Beating the morning sun as the one to rise, Ianthe stood near the window of some dingy hotel room for what was the first night in Magnolia. Of course, this place wasn't her first choice but then again she didn't really have too many choices. Having joined the guild named Fairy Tail she did have one other choice of shelter besides this low-cost shit hotel, but she would rather take dog shit in her hands and clap over her head before being surrounded by people she didn't know, probably wouldn't like, and most definitely did not trust. With her limited funds this was all she could afford but that also gave her the freedom to do what she wanted without being under a microscope of her peers. Checking the time as she slipped into the shower, she knew she was going to have a day.

Being poor was never a vibe. Her love of Jewels had her depressed because at the moment she lacked them. The crime for being poor was having to live in shithole hotels where the rats own the building and they give you shit for staying too long in their presence. Once she was done her shower she got dressed and headed out. In order to fill her pockets, she had to work, and even though that wasn't the worst thing it certainly was the first thing she wanted to do so early in the day. By the time she stepped out of the doors of the hotel, the sun was finally peeking over the horizon, slowly filling the world with its light. Checking the time by glancing at a clock she passed on her way to find some work, it didn't take long for her wish to come true.

The guards around Magnolia were busy with a lot of different tasks. In fact, some of the work they did was usually taken on by the Fairy Tail guild, which most people didn't mind as the work got done and people got paid for that work. Today was no different and would be no different as Ianthe found herself walking towards one guard, and flashing the underside of her wrist to show that she was in fact a part of the Fairy Tail guild, and she was here to help with any tasks this guard may have on his plate. Little did she know until the man spoke that this guard was no foot soldier, but instead the captain of the guards in magnolia. This man was top of the food chain around here so she was almost sure he had some sort of work that he could give.

Ah a member of the Fairy Tail guild. It's nice to see you lot so eager to help, well then I got something for ya but it's nothing concrete and I don't have resources to waste checking into it, but maybe you can find something. Now apparently there is a rumor going around about some cult. Now it could be nothing but put my mind at ease and check it out. Of course, I'll pay. That's all she needed to hear to get her going. Nodding her head and thanking the Captain she set off into the streets, looking around to see if anyone seems like they'd heard of something. Of course, you can't really pinpoint someone with knowledge of a cult so she just started asking random people. The first three didn't just straight up denied knowing about a cult but the fourth one.

Upon asking the fourth person they gave a response that was more interesting than the last three. Instead of denying or dismissing they actually asked if she herself was interested in cults and her overall interests in them. Ianthe knew she caught a fish with all that bait she was throwing out but now she had to reel it in. Having run into cults before in her lifetime she answered each question given as if she had knowledge of it and she sounded pretty convincing or at least convincing enough to get the person's attention. The person in question was a man much shorter than she was who was balding and had beady rat-man eyes. He gave her the absolute creeps but her chatting him up the way she did was all worth it. After a bit, the rat-man gave her a time, a place, and a password.

Buttering up a bald rat-man was the easy part. The information flowed out of him like water but this wasn't the big fish so once she got what she needed she let him back out into the world. 'Illucifan Nagar The password that would get her into the little cult club rang in her mind like an echo so she wouldn't forget. The day was still young and the timing for her to show up at the cult club wasn't until the dead of the night. Sighing she strolled around the town, window shopping for things that would buy when she got enough jewels to do so, daydreaming about finding Constatine, planning her next steps in life, and going over to the Fairy Tail guild to look it over. It was a good way to waste time as night began to fall.

Once night fell she was able to complete the rest of the job she was given. All that extra time spent in the guild made her realize that she needed to put her pride in her pocket. At the end of the day, it was much safer, cleaner, and free to live within the guild halls. Because she was a member they even had a room for her to do with as she pleased and it was secure enough that she would be the only one to be able to enter the room anyway. With that in mind, she slipped out of the guildhall under the cloak of night, with no full moon to guide her but instead the street lamps that littered the streets. Every once and again she would pass by a guard of the city but would say nothing so as to not blow her cover wide open.

It didn't take long before she was right at the doorsteps of the little store where she would get even more information on this cult. The store itself was located down a dark alley, which took many twists and turns to get to. Ianthe was impressed at how well hidden the store was and if one didn't know where to look they'd probably never find it. Once she got to the store she spoke the words that would allow her access " Illucifan Nagar" Her voice was low but calm, giving even more of an impression that she was supposed to be there. Without any question, the person at the door gave her a nod and let her in where another person would lead her to a back room with a tunnel at the far end of the wall. The tunnel led into a cavern.

The cavern was massive and it was being used as clearly as a place of worship, probably for whatever demon these cultists were praying to. It was creepy, damp, and dim honestly if she were thinking about it she would be insulted as a demon that they didn't make places look better for their chosen demon. The thought was a passing one as soon Ianthe was face to face with a man who began to question her the same way the rat-like man did earlier today. Funnily enough, she had seen that rat-like man only moments ago, grinning at her like he knew something she didn't. She didn't have much time to dwell on that as the questions that came out from the man were slightly different though along the same vein as the questions from eariler. SPY! SPY! GET THE FILTHY SPY That was her cue to leave. She had thought something was off about the questions she was being asked as she was the only person being questioned. After the first " SPY " she quickly turned around and high-tailed it out of there, pushing past anyone in her way as they were caught by surprise. Tracing her steps back to the tunnel, up the stairs, and out the back door which led into that twisting, turning, alleyway. She made easy work of getting rid of the men chasing her who seem to grow in number as they did chase her, their voices fading away behind her with each step. It was a good thing she wore a disguise, stripping out of the wig and cloak she wore. She didn't need any one of those freaks looking for her outside of tonight. Once she was sure she made it clean out she made her way to Captain Devon and reported every single detail of what happened. He thanked her and paid her which was enough.
