Asura Nightshade
Asura couldn't believe that she was stuck doing this.

A sigh left her lips as she looked across the Crocus Gardens. For a second, she was transported as she gazed at how beautiful the land really was: the emerald leaves that shook due to the light wind that grazed them, the chirps of birds flying overhead that came out on one of the good days where the sun shone on the fields of Crocus, the aroma in the air which lured everyone with hopes of peace and serenity. Certainly, what a wonderful day it was.

However, Asura wasn't here to admire the scenery as she snapped out of her daze and pursed her lips slightly. She was a little bit annoyed and baffled though her face remained as stone cold and passive as ever. The reason Asura had ventured to the Crocus Gardens, shortly after leaving the inn on the Crocus Streets was because she was assigned with another mission. This time, the mission was far easier than the previous one however, at the same time, made her wonder why this was even a mission.

About an hour or so ago, she had met up with Armin Bartholomew, a seated among his fellow fleet and definitely not an unheard name. He was from the Bartholomew bloodline, a rather prestigious family whose head was a very well-known and acknowledged knight whom had passed away quite some time ago. Armin was his son and tales of Armin's escapades had flourished within the city; of how he helped anyone he could regardless of what their situation might be. In Asura's eyes, that was a very admirable thing to do. So, when she received a request that he was in need of some assistance, she was definitely very eager to know what it would be.

But, she definitely didn't expect this.

"I am so sorry, I know this sounds very stupid," Armin had said, "But can you please help me find my sword?" Asura had looked at him blankly, though, in her head, she was all forms of confused. Find his sword, what?

"Could you please elaborate?"

"Well, you see," Armin started, his fingers fidgeting with each other as he kept his gaze down, "I kinda might have lost my sword. And I don’t know where it is. And I'm really busy right now helping this old couple build their shop so I was wondering if you could, maybe go search for it in my stead? Please?" Asura merely blinked at him, definitely not expecting this. From what she had heard of his father, she expected Armin to follow his footsteps. That didn't really seem to be the case.

Holding back a sigh, Asura asked, "Do you remember where you could have left it?"

Armin's eyes lightened up as he looked at her and then flushed lightly, "Well, not really. But if it helps, I think I used it somewhere around Crocus Garden."

Asura really held herself back from tsking at him. Crocus Graden was a big place, how could he expect her to find it there? But, well, he is doing good deeds and helping the world become a better place so maybe she could do this for him, just once. She nodded and he beamed happily at her, thanking her continuously.

Asura Nightshade
Now, Asura stood in the middle of Crocus Garden, looking around to see if she could find it somewhere. She went from one corner to the other, searching bushes, under benches, on top of trees to see if she could find it anywhere. Who knew how long it had been but Asura had been to sweat and get tired from all this searching around.

She went and plopped down onto a bench, taking her handkerchief and wiping her sweat off with it. She allowed herself to sigh this time. It must have been a few hours, at least, and she had no luck up until now. Where could that darned sword have disappeared to? It's a sword, she should have been able to find it right now. Looking at her own sword, clung at her hip, her eye twitched lightly as she began to get aggravated.

Asura leaned back on the bench, crossing her arms in front of her chest and closing her eyes, trying to concentrate on where the sword could be. A few minutes passed by and Asura only opened her eyes when she heard panting coming from somewhere close to her. Looking around to find the source, she spotted a dog not too far away from her. Immediately, her face lightly scrunched up. Why, out of all things, was a dog here? Those things were absolutely atrocious and Asura did not want to be anywhere near it.

She got up to leave and as she was about to turn away, a gleam in the corner of her eye caught her attention. Swiftly, turning her head to the direction of the dog, she saw what she had been looking for. You have got to be fucking kidding me.

The sword was right there. In the dog's mouth.

Asura doesn't show a lot of emotions but she let out the biggest groan she could. "Well, there's no helping it." She muttered to herself as she began to walk towards the dog. It's okay, it'll be fine, she thought in her head. She would just go to the dog, try to get him to let the sword go out of its mouth and take it and leave.

But, things really didn’t seem to want to work in her favour as the dog noticed her incoming approach and quickly, started scampering away. "No, wait!" Asura shouted as she began running after the dog.

Damn, he's fast,
she thought as she panted while running after the dog. Stares headed their way as people wondered why there was a crazy woman chasing after a dog with a sword in its mouth. Heck, if Asura saw that, she'd probably think that too. She kept running after the dog, trying to match its pace as it kept running ahead of her.

At this rate, she'd never catch up to the dog. She needed to figure out a way to catch up and quick. As she looked around, Asura spotted an alley not too far away from where the dog was. If she could somehow get the dog to the alley, then she could trap it and get the sword but the question was, how was she going to get the damned dog into the alley?

Asura Nightshade
As she kept chasing after it, an idea suddenly occurred in her head. She glanced at the sword that was tied to her hip and looked back at the dog, trying to estimate the distance between. Just a little bit more, she thought as Asura tried to increase her speed to catch up to the dog. When the distance between them was just right, Asura unsheathed her sword just as the dog was about to reach the alley. Praying to whatever God that existed, she hoped that this would work. Bending her arm with the sword backwards, she threw her sword towards the dog with as much accuracy as she could, praying that this worked.

The sword flew towards the dog and landed right in front of the dog, stabbing itself into the ground. The sudden action took the dog by surprise and it stopped and ran into the alley that was right beside it, though a few steps backwards from the dog. So, maybe the shot wasn't that accurate but at least it worked as the dog ran inside the alley.

Asura reached the alley, panting and looked inside to find the dog looking around, confused at the wall standing before it and turned around only to find the blonde there as she looked at him, with a light glare in his eyes.

"Alright, you."
Asura said as she straightened up and looked at the dog, "Give me that right now." She pointed at the sword in the dog's mouth and the dog just titled its head, confused. Asura tried to not let it anger her. The fact that it was a dog didn't make things any better. The two of them stood in front of each other, with Asura glaring at the dog and daring it to move.

This went on for a few minutes until the dog suddenly bent down and let the sword fall from its mouth before sauntering past Asura without a glance back. Asura stood there, blinking her eyes, as she looked back at the dog waggling its tail and walking past without a care in the world. What in the world? She looked back at the sword, coated in the dog's spit and lightly grimaced as she picked it up with her handkerchief. The dog's behaviour was weird but at least, she got the sword. She shrugged and started making her way to Armin, after picking and seething her own sword.

When Armin saw her heading his way with a sword in his hand, he lightened up and excused himself from the old couple whom he was helping to run towards Asura. She gave the sword back to him, which still had a bit of the dog's drool but he didn't seem to care as he hugged his sword and continuously thanked Asura for her help. Armin gave her the reward he promised and sauntered back happily to the old couple showing them his sword with a gleeful smile on his face.

Asura could only sigh lightly as all the energy in her body was drained. Today was a long day, filled with hideous dogs and chases that she would have much rather not have done. And, as she walked away, Asura thought about how she could really use a hot bath right about now.
