This is the first time ever for Akuma to be in Orchidia. He arrived here not so long ago and he has been exploring Orchidia since then. Food, merchants , store, blacksmiths, he already look for those and seeking for the best at that section. Been strolling around this city does help him to understand Orchidia, he has been hearing about some rumors around this city but this one seems go get his attention. It’s like some easy way to make money, he has been hearing that a wealthy land owner in Orchidia has set his sights on a derelict building site inside the city, with the hopes that he will turn it into a drug shop. However, the building was abandoned because of an infestation of giant rats, who entered through a tunnel from the sewers and have hurt people in the past. The land owner is looking for someone who can kill those rats, and send them back in the sewers. Also the likely have a leader in that sewer so killing them and blocking up the entrance should suffice. The land owner also requested that any stolen loot you find in the sewers is handed over, as the building now belongs to him.

This rumors has been around and he heard it a few times, he think that since this is the first he for him in Orchidia, taking this easy request won’t be a problem. Plus he already plan to take those stolen loot on the rats lair if there are any loot right there instead of giving it back to the land lord, it’s surely an easy money for him. Akuma decided to have a walk on Orchidia marketplace to search for more information. When he strolling around while looking for that place or some information a merchant approach him and say “It’s right there, right down this street. That place you’re looking for is like a shithole, I saw a big rats around the ceilings. I believe that’s the place you’re looking for right. Judging from the look on your face, you must be hearing some rumors about that building and the owner of that land right? And you’re here to take that request and the rewards, am i right?”. Getting this information Akuma decided to ask more details about the land owner and his request. “So what happened in there? And what is that place anyway?” says Akuma asking to the merchant.

“That place supposed to be a drug shop, that was the original plan from the land owner. But the building was abandoned because of an infestation of giant rats, they get in there through the tunnel from the sewers and hurt some people in the past. And the the owner of that land is looking for someone to kill those rats and stop them from ever coming back. So all you need to do is kill those rats and maybe block the sewers or something and you’ll get your reward.” Says the merchant. After getting that information Akuma nod and hold his katana while start walking down the street when suddenly the merchant before start walking with him and say that he can take Akuma to that place. Akuma rejected him and say he preferred to be alone and continue to walk there. Akuma down that street while looking around, observes the area around that building at the end of this street. It takes a couple minutes for Akuma to finally arrive at that building. He can see that around the building, and the surrounding area never been clean. Looks like a wild grass all over the place and it’s pretty tall for a wild grass. That place was cover by so many wild plants, leaving only some part of the building uncovered.

Akuma start walks into that building and as he walk, the sun light that come through the small holes on the roof give him a stunning yet clear view of the inside of that building. Before can see it, he can hear some of the giant rats running around, sounds like they’re panic cause Akuma get in there. They then jump towards Akuma, trying to attack him, but Akuma easily give them some slashes and kill those giant rats. Akuma then start to wonder how they get in there, since he can’t see the the hole anywhere that big enough for them to get in this building, and there’s no way they get in from the door and close it again. Since Akuma have to find out their way in anyway, he decide to walks around that building and looking for possibilities. This is when other giant rats start to jump towards him and try to attack him again, this time Akuma make a move to first avoid those rats and then he dash toward them and slash them right when they land on the ground. As he walks around, he find a holes on the corner that looks big enough for those rats to walk through it, and that hole is deep enough explaining where those giant rat came from.

“Aaaa here it is, there must be some kind of their leader or king down there like sending them around to get some food or whatever” Says Akuma to himself in his head. He was right, that is the only way for those giant rats to get in this building, and the moment he think about it he sense some giant rats are come from that hole running towards him. Expecting them coming, Akuma move to the side of that hole instead of in front of it, and when those giant rats start coming out from the hole, he easily slice, slash, and stab them. After making sure that’s the source of the problem, Akuma start to walk into that hole looking for their leader or king, he believes it’s easier for him to kill them all once he kill the boss. It’s either kill the boss to kill them all, or kill the boss to send them back to the deep inside that hole and make sure they never come back, or the other possibility is that he kill the boss and the other giant rats will rush and start attacking Akuma because of their anger toward their leader dead.

Akuma have to walk pretty deep into that hole, and he can hear a soft sound of water, that means it’s true that this giant rats are coming from the sewers under this city. Noticing this fact, Akuma prepared to fight hundreds of giant rats since there might be that much giant rats all over the sewer system down there. Akuma walks around that hole and start to notice that there are some split ways in the tunnel means that the rats might have another tunnel that lead to the up ground, that means they might be somewhere else. Walking towards the main way of the tunnel, Akuma can start to sense some more giant rats in front of him, around twenty of them, even though they are not strong at all, but their numbers might be a trouble for Akuma. As he walk closer to that source, he start to notice the difference between those rats he sense before, he now notice and sure that on of them is bigger and that’s probably the leader of this giant rats. The difference between that one and the other rats are pretty big, that fact alone make him sure that the big one must be their leader.

As he get closer and closer, he can sense even more rats in front of him, might be hundred. This numbers could really be a trouble for him, so he decided to use his self-buff spell. Akuma cast 悪魔の強さ (Akuma no tsuyo-sa), and black flames shroud his sword and provide him a strength buff. This way, Akuma can easily cut through two giant rats, or might be three. This self buff is his superior type of magic since he is a berserker and after using this spell and combine with his strength and his katana, his attack will be equal to an A-rank attack means it’s double the normal B-rank attack. With this preparation, Akuma continue walking forward to the middle of that tunnel prepared to fight against hundred of giant rats. As when he arrived at that lair, he can see a lot of them right there in groups. Akuma was shock seeing that much of giant rats, and those rats right away start jumping and run towards Akuma, as he move by reflects he start slashing through those rats. Akuma is fighting with a chill move and choose to save energy by just making a necessary moves instead of rampaging against those rats.

This fight is pretty boring cause it’s only repetition of Akuma slash those rats and then another wave come to attack and end up the same like the previous wave. This fight seems impossible cause of the numbers of those rats, but they are not that strong and Akuma can easily defeat single one of them with one slice. Time by time those giant rats finally out of numbers and leaving the leader alone facing Akuma, then it was an easy fight for them, since that leader is bigger and that makes him naturally slower, that fact against Akuma’s strength can finish him in a few slash easily. Knowing that he killed the leader and most likely kill all the giant rats in that sewer, Akuma walk back to the surface. But before he start walking, he notice a lot of loots that was stolen are actually there behind that bigger rat. He took that loot with him and then just casually go to Worth Woodsea after finishing the request from the land owner and getting the all the rewards with him. This is not so bad since this is his first quest in Orchidia and he get this much jewels as the rewards.
