Jaden
Jaden sighs to himself. "why did I take such a pointless job?" Up until this point Jaden has strictly tried to take non-combat jobs. As he is gotten older fighting has become difficult for him. Fighting was never the problem, stopping has become increasingly difficult for Jaden. When he was younger anytime he got into a fight there would be a nagging voice in the back of his head telling him to keep going, Keep fighting keep hitting your opponent until they stop moving altogether. That voice used to be easy enough to ignore, but now it's not a nagging voice, It's a burning urge a booming desire, almost a need To completely finish off his opponent. He fully well knows where this urge comes from and he refuses to give in and let "her" win.

Yes, this means he is stuck doing a bunch of busywork most of this time but at least it pays and he does feel like he is losing himself in the process. Jaden pulls a book from his coat pocket. "Maybe I'll get lucky and the goblins lost interest in the jewels and they just did somewhere" He chuckled to himself Knowing full well how unlikely that is. "I have made more than enough noise there's no way the goblin doesn't know I'm here," Jaden thought to himself. His best guess was they were waiting to catch him off guard. which was perfectly fine with Jaden, He had acquired a new book and he was very eager to begin reading it so he could wait for the goblins to attack him and maybe read a few pages in the meantime. As Jaden walked along reading his book He reached into his pocket and pulled out would look like gemstones. Of course, these were just costume jewelry but he figured that the goblins would be smart enough to tell the difference between these and anything so they were defined as bait.

He began to playfully toss them in one hand while he read his book. No sooner than he revealed the gems he could hear rustling the nearby bushes. "About time, I was afraid I would be here all day waiting for you little creeps to find me," Jaden thought to himself. At the corners, I didn't see the flash of steel. He would slightly shift his head to the side as the clumsy goblins blow whizzes past his face. Jaden would lift his eyes from his book and see three tiny little green goblins standing in front of him. He would notice noise coming from behind them and glance over her shoulder to see two more goblins. "I'm impressed you all have a little bit of strategy going here.  I would have figured you would have just wildly attacked me one after another with no notion of strategy or positioning." One of the goblins begins to hold out his hand seemingly demanding something from Jaden. Jaden shuts his book and puts it back into his coat pocket. "Oh, you want these do you?" holding out the gemstones so the goblins could get a full view of them. Certainly Jaden would toss them into the air. He watches all the goblins
Beady little eyes danced upwards to follow the gemstones. Now is the moment he was waiting for to take all of them out quickly and efficiently as possible while they were distracted. He had hoped that he could just intimidate them to get the gemstones back but seeing how they were openly robbing people he couldn't very well leave these little monsters to their own devices, So euthanization was the best option.

As of three goblin's eyes follow the gemstones upwards Jaden lowered his body and shot forward. He cocked his right arm back as a rush of arcane energy poured out of his fist. "One blow to the head should be the quickest way," Jaden thought. Once in range, he thrust his arm forward making solid contact with the first goblin head sending its limp lifeless body should flying backward. At this point, the other two goblins had begun to react to Jane's attack. 12 is left began to raise a sword but before he could Jaden sent his face crashing Down on top of the goblins head slamming it into the ground. The third goblin now behind him jumped into the air, Jaden quickly turned around and And slammed his forearm into the goblin sending the fly backward crashing into a tree, and falling limp to the ground. "Ok, only two left now" Jaden quickly turned to the last two goblins both have horrified looks on their face. That site alone was enough to make Jaden regret this decision but he knew that it was a slippery slope from robbery to murder and he very well could let these two goblins live. He shot off towards them this of course because both of them to turn tail and run Unfortunately the goblins were fast enough to avoid  Jaden's attack He made a sweeping motion with his right hand and both goblins fell to the ground in multiple pieces almost like they been cut by a blade.

After Jaden was sure that all the goblins were dead he sat there a moment breathing heavily desperately trying to get regain his composure after a few seconds of this Jaden seemed to calm down after a few minutes of searching the bodies he found the gemstones he was looking for amongst other things that he was sure that these goblins stolen from wary travelers. As Jaden gathers up all the stuff he asked himself the question why does he take this job again. As he opens his book and begins to make his way back to town remarks to himself how the next job he takes will be something easy like finding a lost cat or delivering a letter to some faraway relative normal combat jobs if he can help it
