Overall: Physically he appears to be a well-toned and slightly muscular young man standing at an unusual height of 6'1 feet and weighing in at 185 pounds. His skin is on the fair side and unblemished by any visible scars. His eyes are sharp yet kind looking the color of honey brown - his facial features are sharp with perfectly arched eyebrows. His lips always seem to be in some variation of a smile - unless when serious or angry. Finally, his black hair is short and messy yet somehow tidy enough to look right on him. Yaxley tends to dress casually smart - preferring dress shirts, slacks, and simple black shoes. He prefers simple and neat clothes and rarely wears anything too grandiose or flashy. When on duty he wears his own altered version of the Rune Knights uniform - which happens to be a sharp black suit and tie (plus matching pants and shoes) combo with the insignia of the Rune Knights contrasting against the black with the white colored symbol. Extra: He hides them well but he does have a few scars on his chest and upper arms - as well as a large, beautiful, tattoo of a dragon on his back. Personality Personality: Yaxley, is first and foremost an easygoing individual. He doesn't sweat the small stuff and rolls through his life unaffected by others negativity. His lighthearted attitude should not be mistaken for laziness or lack of drive, however. As Yaxley holds not only a strong determination to improve himself and those around him - he is also hardworking and strong-willed. He's no newcomer to pain both physical and mental due to his dear old-man's training regiment when he was growing up. Being of some sort of noble birth (no matter how minor it is) he has manners and politeness burned into his dna. He can be surprisingly cunning and even manipulative with his words -throwing off the arrogant and haughty with his unruffled and amusing attitude only to subtly mock them, all the while with a smile on his face. He is his mother's son as much as he is his father's and her wild, willful, and downright stubborn nature that she repressed throughout her life seemed to pass on to Yaxley with a bit less restraint. There are times when flashes of his more hot blooded nature comes to the surface - a flicker of amber in his honey-brown eyes, a slight shift of his tone of voice, or his smile becoming more feral. While not a battle maniac he does enjoy a good bout friendly or not-so friendly. However when the situation turns down a more darker path he forgoes his usual enthusiasm and becomes serious. His perpetual smile fades into a frown and his eyes sharpen into a focused glint. He doesn't normally get seriously or even angry - but when he does... it's best to watch out. If one were to give him an animal motif he would be a lion - lazy, sometimes even cute - but also proud, ruthless, and unrelenting when pushed too far. Likes:

Magic Magic Name: Wrath of the Desert Magic Element: Earth Magic Description: Wrath of the Desert is Yaxley Nightroad's magic that lets him manipulate the element of sand, the sub element of Earth magic. With it he can do many creative things - such as capture and squeeze enemies until they are unconscious, scatter sand particles into the air to get a basic radar-like sense of whatever the sand touches. As well as create shields and barriers of sand to protect himself or an ally. Lastly he can use his magic to create sand projectiles to cause blunt force trauma to the enemy. Being a sub-style of Earth magic his sand magic also carries the same weaknesses. Water and/or blood will weigh down and thus slow the sand he controls making it harder to manipulate. Fire can turn his sand into glass which makes it unusable, and lightning based magic is able to pierce his sand-based defences easily with enough force. History History: Yaxley was born to the minor Noble House of Nightroad. His grandfather who was once a mage-for-hire of common birth would find his true calling as a part of the Rune Knights. By the time he reached his mid 30's he managed to rise high enough in the ranks to be granted minor nobility. He would then marry woman who was also from a minor noble house for political gain - and eventually give life to Braxan Nightroad - Yaxley Nightroad's father. Braxan would grow up to follow his father's footsteps as a Rune Knight - but a simple scout mission gone wrong would end his career prematurely. Having a bum knee made it nearly impossible for him to continue his work like he used to - turning him bitter and sour as he watched his youth quickly pass him by. Like his grandfather he would marry a woman of noble repute and sire a son, who he named Yaxley. Gladdened from having a male heir he began planning on making his son achieve what he could not. But Yaxley was a spitfire just like his mother. Unruly and wild he much preferred doing what he wanted instead of what he was told. However, Braxan would have none of that and forcefully began Yaxley's training and conditioning to become a Rune Knight. Yaxley and Braxan didn't have the best relationship - even as the boy grew older he treated his old-man with the barest minimum of respect - his encounters with his father chilly at best and frigid at worse. Still, Yaxley had improved a lot over his youth even learning to harness his magic by the time he turned ten years old. He worked hard and suffered a lot under his father's training regiment - but provided satisfying results for Braxan. When it came time for him to join the Rune Knights it proved to be much harder than what Braxan had to go through back in his youth. Because of this - despite his best efforts he couldn't get into the Rune Knights on his first try. He was nothing but determined however - seeing it as a challenge worth conquering - not for his father's petty wish-fulfilment, but for his own personal satisfaction. He would finally achieve his first step into the hierarchy of the Rune Knights as a Page - the lowest rank of the Rune Knights - at twenty years old. Yaxley refuses to be content where he was however - as he looks beyond with a smile on his face not letting his difficulties get to him. He would become the Captain-Commander one day, as long as he never gives up. |
