The amount of gangs in Era had decreased since the Rune Knights numbers began to increase. Rune Knights had a presence that could not be denied in Era and so Gangs tended to stay away these days. Still, there were certain gangs who refused to see the prominence of the Military organization as anything other than a nuisance. They seemed to be bold and unthreatened by the sheer amount of Knights that patrolled the streets. In the night they came out to do their worse. Killing each other, killing innocent bystanders and partaking in the trade of illegal substances and weapons. Yet, despite Alejandro's affiliation he didn't see this as more than people merely trying to survive. Lower classed people, working class people, struggled to find footing in this world. It made sense that people would turn to crime for a quick jewel or two. It wasn't Alejandro's way, but he could come to understand.

Tonight though, the Angel of Death would take with him a small squad to search for these gangs and take them out. Alejandro insisted that he go alone but his lackeys wanted to be in the field with him. There was a certain type of bond they all had with each other, one that even the commander cherished dearly. Still, sometimes he wondered if he was too soft on his comrades. Compared to the other departments the Secret Services members had more freedom per se. Sure Alejandro was their commander, that didn't mean they weren't hard-headed sometimes. Alas, it came with the territory. Alejandro was only eighteen years old and so sometimes the other members had a hard time accepting his verdict when it came to certain things. In the end they always fell in line. Despite Ale's young age, none under his command could come close to beating him.

The former elf readied himself, equipping both of his guns with the blink of an eye and pushing his fingers through his leather fingerless gloves. He threw his leather jacket on and lastly pulled up his black mask. They would be like the Ninjas of Joya; silent, quick, unforgiving. Most of them were still under the impression that their commander was against killing but as of late, Alejandro found it hard not to pull the trigger of his gun. Perhaps it was the effects of whatever dark Seraphim consumed him. Perhaps it was just the fact that he was a killer. Whatever it was, Alejandro knew that he no longer felt guilty for taking someone's life. He had to do it so often that it almost became second nature to him. Happy was having a hard time wrapping his head around it, but the exceed didn't understand the trauma that came with the job.

The two weren't as close these days anyway. While the Nephilim was at work, Happy went out to day whatever it was that he did. It was only at the end of the day that they saw each other. The two had once shared so many similarities but Alejandro was different now. What was crazier was that it had only been a month and a half since he had been a Rune Knight. So much had happened in so little time. It was always something that Alejandro pondered on. Even now as he made his way with his squad to the base of this gang, he couldn't help but to think about it. The group of five leapt from building to building, all of them equipped with items. It didn't take them long to appear at their destination. The Savannan leapt down from the building and swiftly moved to the silver door. Two more were position beside him and three were on the other side of the door.

With a nod, Alejandro shifted his body and kicked open the door. His gun was in his hand aimed at the first person he saw. Of course his squadron followed suit with their guns drawn. The first floor was empty and so they silently moved to the stairwell. The commander motioned with his hands for the other three to take the other staircase to the second floor and they'd meet up. Alejandro and his two companions slowly walked up the stairs until they approached another door. With a nod, just like before, he kicked open the door and there he saw a gang of about twenty men mixing substances. They had an entire laboratory dedicated to it. There was something even stranger though...all of them seemed to be sporting top of the line prosthetics. Robotic arms, eye implants. Alejandro had never seen anything like it. Had to be some black market shit.

"Hands where I can see em. Nobody move an inch." Alejandro said coldly. His eyes danced around the room for a brief moment to make sure that everyone had followed his instructions. Every single one of them put their hands up. "What the fuck is all this? Some sort of drug operating ring?" The Nephilim asked. His comrades held their guns in place. The other group finally made their way to the party and mimicked what the rest of them were doing. "I ain't telling you shit, pig." Quickly Alejandro pulled his mask down and stepped towards the buff red-head who thought he was in any position to act tough. The Nephilim didn't say anything, instead he glared into the mans eyes. "Oh, wait, I know you. You're the Knight with the mother who was-" the man couldn't even get another word out. Alejandro picked up his gun and planted it to the mans temple. "Say another word, go on. I dare you." The Knight said coldly. "I ain't, scared of you!"

"So then continue." Alejandro said. There was an obvious look of rage in his eyes but his demeanor didn't reflect it. The man clenched his jaws. Brave and dumb. "Fuck you and you're whore mo-" and then it was over. Ale pressed the trigger and a magical bullet flew straight through his brain, causing his brains to splatter on a shivering guy a few feet beside him. The commander's squad was in shock. They hadn't expected Alejandro to actually kill the man considering how adamant he once was on trying to not murder anyone. "Does anyone else have anything to say about my whore of a mother?" The former elf's voice was so cold that it could send shivers down the back of an Ice mage. The rest of the gang shook their heads in fear. Nobody else said a word. "Good." Alejandro sighed before making his way out of the room. "Arrest them and send word to Intelligence. They're gonna wanna know about these substances. Bring these people to Esperia personally and speak only about the details of this case to her. Obviously we're dealing with more than drugs." He said as he left the room. "Fucking high-tech prosthetics?"
