Lacie Eventide
The hotel room was boring when she arrived, it was dark and silent and it gave her an eerie feeling that she couldn’t place and that she didn’t like and she was just walking around. Going back and forth in trying to find a decision in what to do but the only thing she could come up was that she would either try another job or go and do groceries and maybe she could combine it a bit. She frowned and crossed her arms in front of her chest, she had more important things to do but that didn’t work out and thus she sort of had given up by not doing anything about it and she shook her head and made sure to brush her long hair before leaving the hotel again and making a mental note of what she needed to buy. She needed fresh vegetables, some noodles, milk and a lot more things. It felt like she had her own house again but now in Hargeon instead of Magnolia and she had to pay rent for it instead of having it because her mother had financed everything. She took the wrong turn so instead to the super market, her feet carried her to the library because something else had entirely popped up in her mind as she was thinking hard about groceries that she would have to buy.

She took the first book of the shelf very far in the back of the library, there was no one else here and the only reason it was warm here was because of the fire burning in the fireplace. Her eyes focused on the flames as she mentioned the incarnation and stared at the reflection of her father, where had he suppose to had golden eyes, they were now totally black. She grinned and finished the incarnation with the ending words and the flames turned back to flames again. No one would have been able to see what she had though. She shut the book with a loud thud and stood up from the seat she had taken and dropped the book back on the shelf and with a not too fast step, she tried to get out of the library as if nothing was wrong. She tried to hide her grinning but the fact that it had worked made her a happy little Lacie. As if she was but a toddler who got the toy she had always asked for, she would destroy her own family step by step and her father was first on the list, Alice she had given out of hands and she would see when that would happen. She had to resist the urge to skip towards the town centre of Hargeon to find the quest board, completely forgotten that she wanted to do some groceries before trying to find a job again. It wasn’t that far of a walk and it was in the middle of the afternoon, considering everything; she had done quite some jobs already. Two to be exact and it was very interesting how that all went.

Lacie Eventide
Still resisting the urge to skip, Lacie entered the square with the fountain and looked around, she still tried to find the culprit that stole her trench coat but the child or well the children weren’t so stupid to hang out here again. She walked around the fountain towards the quest board and looked around on the quests that were pinned on it, but nothing sounded interesting and she was unsure which one to pick since she didn’t want to feel bored. That’s when she felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around to look at a bland woman. ”My name is Raina and I’m looking for an assistant today.” Well didn’t the job just got offered in her hands, so she accepted, no idea what it was about but it couldn’t be so difficult considering this woman. So she followed after discussing the reward of the job and while following Raina, she asked more about the job as she had called it testing waters but she had no idea it was literally in a lab. She wasn’t all that scientific and all, no idea how everything worked but Raina explained it all very clearly and she let Raina do the work and simply write down the results. This sounded very easy and basically it was but the ranting Raina did about water pollution, repeating herself four to six times, it was horrible. Especially when she was testing for pollution that was even worse. But Lacie kept on smiling, thinking about the results of her father’s curse and that it had worked, it was easy to keep smiling like that.

When the results were done Lacie looked it over with Raina and it wasn’t all that bad, that was good. But she quickly asked for her reward and let Raina consider more of the test because if she had to listen one more time about water pollution, she was afraid she would explode into a disgusting water fountain. She felt a bit rude to ask but she said that she totally forgot to do groceries and thus she had to hurry away because we didn’t want her to be without food before the shops closed. That was all nonsense, there were enough stores open and besides that; there was the 8-island and she could still pay for going for dinner. With one last look at Raina she put the reward in her purse and quickly, perhaps too quick, she opened the door and stepped out. She didn’t want to see Raina ever again and if she did, she hoped she would not be alone. Which reminded her of something else that she should be doing but she still had no idea how. She remained standing in front of Raina her front door spaced out as she was thinking about what she should do until she heard the door open and Raina looked at her, ”I started to worry about the pollution.” she muttered before waving Raina really goodbye for now.
