Description: An armor made from the bones of demons.

Lore: The Priests of Ilthurin, otherwise referred to as Ilthurians, were an order of necromancers that based themselves in what is now known as Caelum. Ilthurin, one of the most clever Dark Elves from the old ages, had mastered the art of necromancy there while isolating himself from the world. Although the minions of the Abyss had long possessed this power, among mortals the knowledge to reanimate and control the dead did not yet exist.

It is not clear what happened to Ilthurin for he disappeared from history, however, when mages found his teachings many centuries later, they moved to the original site where Ilthurin had first studied the magic. There, they created a vast underground city located deep in the woods, secluded from the world.

The isolation allowed them to pursue the distinct kind of magic that Ilthurin had once mastered completely. Through years of research and physical experimentation, these men and women had come to understand and hold sacred the delicate balance of life and death and were able to twist the line that bordered the two.

The priesthood resented any force that would treat humanity as part of a cosmic game. They are willing to ally with the forces of order, but only to the point of restoring the balance. The long-term goal was to rid Earthland of all non-mortal intervention

The priests then displayed bones in their armor as symbols of their mastery over death. Newly anointed priests dressed in basic clothes; dark clothing that protected as much as thin vellum and light weaponry—whatever they could scrounge from defeated enemies. Adroit necromancers faced more dangerous foes, and thus exercised more care in protecting exposed areas of their bodies with resistant shoulderpads, leather tunics, and shinguards. The most elite were frightful visages of calcified bone and marrow, covered head to toe in thick armor that was resistant even to the most terrifying demons.
