Kazumi Kiseki

•Kazumi Kiseki•

Today looked like a good day to participate in some Volunteer work or Community service. Not that a day had to look any particular way in order to do so, true enthusiasts would probably go if it were storming. However, Kazumi was admittedly not one of those types of people, so to her, this lightly overcast day was as good a day as any, really. She had just noticed that the cathedral had been looking for some volunteers. Kazumi was not aware of every detail involved, but she did know that it involved caring for the sick. She figured this would be a good way to give back to the Community.

Magnolia was a town that Kazumi loved very much since moving in. In fact, it was one of the VERY few places that she felt she could ever call home. After she left Latinia, She felt as though there would never be any place where she would belong. Thankfully, Magnolia and the Fairy Tail guild had proven her wrong. That was probably the biggest reason why she chose to volunteer on this day. She wanted to be able to say thank you to the city that had given her so much thus far.

Kazumi milled about her apartment, much earlier than usual. She was apparently supposed to meet with Father Jerad in the morning to get more information about what it was that she would be doing. So after she took her morning shower, she got dressed in an old T-shirt that was thrown in her closet and a pair of black shorts, as well as socks and sneakers. She put up her hair in a single braid behind her so that it would not get in her way, and then she was off to go meet with the priest in the City's cathedral.

The walk over there took a bit longer than she would have liked. She had never actually been to the cathedral before, so she had to go find some directions before she could truly depart. This meant a quick trip to the Fairy Tail guild hall so ask if anyone knew where it was on the map, and then once she got her answer she was then able to find her way to the church. Still, because she had a map with her, She did not get lost on the way, instead walking slowly until she found her destination.

Now it was just a matter of finding where she was supposed to be. thankfully, she spotted a group of other volunteers nearby, More do-gooders surrounded by the ill. It seemed that they all had already gotten their assignments, and now Kazu had to locate the priest to obtain hers. She looked around, trying to spot someone that looked like they could be Father Jerad. Kazu had never actually met him before, so she even asked around to try to find him. When she did, he was on his knees, tending to an elderly woman. The crystal mage cleared her throat. "Excuse me, are you Father Jerad?"

Kazumi Kiseki

"Why yes, That is me." the good Father responded to Kazumi's question as he stood up to converse with the woman. "Are you here to help the cause?"
"Yes, my name is Kazumi Kiseki, a wizard from Fairy Tail. I saw that you needed some help and am here to offer my services wherever they are required if you don't mind." She held out her hand to Father Jerad in greeting, and he took it, giving it a firm shake. "Thank you very much for wanting to help, Ms. Kazumi." he mused, "Anything to help heal the sick is much appreciated."

The Father crouched down and pulled a small satchel out of a duffel bag. "Let me tell you what's been happening. There seems to be some sort of disease spreading through Magnolia, but it hasn't been made as public as it might need to be if we don't contain it." He pulled out a small bottle of hand sanitizer from the satchel, showing it to Kazu before putting it back. "Make sure you keep clean. If the illness spreads, then this whole venture is counterproductive." He then pulled out a thin mask filter. "Not required, but if you want to stay extra safe you can put this mask on to keep the germs away." Finally, he took out some medicine. "We have been working with Khalash's shop to get some medicine for these people, and while it won't work right away, we think this might be the cure. At the very least we think it will help. Please give this to every patient in your block. And your block will be..." He put the medicine back in the satchel and handed it to Kazu as he looked around the room. Shortly afterward he stopped looking and pointed to an Area at the far wall. "Over there. If you could help those people in that block that would be much appreciated." Kazumi agreed to this and walked over there, careful not to get in anyone else's way.

For the next few hours, Kazumi went to work, offering medicine to the sick. Her favorite patient was a woman about her age, who told her that she also wanted to be a guild wizard, but her magic was store bought and weak. "Nonsense! Just keep practicing and come Join me in Fairy Tail. I'm sure you'll do just fine."
"Hah, Only if I ever get cured." Kazumi handed her a bottle of medicine. "Of course you will. This medicine comes from the best drugstore in all of Magnolia." This continued on in a looped process, Talking to patients and giving them aid, but it was actually pretty fun to meet everyone, even under such circumstances. Kazumi almost did not even notice when it was time to close up shop. Of course, it was a good thing, because Kazumi had run out of meds and from the looks of it, so had many of the other volunteers. The group all congregated around Father Jerad, done with their tasks. "Thanks, everyone. I have a special medicine from Khalash that's supposed to help with your body's defenses. I would like to give some to each of you for your hard work." He passed the vials around and thanked everyone once again. After that, everyone went on their way, and Kazumi was feeling good about doing something for the community.
