Ianthe
Spoiler:

The choice was hard, actually it was one of the hardest choices she faced on a daily. Some may think this choice was an easy one but in reality it would shape just how well and productive her day would go and if she made the wrong choice she may very well be in a bad mode. Tapping a slender finger atop a wooden table, her well manicured nail making a slight tick noise with each tap her mind fogged over as she looked at the menu in her hand. Ianthe had been sitting in a cafe she had grown to enjoy over the food served at the Inn she stayed at. The cafe served all manner of food and it was delicious the only downside was that she had to wait abnormally long but she didn't mind because you can't put a time on perfection. " The apple pie... Or bacon and eggs with orange juice... " Her breakfast choices as of late had become such a prime aspect of her day that she couldn't go on without it. " Mmm Bacon and eggs. a good mix of savory and the orange juice would give me some sweetness. Perfect I would say. " Her words tumbled from her mouth, lazy and silently. She gave it a few more thoughts before she called over a waitress with the wave of her hand so that she could place in her order. In almost no time at all a Auburn haired waitress with a rather curvy body came sauntering over. Ianthe smiled but she couldn't get over the size of the breast that seem to hover over her even if her own could outmatch them. " Uh Yes, I would like Bacon and Scrambled eggs with some toast and honey oh and a jug or orange juice. " Smiling sweetly the Waitress ran the order back to Ianthe before setting off.

Once alone Ianthe pulled out a sheet of paper. on this paper were her duties for later on tonight. Since she had been so active in the town she decided to take up a quest for Dacol. Reading over the details she was suppose to meet him at Orchidia River a place she was very familiar with as she was recently there with another individual. Thinking about that time sent a chill down her back as the experience forced her to think over some serious thoughts and it gave her another reason to get to her homeland. She didn't stay long once she got her meal, she quickly ate and made her way back to the inn changing into some dark clothing and then heading out to meet with Dacol. It was already late afternoon when she arrived near the river. Dacol was also there looking like he saw a ghost but he also had a stubborn look about him that Ianthe found worthy.

" Ah hello there. I'm glad you could make it.. I assume you know why I called you here but I will go over the details once more... Awhile ago a good friend of mine got caught up with a mysterious entity around this river, the encounter landed him in the hospital. He is alright thank goodness but I cannot sit by and watch as something that dangerous wanders about.."

Ianthe

The duo began to walk towards the area with Ianthe taking the lead. She asked some basic questions to get a better understanding of the situation. The last time she was near this river she went in with no real info as to what she would be facing but now she knew and it seemed that this thing whatever it was evolved. The sky at this point had darkened considerably and the moon could be seen coming into view. There were no clouds this night so the moon only shone more brightly giving the world below a ethereal look. Fog seem to roll off of the waters and the site alone nearly took her breath away. She didn't get to enjoy the earth in all its splendor in such a long while that for a moment she almost didn't even notice the small glow. Her eyes locked onto it and she saw that everything that Dacol had been saying up till now was true.

It seemed the light took on a childlike form. It was cyan in color and glowing. It reminded Ianthe of raw magic. Her head tilted only slightly as she got closer to the entity before her. Something like a voice guided her to keep walking and Ianthe just felt compelled to do so as if she was lost in the sweet yet soft voice. It reminded her of her mother the way it spoke driving her further into its demands. Dacol followed close behind her but she didn't notice until he said something. Looking behind her Dacol ask her to try and talk to the being so that they could give that information to someone higher up. Ianthe frowned slightly, this was not the deal but rolling her eyes she looked back on towards the glowing cyan being. As if she it had heard Dacol the being began to speak to Ianthe. The young brown haired mage realized that she was the only one of the duo that could hear what the being was saying and that Dacol would just have to get those words from her. It turned out that the being was just some spirit who died long ago and because of magic it stuck around. Relaying the message back to Dacol he seemed eager to know more and the spirit wasn't done. Apparently there is going to be a great evil coming and the spirit wanted Ianthe to take care of it while also finding someone close and dear to the spirit itself. Ianthe shook her head on the outside but on the inside she knew she would do it. The spirit knew that as well and said it would meet her again one day and she knew it to be true. Without any more words it vanished into the ground and a headache came over her, causing her to nearly kneel at the suddenness of it. Dacol rushed over to her and asked if she was ok of course she nodded he was done taking his notes and before leaving asked her to let someone named Inspector Nilan know if she saw the entity again. She was paid and now she needed some well needed rest. Looking out over the river one more time she took her leave.
