It had been some days since Z'Aleel had fully transformed and received an upgraded body. The soul of the Light mage inside of him was strong and the transformation caused him to grow and develop over a small amount of time. It was unusual, but in a world of magic where demons and devils had mysterious powers, it wasn't impossible. Nothing was impossible in this world. After fighting fake pirates with Yuurei he assumed that he was finally getting better. Things seemed to be easier to manage around the Nephilim, his powers had been working and his body, in those moments, operated well enough for him to participate. As Cliche as it sounded, the power of friendship, albeit confusing, was more powerful than he anticipated. It could have just been Yuurei's grace acting as some sort of remedy for the pain he had been dealing with everyday. It was hard to tell.

That quest was one of the last times he had been on Lulu island. Now, the Archfiend was back in Dahlia city, the most boring place of all to settle whatever other business he had here. The goal was to start establishing some sort of business so that he could make passive income. Probably a harem, maybe a drug operation. Although selling slaves was illegal in Fiore, they were still in high demand in other countries. That could also be a great place to start. People would probably pay a pretty coin for Fiorian slaves too. There was no other desired destination after Dahlia city. His mind had been set on in this godforsaken place given what the society was like here. The Knights hadn't touched this part of the country in a very long time and honestly they probably would never step foot here. It wouldn't be the worse decision the government has made after all. Alas, only time could tell what happens next.

The Nimulli sat on the bridge in the dead of night, alone, rocking back and forth as he clenched the side of his head, pulling his hair out of extreme levels of stress. The ritual he had done weeks before had been taking its toll on him all around. The devil had told him everything he had already known, but didn't tell him that this procedure would be this damn hard to deal with. If he had known, he probably could have prepared himself but of course, it was too late to ponder on such things now. His body was aching, his head was aching, and everything else hurt. The smallest amount of light bothered his eyes. Za wasn't through with the transformation entirely. The Devil could feel the souls swarming inside of him, not fully digested and still trying to claw their way out. They wanted to be free from this body. Who wouldn't though?

Aleel was expected to live a long time and that meant each of these souls would be imprisoned inside of him until they decided to accept their fates and cease from existing by merging with his own soul. Of course the Nimulli was stronger than the ones fighting back, so he wouldn't allow them to leave his body. The mission he had been perfectly crafted for depended on this sort of trial. If he failed, then everything hell had put together would crumble before things could even begin. That type of responsibility wasn't easy to swallow, but it made him strong. That, and he feared his father whoever he was. All he had known was that the entity that had created him had been pulling the strings. This whole plot was for him. As much as it hurt, Aleel would have to manage. There really was no other option for the one who was supposed to plunge the world into never ending chaos.

The amount of pain he had been growing through was excruciating. Memories that didn't belong to him flooded his brain. Pounding...and pounding... all at once. To think that the strongest demons had developed their powers from absorbing souls and the strongest devils had ingested the most souls was absolutely unbelievable. These maleficent beings had devoured thousands of souls, yet the Daemon had consumed five and could hardly manage himself. Perhaps that was why the strongest of demons were also batshit crazy. Perhaps the souls had driven them mad and destruction was the only thing they were able to comprehend at that point. Whatever the case may have been, it was obvious that the Nimulli was barely surviving. Normally the spirits would be around, roaming freely and unseen to the naked eye. However, the spirit couldn't even use him as a gateway. The spirit conjurer was weak. Alone in the park, he rocked back and forth, moaning in what felt like agony.

Suddenly, the small crossroads demon known as Luci appeared in front of the Archfiend. For a moment he just stood, watching the man he was supposed to look out for suffer in silence. There wasn't much he could do really but that didn't mean that he wasn't Sympathetic to the young Nimulli. With a sigh Luci stepped forward and for the first time ever, he actually touched Zael. He placed a hand on the summoner and spoke gently. "It's going to be alright." He said. Z'Aleel was too focused on not completely losing his mind though. His rocking slowed down a bit but he still clenched the sides of his head, breathing heavily as his widened eyes stared blankly at the ground. Luci understood how much weight being the Anti-Illumin was, he also understood that the transformation process was taking longer than usual. Why though? That much he hadn't known.

Luci's theory was simple. He believed that Aleel had been fighting the transformation to a certain extent so that he could keep his connection with his summons, but the summoner probably didn't realize that something like that could kill him. The Demon sat down in front of the muscular red haired mage and lit a cigarette with his finger. It was going to be a long night. There was something he could do to help Za though, but it was only temporarily. If Luci wanted to he could bring Z'Aleel into his domain would would separate him from his physical body, leaving all the pain he had felt for a while. However, it wasn't an easy thing to do. Some demons had domains but to get to them costed them years on their lifespan. It was like a disease, or aging really. Luci had only done it if he was making a deal because the energy from the soul would rejuvenate him.

Seeing Aleel this way wasn't easy for the cat-like shadow demon. Sure he wasn't the best at portraying how much he cared, but he really did care. He just wasn't programmed to be able to convey those types of emotions. After smoking the cigarette for a little while longer, he threw it to the side on the grass. The park was empty, it had been too late for people to be outside and so if any time was the best time to do it it would be now. Luci stood up once more before looking around to be completely sure. Their bodies would be limp and so if anyone was after them they would be completely vulnerable. The Nimulli most likely had enemies in the shadows too, so they had to play it safe. At the moment there were none of note, but one could never be too sure. Their enemies wouldn't make themselves known until the time was right.

Luci extended his arm towards the Nimulli and closed his eyes, focusing the energy harbored inside of his body before once again tapping his shoulder. Suddenly the entire world went black. Zael was no longer in his own head, or felt the pain of his body. The Daemon slowly dropped his arms before looking around in sudden confusion. Then he turned towards Luci the demon. They two seemed to have been transported into a realm of nothing but darkness. Even with his night vision the summoner could not see anything but the demon still sitting in front of him. Luci smiled and then stood up. "Seems like it worked. How do you feel?" The feline-like creature asked. One minute Zael felt trapped, the next minute he felt nothing. No aches, no shivers, he was no longer stuck. Little did he know that this was just a temporary fix. Luci, however, had something in mind.

"I feel fine now. What happened? Where are we?" Za asked as he looked around. Luci helped the Nimulli get to his feet before explaining everything to him. "You were stuck, under intense stress so I brought you to a place a little calmer. It looked like you were in pain." The Demon said. "Yeah, I was. My body, my mind, my soul, down to my emotions were all not cooperating. It happened so randomly too. One minute I was watching the sunset and the next I was here." Luci cocked his head to the side. "The Sunset? That was about six hours ago..." He thought to himself. "I see. Well then, your condition is worse than I thought. That's no bueno." The demon said. He placed his hand under his chin and his other on his hip as he pondered further on what to do next. "If You keep fighting the transformation at this rate, you'll break your mind and at that point they'd deem you obsolete. It's only a matter of time before they come for you after that."
