Amenra

Amen'ra didn't exactly take pleasure in harming animals but today was one of the days where he would have to do it regardless. Being a mage meant being an active member of society and helping those in need, and he felt a pull to do such a thing naturally. A gravitational nudge in the 'light' direction, despite what others may think of him because of his past.

It was the reason he was sitting dead center in a flock of sheep, simply waiting for the white wolf to appear. Farmer Jim insisted that he not let any of the sheep get hurt in the cross fires of the assassination and so the sun mage was equipped with his standard flaming sword. It's body sheathed to his own back and his eyes surveying the area thoroughly.

He'd opted for the use of solar vision, one of his niftier spells that allowed him to see the body heat of others around him; human or otherwise. It made stake outs so much easier than doing things the normal way, and it looked like the situation was about to get very interesting. Amber eyes a lit with solar fire would dart to a moving figure unlike the others he'd grown accustomed to, a much more lithe frame than the others.

It's four legs stalking slowly toward the pack of cloud like animals, and Amen'ra didn't move a muscle. Simply observing it's muscled frame, like a large dog with the capacity to tear a normal humans throat out; but to him it was no problem. His hand lightly gripping his swords handle and unsheathing it soundlessly and without a noise he was onto his feet, creeping toward the edge of the sheep's grouping.

Watching as the wolves mouth dripped with carnage and hunger, he readied the blade and hoped to make this as quick and painless as possible. So when the large canine lunged toward one of the unaware sheep, it's teeth met the body of the sun mages burning sword; causing it to reeling back in pain, yelping from the heat. It was in that moment of distraction that Amen'ra was whirling his blade up and slicing down to the ground, almost like an executioner.

The beast would give one more yelp before it's head was rolling onto the dirt and it's body plopped down lifelessly. Finally exhaling, he would sigh at the display of violence and then walk back over to where he sat; a large sack in hand. One sharp movement to open the bag and then he was moving to place the still dripping remains into the bag and close it tightly, holding it out from his body to avoid a mess. A quick strut to the farmers door and he would hold out the bag with a noble look.

Jim was more than happy of course and was moving swiftly to grab the mages reward, which admittedly wasn't much, but he had to start somewhere in the town. he couldn't just hop into dangerous tasks without building some trust with the locals while he was there. Taking his pay, Amen'ra would wave the man goodbye and be on his merry way, onto the next quest.
