What A Nice Day [Open] Empty Sat Mar 24, 2018 5:33 am

Ri Brighte
And there he was.

Having woken up just an hour before, the mage stood before the massive inn, silently wondering what he'd eat that day. Maybe he'll order something light. After all, it wasn't like he was going straight back home, afterwards. The day barely started, and he wanted to make the most of it. Since his arrival in the "Holy Capital", he hadn't had any time to visit anything. Well, except for the park, but that wasn't anything special.

"Oh, I know!" He'd suddenly say, to himself, "I'll go see the cathedral." After nodding twice, and grinning, Ri entered the inn, silently looking around. People were laughing, eating or drinking, and the mage couldn't be any more happy. He loved these kinds of places- where people wouldn't think about the bad things. With a content sigh, he walked to the counter and sat down, taking off his usual jacket and resting it on the surface before him. He raised a hand, then, and called out, "Yo! 'Tender!". The older man approached Ri, and looked at him, raising an eyebrow. He was cleaning a see-through mug, and it looked like he didn't have time for the boy's antics.

Thankfully, he didn't have to live through them, for Ri was quick to order, "Give me the..." He trailed off, thinking for a few seconds, "Yeah, the breakfast menu. And!-" He spoke, when the innkeeper turned his back, "An apple juice." It seemed he was quite happy with his choices, for he smiled proudly, after the bartender turned and went to get his order.

Resting his elbow on the counter, and his chin on his open palm, Ri looked around as he waited, his smile fading, and letting a bored expression take its place.

Sage †
"Curse you weird eye-colored elf!"

A man shouted at Sage as he was thrown into a cell for stealing jewels from a famous inn. Sage sneered and he walked away, he was the one who caught the thief well he caught most of the people in the cell, he's quite famous amongst the perps in the capital for his detective and combat skills. "Hey, Cindy! I'll be out for awhile to give Batra his jewels back and probably have breakfast lunch too," he said to his secretary while he took a pouch of jewels from her table. "Okay sir, if anything happens please report back to the headquarter and I think you can take the day off too since...", she looked at the files on her table, those are the case closed by him for the week. "Haha, thank you Cindy, have a nice day~", He left the headquarters with a smile etched on his face and a pouch of jewels in his hand, heading towards Batra's inn.

He arrived outside of Batra's inn, still wearing a smile, he swung open the door and walked inside with confidence and joy, he saw Batra cleaning a see-through mug and he locked his eyes on the bald man. When he was standing near the counter, he placed down the pouch of jewels on the counter his left hand on his waist, "There, your missing jewels." he said to Batra who just noticed him, and Sage was still smiling, proud to bring back the missing jewels to its rightful owner. "Damn you are fast!" Batra complimented Sage and took the jewels away. "Nah, the thief was just too stupid to not cover his tracks, I bet anyone could track him down.", he tried to sound as humble as possible plus he doesn't like it when he gets too much compliment because he has seen the effects of it.

Sage took a sit and said to Batra, "Like usual okay?", because Sage always goes there for breakfast and ordered the same thing every day, so he doesn't have to say what he wants to have. "As you wish.", now that he has nothing to focus on, he became aware of his surrounding, there was someone sitting beside him, so he turned his head to see what he looks like, and when Sage saw the man he's sitting next to he froze for a solid second and his eyes locked on the man's but then a grin could be seen on his face, a shy grin.

Ri Brighte
A few thoughts ran through Ri's mind as he waited. Thoughts like: Is the cathedral's entrance open, or does he have to pay a fee? Does he even have enough money to pay the fee? Will it cost a lot, since it's such a well-known place? And, the most important of all, why are cathedrals even built anymore? Aren't believers supposed to be so everywhere, not just in a designed building?

As he pondered those questions, he failed to realize that his juice had just been placed in front of him. He was broken out of his spell by the bartender, who snapped his fingers in front of his face, and then pointed at the beverage. Ri nodded, with a smile, and took hold of the glass, taking a few sips, and then resting it back on the wooden surface. His gaze set on the newcomer, who chose to sit next to him, and he grinned, raising a fist towards him. He waited for a fist-bump, clearly. "Hey, what's with you here?" He asked, through a small chuckle, "I wouldn't have thought to see you again so soon."

He turned back to his part of the table, and rested his hands on it, but his eyes were still on the Knight, "So, how's life?" He asked, through the same innocent smile.

He nodded to the bartender when his food arrived, two simple fried eggs, and three pieces of bacon were laid out in front of him. Expecting the man to ask for his money, he took out his wallet, and gave him the necessary jewels, before digging right in. He ate quickly, almost as if he hadn't eaten anything yesterday, but, despite that, he wasn't a messy eater.

Sage †
Ri extended a fist, and Sage doesn't fist-bumps with people for quite awhile so he feels a little bit weird but because it was Ri, "Umm, sure why not," he said slowly and giggled at the end of it then fist-bumping Ri. "I was just doing my job as a rune knight.", yeah, he did go there because he wanted to return Batra's jewels. "Well it's a small world I guess." Sage chuckled softly at Ri's statement. "Oh and thanks for the jewels, that was very nice of you.".

Ri then asked him a question that's very complex, his life. As an overthinker, Sage thought of many things, from his race to his magic, his financial issues and social issues too. But then he said to himself, 'Ah fuck it.'. "Well life's great, having fun catching bad guys but I do feel a little bit exhausted too.", he then glanced back at Ri, "What about you?", now he rested his shoulder on the counter and his cheek on his hand.

When Sage's order arrived, which was strawberry pancakes and a cup of latte, he took a fork and dug in. As pancakes aren't that hard to consume, Sage ate the whole thing in less than about 5 minutes. he moved onto his cup of latte and sipped it, the taste of the latte drove Sage mad in love with it. He then looked at Ri, "So any plans for today?" he asked with a warm smile on his cheek.

Ri pushed his plate aside once he finished eating, before reaching for his glass of juice, and drinking what remained of it. "Oh? A Rune Knight? Wouldn't have expected you to be one." He laughed, shaking his head, "Don't take it as an offense, I'm just kidding. I'm actually glad for you, not many are cut out for that." He continued, his smile never faltering. As the subject changed to the money he gave the boy, he shook his head, once again, "Ah, don't worry about it. Was the least I could do for helping me find my wallet. -And- being a talking buddy."

As soon as he spoke about catching criminals and such, Ri's smile grew into a grin. He had to stop himself, so to not make fun of him. Thus, he brought his hand to his mouth, coughing into it twice, to right himself. When the elf's question came his way, he had to stop, and think for a few solid seconds. "Actually, I'm doing fine, myself. I don't know how I managed to, but I've been doing fine. Even done a few quests here and there. The city's massive, by the way, can't believe I haven't managed to lose myself in it." He chuckled, once again, and grabbed his jacket. While he wasn't looking to leave so soon, he did want to give the boy some more space on his part of the counter, and so, he put it back on.

The mage hummed at his second question, before answering, "I was thinking of visiting the cathedral. Heard it's a hot-spot for tourists, and I wanted to see what all the fuss is about. Plus, I'm not running low on jewels at the moment." His last words were spoken while he patted his front right pocket, "Guess you have paperwork to do, huh." It was clearly a joke, given away by his soft laugh.

Sage †
When Ri said that he didn't expect Sage would be a rune knight, he reacted with "Hey!" along with a giggle. He couldn't hold himself but to grin when Ri coughed after Sage mentioned about catching bad guys, because he knew what's in his mind. When Ri answered his questions and mentioned quests, he noticed the lamia scale tattoo on the left side of Ri's neck. "Oh you're from Lamia Scale, I see.", which also gave him a hint that the man is a mage too, and wondered what his magic is but was too shy to ask him. He answered Sage's second question and Sage replied, "Well it is certainly a beautiful place to visit, plus I can get you in for free.", and to convince Ri he continued, "I'm quite famous k?" and giggled at the end of it.

Ri joked again, and Sage's reaction was grinning, "No," he replied, still grinning but his eyes squinched, "Plus I have the day off.". Then after a few seconds sitting at the counter, Sage was feeling soo excited to show Ri the beautiful cathedral that. "Let's go then!", his excitement could be heard in his voice and in his teeth-showing smile.

When they arrived at the Cathedral, some tourists were buying tickets. Sage lead Ri to a gate where the ticket collector was standing, "Good morning Josh," he said to the ticket collector, and he would open the gate for Sage like usual,"Oh and he's with me," Sage pointed at Ri with his thumb, the ticket collector would then let Ri pass the gate. "Come Ri, I have so much to show you.". Sage was clearly excited, his smile wide and his teeth could be seen, and his walking pace faster than normal,

Ri Brighte
In all honesty, if it weren't for the Rune Knight, Ri's day might have gone worse than he wanted it to. First, he didn't have the company of anyone, and second, he had to pay for the cathedral's entrance. But now, all changed! Thank the stars for fate.

At the mention of his guild, he instinctively reached a hand for his neck, rubbing the tattoo's spot. His smile became a tad bittersweet, but he quickly replaced it with his trademark grin. "Yeah. I've been a part of the guild for some time now. They're nice people, even if they don't seem like it. Sometimes."

At the mention of free entrance, Ri piped up, almost jumping out of his seat to hug the younger man. But- he restrained himself. Even this man-child knew how to behave himself in public. Instead, he stood, and with the boy's other words, he followed him, mimicking his smile.

Despite his doubts, it didn't seem that the walk to the cathedral was that long. A few buildings, some shopping stalls, and a park passed, they found themselves in front of the giant building. Ri admired the old, but charming architecture, before realizing that the Knight was ahead of him, already getting past the bouncers. He hurried to his side, and with a rather proud nod to one of the guards, he found himself inside the cathedral, free of charge. "This...This is amazing. I wouldn't have expected a building like to be beautiful both inside and out." He whispered, as his eyes darted around the walls, quite aware that this was a cathedral, and he wasn't supposed to speak out loud.

This wasn't the first time he visited the capital, but it was the first time he saw the cathedral from the inside. He didn't know what to think of himself. Was he lucky to have entered now, or was he stupid to not give it a try the other times he was here? Well, for now, that didn't matter, for he stood there, stunned by the beautiful architecture.

Sage †
Sage could feel Ri's happiness and the smile that he was wearing showed it too. When they got inside the cathedral, he could see that Ri was amazed by the architecture, and so did Sage, even tho he has been there a lot of times, the architecture never failed to amaze him every single time he goes there. Plus he likes art, he probably devoted his life to it too as he used his free time to sketch, paint and stuff, which made him wonder, "Do you like art?" he asked Ri while looking at him, with a little curl at the end of his lips. He then turned his gaze back to the amazing structures said, "I always do though, I spent hours painting and drawing, some may some that I was wasting my time, but I don't care, cuz it made me feel whole.", his voice soft, as if he was talking about someone he loves.

Then a sudden thought came into his mind, his eyes widened and so do his smile, he looked back at Ri with excitement, "Ooh and did I mentioned that I LOVE the acts they do on the theatre? The music, the emotion! the -grace- of it. I spent every friday night there, not regretting any of the nights.". Sage pupils dilate and wrinkles could be seen beneath his eyes due to his smile.

Ri continued to look around, at the massive statues, at the painted walls and the stained glass. He was simply blown away by the work put into this one single structure. The boy's question broke him out of his trance, and he turned to him, pocketing his hands. "Of course I do. After all-" He raised a finger, to further reinforce his point, "The world wouldn't be the world without art!". His voice was still hushed, but he couldn't help but start going on about his rather strange idea, "Think about it. The floor we stand on right now is the product of sculpture. The building as well. The woods? A painting made by nature. The city? A product of human imagination. If it weren't for art and creativity, we'd be..." He looked around, reaching a hand to tap his chin in thought, "Well, I suppose we'd still be fighting dragons." With a shrug, he turned back to the structures around him.

What the Knight said next captured his attention, though. An artist? Another one? By the Gods, he actually met someone who had some of his interests. A grin formed from his cheery smile, and he turned back to the elf, "Really? Man, I'd love to see some of your paintings." He nodded, twice. "I wish I could paint. Tried it once or twice, but I never could get off the shape I wanted." With a shrug, he sighed. He glanced around the room one more time, before he heard the mage's next words. He turned, sharply, his eyes widened. He looked like a deer in the headlights. Slowly, his smile began to come back, "Really?! They do plays here? I didn't even know Crocus -had- a theater! You have to tell me where it is." His whisper, this time, became louder, and he flinched when other tourists shushed him. "You have to tell me where the theater is." He repeated, now in a mock whisper. He still smiled, though.

Sage could only smile when Ri talked about art and stuff. When he reacted to what Sage said, Sage replied, "Well you can come to my room anytime, you know where it is, I can teach you if you want, it'd be fun,", and when he reacted to what Sage said about the theatre, he got extra excited, and Sage's reaction was, "Oh you like theatres too?" Sage became more awake, he couldn't believe he met someone that has the same interest as him. "Umm well I don't know where exactly it is but I know how to get there.", what he said might sound very weird but it's true, Sage was so excited when he's heading towards the theatre that he didn't notice the buildings near it. "So I guess we can see a show after this? Cause I -suck- at pinpointing directions," followed by a soft giggle. "There's this one time where a traveler asked me for directions to the train station, and he ended up at the docks instead." again followed by a soft giggle, he couldn't help it because the incident was too funny. "Well, are you up for it? One show after this sight-seeing?".

At the Knight's invitation, Ri's smile faded, and he squinted his eyes, almost as if he was suspicious of the boy's words. "That sounds suspicious." He was, actually. "Do you want to kidnap me?" For a few seconds, he seemed absolutely serious, before he broke out into laughter- He was shushed again, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head. "Seriously though, that sounds nice. It's been long since I actually tried painting."

At the second question, he nodded swftly, his smile quickly re-appearing, "Yeah, I love it. To watch it -and- to do it. I like to call myself a..." He trailed off, for dramatic effect, "Unknown actor. Of course, I'd never be able to do what -these- guys do on the stage, but I could always try." He thought back to his younger days, before he was found, when he would take on the roles of powerful mages, and save people- Which were mainly a crowd of imaginary people, attacked by an imaginary monster. But, a child's imagination can create more worlds than an adult's.

His head snapped back at him, when he began talking again, as he was broken out of his trance. He stifled a chuckle, afraid of the older people's hushes towards him. He nodded, "Y-Yeah." He began, trying to not laugh out loud. He brought his hand to his face, and coughed into it, again, to gather himself, "Yeah. Let's go." And with that, he took the elf's hand, and began walking out of the cathedral. Once outside, he'd turn to his companion, "After you, sir Knight." He spoke, clear sarcasm in his voice, but a friendly grin on his face.

Sage †
Sage rose his left eyebrow, squinched it a little too, a curl at the end of his lips when Ri said that what he said sounds suspicious but after a few seconds he burst into a laugh which Sage joined too and then was hushed by someone. When Ri said that he's an 'Unkown Actor' Sage giggled a little not because he thinks it's ridiculous but because it was cute, "I'd love to see you act.". Sage didn't expect that he wanted to quickly head to the theatre as he grabbed Sage's hand and lead him out, and for some reason he liked it, him grabbing his hand, it's been awhile since anyone has ever had physical contacts with him, even just grabbing the hand. Which made him realize that he has been alone for quite awhile until he met this guy. When they're outside of the cathedral, Ri made a joke and Sage laughed at it cause now they could as they're no longer inside the cathedral, his eyes wrinkled and his lips curled, he was happy, very.

When they reached the theatre, Sage saw the same man sitting inside the ticket counter, "Heyyy," he greeted the man behind the counter, "Oh didn't expect to see you today, it isn't friday right?" the man asked with a rise of one of his eyebrows. "Nah I'm just showing my buddy here where's the theatre, is there any shows playing?" he explained while glancing at Ri for a moment then looking back at the man, "Oh yes there is actually and it's about to start,", Sage quickly bring out his pouch and paid for the amount of two people as he already know how much he must pay, he shoved the jewels on the counter, "Two tickets then please." with a curl at the end of his lips, "Here you go," Sage took the tickets and turned around looking at Ri, "Let's go." while wearing a bright smile.

Ri Brighte
As they walked, Ri made sure to look at all the buildings around him. He tried to keep in mind every small detail, and the street's names. At one point, he opened his mouth to ask something, but he realized that it wouldn't matter, so he just continued following. He was actually quite surprised how this day turned out. From eating a simple breakfast to going on an adventure with his only friend from the town. Or, at least, the only one he knew of. A small smile formed on his face, as his eyes set on the sky. No clouds to be seen, just the sun shining down on them. That's not to say it wasn't cold, for if it weren't for his jacket, Ri would be shivering in his boots.

They reached the theater, and the Knight paid- But, once they were inside, Ri reached into his pocket, took out his wallet, and began counting his jewels. He gave quick cough, to clear his throat, but to also get the mage's attention. Without any other words, he just handed him the jewels. Before he could argue with him, Ri went further into the massive room, and took himself a seat, in the middle row. He patted the one next to him, and waited for the show to start.

"You know, I never would have expected to see a drama piece with someone I've met only once." He spoke, with a chuckle, "I suppose life can lead to these situations, huh." He flashed him a grin, before turning his attention to the stage, where the show is just about to start.

Sage †
Ri coughed twice wanting attention, Sage then turned around and looked at Ri, his hands extended to give Sage some jewels, but then Sage just turned around and smirked, showing that he didn't want to take the money, "It's okay, but you can buy my tickets the next time we come here again." and winked. They walked to the theatre, Ri took his seat first and patted the seat next to him, Sage's eyes wrinkled and the end of his lips curled into a slight smile, he sat beside Ri and was excited to watch the show. "Well yeah, life's full of unexpected shits," Sage replied when Ri stated his statements.

The show started, it was about vikings, and usually, vikings shows have some sort of violence in them. Sage wasn't prepared, he actually goes to the theatre on friday because he knew that there are no horror shows on friday, and violence is some kind of horror to Sage because he can't tolerate it, but that day wasn't friday. He doesn't want to look scared so he acted cool first, but his eyes expanded, as he was scared of what will appear soon.

A scene then was played, a man's hand was chopped off, and that was it, Sage's hand reached to the only thing he could, Ri's hand, and because he was so scared he didn't notice that he was holding Ri's hand, so he keeps on holding it.

Ri Brighte
"Nah, nah, nah." He spoke, at the refusal. "This is one of my last days in this city. You take the jewels." And he handed them back to the boy. It'll be a cold day in hell when Ri's mind would be changed on this subject.

As soon as the show began, Ri's eyes remained glued to the actors. He watched every single move, and listened to all of their lines. Once or twice, he'd even repeat some of the lines, so as to see if he could pull them off- And to see how they sounded when recited by him. As the actual action began, he almost stood up and shouted along with the warriors. He restricted himself, though, knowing full well that he was in the middle of an almost full theater. "I wonder how much it took to pull off those effects..." He'd mutter, gently scratching his chin. "Eh, Sa-..." He stopped, mid-sentence when the frightened mage grabbed his hand. Raising an eyebrow, he leaned forward, mainly to look at his full expression. The fear he saw actually scared Ri as well- He didn't know what to do. So he brought his other hand, his free hand, to pat his shoulder, "Are you alright? You look like you just saw a ghost. C'mon, let's go get some air." With a somewhat re-assuring smile, he stood, hunched over so as to not block the view, and gently pulled the Knight along.

Once outside, he'd let go of him, and pocket his hands. His face showed concern, as he eyed him, from head to toe, "Can you stand?"

Clearly, he wasn't used to these kinds of situations. His voice tone indicated the panic that ran through him. Maybe he did something to upset him. He looked quite scared when he looked at him. Maybe it was the play- Well, it could be. Not many are that good with gore. In all honesty, Ri doesn't prefer it himself, but knowing that this was a play, he had no problem with it.

"I guess we should've come here some other time, huh." He spoke, with a light chuckle, in an attempt to lighten the mood.

Sage †
As soon as Sage realized this, he let go of Ri's hand with a gasp. "Yeah let's.". They walked out of the theatre, with Sage's arms hugging his own body, his eyes on the ground, frozen. When Ri chuckled, Sage smiled, his lips curled, he raised his chin and looked at Ri, then closed his eyes and opening it back again, with a little watery tear that could be seen on his eyelashes, "Oh my god, I totally ruined it right? You were having so much fun." continued with a little giggle of his. "I just don't know why but I can't stand gore and violent stuff and that's why I go to the theatre only on fridays.", and laughing a little again thinking about his softness even tho he's a man. He wiped his tears on his sleeve laughed, "You know what? Fuck this, let's get ice cream.", Sage's very fluent in bullshit, he can curse all day long and not feel wrong about it. His arms crossed, showing that he's okay and to make himself feel secure.

When they reached an ice cream stall, which is just a few steps from the theatre, Sage then froze in his steps and giggled, he looked at Ri, "Can I please pay for the both of us? I want to make up for the show, please." He looked at Ri, his eyes still sore from the tear that accumulated before.

Was Ri panicking before? Yes. His only friend was scared, and most likely more panicky than he was, and he didn't know how to cheer him up. But now? As soon as he saw that tear, he really didn't know what to do. So, he just went with his instinct. He took his hands out of his pockets, and rested them on the boy's shoulder, in order to offer what comfort he could think of at the moment, and to gather his attention. He didn't know what to say at first, but then it hit him. He'd just say the truth. "Hey. Don't beat yourself up, alright? Everyone's got their fears." He smiled, softly, in hopes of giving reassurance to the mage. "And you didn't ruin anything. So what if I couldn't see a damned theater play? Who cares? There'll be other times!". At the boy's next words, his smile turned into a grin, and he moved to his side, slinging an arm around his neck, "There you go! That's the Sage I know and love!" He flashed another grin, before bringing his free hand before him, and pointing to the horizon, "March, my good friend! And onwards, to sweet milky ice!". In hopes of having cheered up the Knight enough for him to forget about the day's mishap, he walked forwards, his trademark grin present on his face.

Before they reached the stall, Ri would've kept his arm slung across his shoulder, while singing old tunes, and songs- Mostly to make a goof out of himself. He stopped, once in the store's vicinity, and unslung his arm from his shoulders. At the request he only sighed, and took a step back, bowing, and gesturing to the man that he could pass and pay. "I'd like one with vanilla, then." He simply spoke, after standing back up.

After getting their ice creams, Ri would beckon the elf to follow him while he looked for an empty seat. It didn't take long to find one, for most people began now to make their way home. Ri didn't know why, the day was barely over, after all. Either way, he sat down, and began eating.

Sage †
It was then when Ri touched him again, both of his hands on his shoulder, Sage looked at Ri, him being shorter than Ri made him raise his head. He comforted Sage with his words, Sage giggled again when Ri made himself look silly, this is what he has been missing anyways, a bond with someone, someone who he can call a friend. Or maybe something more than that, who knows?

Sage could only curl the end of his lips more when Ri requested for a  vanilla ice cream. Sage turned around and walked on towards the ice cream man, "Two vanilla ice-cream please." Sage said to the man, the man didn't say anything, which was good, Sage kept on smiling because he could still feel the warmth and love of a family. "Here you go," the ice-cream man handed the two ice-cream, sage paid for it first before taking it both using both of his hands. He walked to the bench with Ri, handing his ice-cream to him, the elf then leaned on the bench, his right hand holding his ice-cream, and his left hand on the bench, resting, tired of what just happened. "Let's talk about you now, cuz you know too much about me,"  he'd say with a soft chuckle, not looking at Ri though, his eyes fixated at the nature they're facing, the trees, the flowers, the birds, etc. His tongue slowly licks the ice cream, without making a sound or whatsoever tho, as he moves it slowly, enjoying every sensation of it, and every moment he's spending with someone he's comfortable with.

With his ice cream now in hand, Ri happily took a bite out of it. That's right. He bit into it. Almost like the cold didn't bother him. He stopped enjoying his treat when the boy gathered his attention. With a soft hum, he crossed his arms, careful to not waste a good free ice cream by dropping it on himself or the ground, and set his gaze towards the sky. "There isn't much to say about me." He spoke, "I grew up in Baska, learned my magic from a five hundred-year old man..." He trailed off, waiting for the other mage's reaction. "I'm kidding. I think he was about sixty. Not sure myself, he never mentioned it." With a chuckle, and a shake of his head, he continued, "Wow, there really isn't anything interesting about me, huh. I guess I'm just someone who likes to talk." He shrugged.

Having said that, he brought the ice cream back to his mouth, and took a bite out of the cone, munching on it for a few seconds, before taking another- and then another. And so, his ice cream was done in no less than five minutes.

"I'll be leaving Crocus in two days." He suddenly spoke, deciding to break the ice. "Next stop: Magnolia." With a smile, he directed his gaze back to him, "I really had fun, y'know. I could've spent my days around here only doing quests and being bored, but- hey- you really made my time here more fun. Thanks." He raised his fist, in hopes of getting another fist bump from him. The smile turned into a grin, if he accepted, but either way, he'd turn back to the sky, "Tomorrow I'll probably either laze around, or do some other quest."

"What about you? How long are you sticking around this town?" He suddenly asked, pocketing his hands, and giving the elf a raised eyebrow.

"Oh you're from Baska, I actually love that place." Sage suddenly said, because that was true, very true. He made a weird face when Ri said that he was thought by a 500 year old man, squinching his eye and raising and eye-brow, when Ri chuckled, Sage also giggled, "Silly," he said to Ri. They then enjoyed their ice cream together, but Ri finished his first for sure, he was fast. Sage then froze at the question, he then said the truth, "I actually don't know what I'm going to do with my life, I never actually had a destination or an objective.".

Sage sighed, he looked back at the nature and the wilderness that lay away from him, "Maybe I'll train my magic, it has been long since I do that, plus I'm an elf, I have to return to nature sometimes." He looked at Ri, while taking the last bite of his ice cream. "Well I don't know, maybe one day I'll find something else to do, one day." He looked at the sky, at the clouds and the sun and the millions of possibilities there is, He hoped something big happened to his life, where he could at least have a goal or something, but the only miracle he has now is Ri. "I guess I don't have anything big happening in my life huh?" with a slight sigh at the end, Sage sounded like he was joking but it was the sad truth of his life.

"You don't?" His first reply was, once he found out of the boy's future plans. Which were none. He hummed, as his gaze set back to the sky. "Well, learning magic is always fun and all, but- you have to want something from life other than that." With a shrug, he turned his attention back to him, "You could become an artist." He smiled, "I mean, I'm sure that your paintings will get you living a good life. Then again, you could always go for being an S-Class Mage. I'm pretty sure the jewels you get from one of those'll set you for a few years." Giving a soft chuckle, he then gently patted the boy's back.

"Return back to nature, huh?" He mused, a thoughtful smile forming on his face "That sounds nice. Being able to live free." With a soft sigh, he stood, and cracked his back. "You make your own life, not the other way around." Most wouldn't actually expect this from the man-child, but he -could- have his clarity moments. One of which happened now, to the elf's luck. "Well, I guess it's my time to leave." He suddenly spoke, with a light chuckle, "It's getting late, and I'll have to wake up early tomorrow." Reaching a hand over, he patted the elf's back, once again, "I guess this is the last time we get to see each other, huh. Well, at least in this city." He grinned, "Come on, give me a hug." His grin only grew as he extended his arms and waited for his good-bye hug.

And with that done, he'd give the mage a wave, before turning, and heading off. "And good luck on your training." He called, turning to look at him, while walking backwards. He stumbled. As his life flashed before his eyes, he quickly gathered himself, and with a deep breath, he turned his attention back to the road, and walked.

On his way to the inn, he passed a random announcement on one of the park's benches. "Lost sword, need help." With a raised eyebrow, Ri took the piece of paper, folded it nicely, and stuck it in his pocket. A matter best left for tomorrow, for today he was only in the mood for sleeping.

Sage †
for once in his life, Sage felt like someone cared for him, and loved him the way he is. Ri is the person that supports him and gives him good advice, Sage looked at those golden eyes, and smiled, his lips curled once more and his eyes wrinkled a little.

Ri then said he needs to leave, which was actually very hard for Sage, for someone sensitive like him to say goodbye to someone so precious to him,  when Ri stood up he stood up too, his eyes on him and he didn't care about the rest of the world because it will be the last time he will be seeing someone so precious. Ri extended his arms and Sage ran into his arms, hugging him tightly, their cheeks' skin was with contact, "thanks for everything we had today, I'll never forget you, I hope we meet again someday." with Sage's last words a tear of his might have dropped on Ri.

Ri then walked away, with a wave and a wish of good luck, Sage smiled, a tear of joy and sadness can be seen in his eye, he waved back at Ri and said, "have a nice journey! be careful! luv ya!" his day ended like that, he will never forget about this man named Ri, he looked forward to seeing him again, he's too young to not befriend and having a good journey with someone so supportive and caring about him.

"One day," the whispering words escaped Sage's mouth, with a last look at the blonde.
