, like a rumble. She wouldn’t quite have a strong sense as to what exactly had changed, but the idea that chewing a fucking root of all things was what caused that odd sensation she felt would be far from the first thing on her mind, keeping her eyes forward, eager to hit up a bar or something to replace one ‘naked’ image with another, far more pleasant one tonight once she got paid.~
