Quest Regulations

General

  • Quests are available to every member to be taken in order to accumulate experience, stat points, and jewels.

  • The user can only take quests that are of the same rank as themselves or lower.

  • Should you take someone with you on a quest that is ranked higher than yourself, you may take a quest that is at most one rank higher than the lowest-ranked member of the party.

  • Should the quest have a requirement of their such as completion of another quest, the user must meet those requirements before taking the quest.

  • Regarding quests as a requirement, the entire party must meet that quest completion requirement to take the quest.

  • Users can be restricted by their guild or faction to take quests from a certain alignment. The restriction can be found in the respective guild or faction page.

  • Guildless and neutral guild members can take both good and bad quests.

  • Users may only take one bad or good quest at a time.

  • At most, users can have a boost of 100% to their jewels and experience. Anything above doesn't affect the user anymore. Furthermore, at most, users can have a word reduction of 50% to quests.

  • The increase mentioned above only applies to the base rewards of quests. It doesn’t apply to additional jewels that one may gain, for example, bounties from Neutral quest.

  • Event Quests are not affected by personal modifiers such as reductions and increased rewards which would apply on other quests.

Process

  • If the user meets the requirement of the quest, they can post in the quest topic to request starting it. Should the user wish to take others with them, they must state the name of the other users in their request post as well.

  • Users can start quests immediately without waiting for a mod to approve them starting it.

  • Completed Good and Bad quests cannot be taken again by the same character.

  • Upon completion, the user requesting the quest must link the finished quest in the quest topic. The review moderator will then post a completion stamp and add the rewards to the profiles of the participants.

  • Users may only apply to start a new dark or good quest after the completion and rewarding of their current dark or good quest.

Quest Types

  • Good Quests: The quests listed in this section are quests that raise your fame. They require you to do good deeds or in some cases deeds that are simply deemed good in the eye of the public.

  • Bad Quests: The quests listed in this section are quests that raise your infamy. They require you to do bad deeds or in some cases deeds that are simply deemed bad in the eye of the public.

  • Event Quests: The quests listed in this section are either temporarily or ongoing for a while. In some cases, users must apply to participate in the event but if that's the case it will be stated accordingly. The rewards often differ from Good Quests and Bad Quests.

  • Neutral Quests: The quests listed in this section are quests that raise either your fame or infamy based upon their affiliation. These are completed with more flexible objectives which have little bearing on the eye of the public.

  • Storyline Quests: The quests listed in this section are storylines created by players to advance their own lore and maybe even site lore that would normally be managed by staff. Detailed rules and regulations may be found here.

Neutral Quests

  • Neutral Quests can be completed twice per week.

  • S-rank Neutral Quests can only be completed twice per month and count towards the monthly S-rank quest limit.

  • Neutral Quests can be done alongside other Quests.

  • Members may choose to complete an extra objective during Neutral Quests to claim an additional 50% jewels.

Social Interactions

  • Instead of Neutral Quests, users can submit Social threads for Quest rewards. Characters ranked between D-rank to A-rank (non Ascend/Restart) can also do their weekly and monthly quotas of Social Interactions alongside their Neutral Quests.

  • To be eligible for rewards, these Social Quests must be done with at least one other person.

  • These social threads should describe a small adventure or interaction with the world around them, such as committing crimes, fighting monsters, recruiting a new guild member, etc.

  • Submitted Social Interactions count towards the Neutral quest totals for that week and/or month.

  • Users may complete social interactions for one rank higher when with a partner and two ranks higher when interacting with two or more other individuals in the same topic.

  • Rewards are equivalent to base neutral quest rewards with quest modifiers.

  • The necessary word count cannot be reduced.

  • Social threads submitted as Social Interactions can not claim extra jewels by completing extra objectives instead users may claim an additional 50% of Jewels by completing double the word count requirement and an additional 25% by completing triple the word count requirement.

  • Users may claim Weapon Mastery Training for Social Interactions should they have someone with them, they will, however, receive +5, +10, +15, +20, +25 SP respective of the Rank of the Weapon Mastery instead of Jewels.

  • Users may claim Spell Training for Social Interactions should they have someone with them, they will, however, receive +10, +20, +30, +40 and +50 Mana respective of the rank of the Spell instead of Jewels.
