WeaponEverything was dark. “Faster! We have to get her there soon!” the angry voice to her right suddenly made Eva realize she was being carried on someone’s back. Her legs dangled in front of someone’s hard chest, her hands were bound, tied uncomfortably behind her back, and her body was bent forward in a way that made her feel nauseous. “Are we headed to Magnolia?” Another voice but he was harshly shut down by the person carrying her for voicing their destination out loud. “Keep quiet! She might wake up anytime. Remember, if she regains her powers somehow, we will never get our objective done”.
Objective? What did they want with her? She vaguely remembered, through the stinging pain in her head, that she was hit by something hard while she was unaware walking through the strangely abandoned streets of Hargeon. There was no trace of magic power or anything, neither did she sense anyone. When she had turned a corner down the road to an inn, it had happened as fast as lightning. Certainly planned beforehand after taking all of her powers and abilities in consideration. There was no way that anyone could simply drop in on her unless they knew exactly what they were doing. Eva wasn’t that simple and she knew it just as well as anyone that knew her through her work as a Rune Knight. Whoever that decided to attack her had planned to disempower her and to jump in when she was all alone. Besides, she was far too bummed out about several events and that had caused an opening in her usual armor.
“We must transport her there immediately. The drug won’t last too long”. And she zoned out unable to even think of resisting, influenced by a drug she was fed before being kidnapped.
