Vaxias Begins to make his way out of the city gates. He was positively buzzing with excitement from the implications of omission that he had just received. Now Vaxias was on the best term with the Rune Knights but we weren't above working "with" them if it meant there was Knowledge to be had and discoveries to be made and this particular mission was far to intriguing to pass up. Vaxias would Glance down at the report and the only thing that Stood out to him was the word "Zombies". Bringing back the dead was something that Vaxias had a mild interest in not because he cared about making an army or anything that small-minded of course, but because the implications were far more intriguing to him. Would it be possible to reanimate individual body parts or even have a discussion with someone long dead? The possibility of learning the secrets behind this made Vaxias giddy to know end even working with the Pompous arrogant and their flawed ideology was more than worth it.


After what seemed to be hours the enthusiasm slowly began to drain from Vaxias's body, and doubts began to creep into his head that maybe the Rune Knight's Information was false. With every second passing realization that he wasted his time and effort started To dawn on him Just as he was about to give up, he heard rhythmic chanting coming from a few hundred yards away. He figured he might as well check and see what it is it's not like wasting less of his time doing this would recoup any of the things that he lost chasing the stupid stories of the Rune Knights. After coming to a clearing Vasias peered from behind To see a huge pagan statue surrounded by A few dozen cultists all chanting the same rhythmic chant. At the same time, countless corpses seem to be reanimating. A huge sinister smile crawled across Vaxias's face it seems that he owed the Rune Knight's an apology There info indeed was true.It was far too many cultists/undead for Vaxias to want to venture closer risk of being discovered he did however wish that he had brought a book of reference with him he couldn't quite place the particular statue that the cultist seemed to be surrounding enchanting in front of he frantically poured out his notebook and started to sketch the statue best she could he was no artist but he had enough artistic ability to make a rough draft that gave the idea of what he was trying to draw After his drawing was complete. He began to try and decipher the weird chant the cultists were using he couldn't place the exact language or origin but it was distinct enough that he was sure that someone somewhere had to know where it was from. After he was satisfied with his drawing and description of the chanting. He moved to try pick out any other details about the cultists that would make them stand out but other than where generic brown robes there seem to be nothing particularly interesting about what they were wearing the robes covered their faces so a physical description of the cultists would be near useless. After deciding that he's gotten all the information they could possibly learn from this incident he decided to head back to the Lieutenant. Under normal circumstances he would even bother to return to the Lieutenant but there were quite a number of things they didn't understand any felt maybe the Lieutenant More information that he initially let on.


Upon making it back to the Lieutenants office. He regaled the office with everything that he had seen even going so far as to share his notes Which is something that he would not have done under normal circumstances LieutenantLieut. actually set patiently listen to Vaxias's story somewhat attentively but only after showing the Lieutenant Picture that he had drawn did the Lieutenant's demeanor change A slightly worried look came over his face. He quickly wrote something down on a piece of paper and handed it to one of the nearby soldiers and told him to take this to Central command. He would turn back to Vaxias and pull out a portfolio and a small sack of money he would handle both to Vaxias and ask the maids to come back in a few days after he's heard from central command he fears that what Vaxias found is much more graven than he had originally thought. Vaxias was found with this it would give  him ample time to Report over his reference books to try and translate the chanting.
