Jan Ren
--"This is just a training battle." Of course it was. But the Sinese really just wanted to make sure.

Invited to the Windmill, just by the farmlands. Outside, standing barefoot on the grass, was Jan Ren. Adjusting his belt properly as he prepared himself mentally for what was to come. He hadn't fought much before, but have sustained some pain. Never before was it against an opponent perceived to be as strong and capable as, this guy.

"We both know you're far stronger than me, so don't brag later!!" And there it was. The defeatist mindset.

Honestly, the Sinese wasn't that unsure of himself all the time; but when it came to Raymus, he was absolutely confident in the gap between their skills. Mere mannerisms spoke of that; Jan Ren was raised in a culture and order-friendly environment, and Ray... Well, he didn't know what kind of environment his childhood included, but he certainly took a rougher side to grow up into. And in the end of the day, that was worrying.

Regardless, he'd agreed to help him out. It would make for good experience for him as well, fighting someone stronger and more capable than he was. A thought crossed his mind; he'd be flattered to be the werewolf's training partner, simply because said werewolf viewed him as worthy. For, some reason. If he was going to rise through the ranks of Blue Pegasus, he needed to get stronger, and as such, Jan Ren was turned to. Honestly speaking though, this somehow pertained to said Sinese as well.

Standing a good distance away from his friend, he finally assumed position; legs apart, bent slightly as he tried to find the perfect balance to react and predict this (obviously) aggressive wolf. Right hand clenched in a fist, raised up to protect his face; the other fully open, remaining by his side. "Okay... Whenever you're ready!!"

..."(Please, PLEASE, let's get this over with quickly!!)"

Raymus Kouris
Having figured out the when and where of their little fight the previous day, the two Blue Pegasus mage's were practically all set. It was Raymus who suggested to fight around the windmill, in no small part due to him being fascinated by the contraption. Seriously he could watch that thing all day! Another reason although not nearly as pressing as the one mentioned, was that the amount of people around was far fewer than in town. Naturally enough one would want to have a spar away from a crowded area, but in the case of Raymus and Jan, well let's say since the Werewolf arrived the two were seen as, quizzical. Yeah sure let's go with that.

Although matters like these wouldnt linger in Ray's mind. No when it came to fighting or indeed using his natural animalostic instincts he was far more level headed and clear minded with only hos objective in view.

Some may say that this side of him gave the young man an air of toughness, almost effortlessly appearing tough and strong. It would seem Jan thought. But Raymus could see otherwise. Sure, when they first met the werewolf was leaps and bounds ahead of his fellow rookie. While Jan could only muster the basics Raymus could maul through whatever he needed. However in the passing months his opponent had grown a significant ammount and Ray could see this.

In terms of physical strength and attributes the two were practically equal. But in Jan Ren's case he could use magiv, and rather well while Raymus was rather inept still. Weather it would be the deciding factor was debatable but this was most definetly a point in Sinese's favour, giving him the edge over Raymus. But for now he seemed ignorant to that and the battle worn wolf could pick up on that.

"So you done talking?" He asked in a cocky Jeer as he was asked if he was ready. "Quick heads up, don't expeft me to go feral. I'll save that for when I actually kill you." It was a simple taunt and a playful one at that, layered in pretenses that would make it seem lkke3he was holding back to spare his friend's life when in fact it was never in danger. Could Raymus even fully transform Jan would be totally safe, since Raymus wasn't that strong sadly. Still, hopefully his words would start some psychological warfar that wouod scew the odds in his own favor.

But who cares about words when actiond spoke so much louder?

Jan got into his stance which was a typical one most used for flexibility. One that would require the other person to act less they already begin with a stalemate. Wven though he didn't posses the ability fear seemed to play a role in this fight so Ray would play into it. Keeping relatively low down, just enough so he could look intimidating while also keeping a decent stance of flexibility, the Sevenise would circle his opponent, keeping about a 7 meter distance between the two. It was perfect lunging distance and Raymus was well aware all the while keeping a brisk pace to keep Jan on his toes.

Now if Jan moved to follow Raymus , the werewolf would do his best to time his lunge while Jan was in the middle of his turn. Once he did the distance would be closed within a second, but Raymus wouldn't let a single one go.to.waste. with his open palm he would attempt to strike Jan on his shoulder, specially among the collarbone, with whatever hand was nearest to whatever shoulder of Jan's that was closest. The strike would be a slightly upwards one given Ray tried to keep his body low as he intially skulked around. Whether this worked or not his next move would be a retreat, where he'd do a small hop backwards before trying to run backwards as best he could. Should the attack land it would do some nice damage, although Jan could tolerate the pain. If anything else would occur, Ray would of course react to it as best he could.

Jan Ren
The usual cockiness dragged with it a befitting rolling of the eyes, slightly disturbed as the Sinese tried hard not to take it seriously. This was the usual way with Raymus, he'd have to get accustomed to it at some point. "Yeah, yeah..." He dismissively replied; "As you say, sir." Truth be told, he did play along, but the thought lingered in his mind. The werewolf could go feral if he wanted to, he just wouldn't. Suggesting ultimately that the difference in power was, as expected, quite vast. And naturally, having come from this belief set in the first place, Jan Ren had bought into this charade, his morale just slightly damaged before the fight even started.

Psychological warfare? He was already hinged towards a loss.

It was time to get focused on the battle, much as he hated to get to that point. Studying the blue-haired's positioning and stance, and still lingering under the aforementioned mindset, Jan Ren viewed himself as outclassed. The werewolf was battle-hardened for sure, and he himself, has barely every fought anyone before. In the first place, their current state seemed like it was headed towards hand-to-hand, rather than a full-on battle between wizards, which would put the Sinese at a disadvantage; he was used to using his magic to solve violent conflicts, even if it didn't always net him the result he sought.

Eyes kept closely watching the other, the young man didn't move as he traced the wolf's movements. Encircling him, but still keeping fair distance. Seems both of them assumed the same, reactory position for a start. This only further enhanced the Sinese' anxiety, knowing it was up to him to make the first move, if they were going to get anywhere. But that meant... Certain pain. And that was what he had wanted to avoid the most. But... Alas, such is how battles are structured.

Around 10 meters apart? ...Very well.

Moving as his leg muscles tensed up, knees bending down a bit as he angled to properly move, the Sinese was caught by surprise when all of the sudden, the other had already leapt forward, straight at him. "!?" Forced on the defensive, Jan Ren immediately moved to the right side, the werewolf's hand barely grazing over his collarbone left. That, alone, hurt!! He winced lightly, but with this, the distance between them had closed. Building his Magic Power in his arm and palm, the Sinese aimed to punch at the blue-haired with his free left, but ultimately backed down; watching how his opponent made a quick flip back, once again covering distance.

Hit and run. Stay safe, but strike fiercely. If that's the case, all he needed to do for a proper comeback was... Neutralize the distance. A blue magic circle would appear by his right fingertip as Jan Ren made the shape of a gun in his hand.

"Drop Shot: Qang!!"

Aligning his body to face Raymus perfectly, Jan Ren fired from his fingertip a small drop of water, jetting at high speed towards the werewolf's torso. This alone would be his current move, though used in some stress; as he could already feel his hurt pumping. Damn, that scared him... But there was no time to rest! Eyes kept wide-open, watching for the other's next antics; whatever they may be. He felt like the first strike made was putting him to a test, and in a way. His own prematurely-fired spell, acted as a test of his own. While if it landed it would definitely damage Raymus somewhat, it would also tell just what kind of effort either had to put in.

...What? Don't judge me. This is an Anime RP, attack names need to be stated. Otherwise it's just not cool.

Raymus Kouris
Well if the super cool anime shouting out his move wasnt a dead give away the motion of the spell was. Granted the shouting didn't make a difference and was a nice change of pace to most mages try harding the shit out of a fight. Still the spells motion was a dead giveaway that Jan was trying something so Raymus could prepare.

Even when he was running away after a minor successful hit, he kept a side eye on Jan to see what he was doing. If anything his opponent's action further proved that this was a good idea. From the get go Ray knee that facing someone with magic would put him at a disadvantage and this was one of those times. Even with seeing the spell coming, the werewolf was only starting his run so he wouldn't be able to out speed the bullet. Instead he'd need to just slightly change the dorection in whoch he was running. Since Jan was aiming for his torso dead and center at a moving target it was only inevitable that it wouldn't hit the exact mark. Still the small distance made it harder to totally dodge the attack and much like his own stirke, the water bullet also Grazed Raymus which cause a twinge of pain that barely lasted a second.

"Mother-" he said said under his breath as he continued to run around Jan once more, now at his speed. Wondering what else Jan could do, Raymus decided tk trhow caution to the wind and alter his direction again slightly as he circled Jan. Since he was moving so quick this slight alteration would be hard to pick up on. His aim was to change the angle at which he was approaching Jan, while still keeping the 10 meter gap between them.

At the right moment no more than 2 laps circling Jan Raymus would do some fancy footwork and do a small spin as he took another step forward towards Jan. Since his last attempt at an attack worked so well he'd try it again. No doubt the Sinise would be turing to keep up with Raymus again so once again Ray would be trying ti strike as he was turning. If that last spell was anything to go by none of his other spells would do any major damage that would hinder his limbs so this seemed safe. Then again that was the berserker in him talking. Speaking of Berserking, the attack! Now moving full running speed towards Jan, Raymus would attempt to 'Clothesline' his fried. With a single arm outstretched the werewolf moved swiftly without any intention of stopping and just ploughing through Jan. His arm was coming up to about Jan's collar bine once again but no longer was Ray so low down. His knees were still slightly bent but running full speed would make it harder for any sudden moves on his part. He was also planning on running rings around the water mage whether he hit or not since it had been working so far. Given the angle at which he was running towards Jan, his forearm would be the limb hitting Jan first and foremost and if it connected, given his speed would more than likely floor the mage. If it didnt hit then Taymus could keep his speed and momentum and try something else. Despite being a berserker Ray tried to keep a level head on him as he fought so being flexible was key. Even with his current move he was trying to acccount for all his opponent's skills so he wouldn't be caught off guard when he inevitably retaliated.

Right away, Raymus was once again on the move; he took quite the distance off that simple leap back, and that on itself allowed him to manage a proper dodge. Of course it did. As expected of someone as skillde as him, though it was also in thanks to the proper footing the werewolf took from the Sinese. Jan Ren didn't have too much experience fighting, but this much was common sense. And before the young man managed to formulate a proper battle plan, instincts obviously not being on his strong suit, he found himself quickly encircled by the other as Raymus sped up. If he let this go on, he would be at a great disadvantage whether he liked it or not. Let alone reaction time, he couldn't land a single hit if he couldn't aim properly.

Which meant, he too needed to get on the move. And if that was the case, it appears that the fight was going to get awfully up-close and physical. Something the Sinese had a distaste for, though wasn't entirely against, following recent events. He had to first of all, calm down. ...As if he could do that!! Breathing still uneven and heartbeat pounding in his chest from the near-hit only a moment ago, Jan Ren picked up speed on his own, trying to escape the werewolf's own maneuver; though he couldn't pick up to sprint fast enough, and wherever he would try to go, he found the blue-haired already there, rounding his despite the good distance. Regardless, he had to keep running. And so he chose to go in a single direction, though that too wasn't quite fast enough.

Soon, Jan Ren found Raymus' forearm heading straight for his face. "WOAH--" He barely managed to dodge that. Perhaps he was getting used to proper instinct anyway! Arching his back widely and craning his neck as he closed his eyes shut, unable to keep them open. Bending his knees down to hit the ground, Jan Ren's chin only barely got out of the attack's way as his legs continued forward; the young man flinched, though his knees skid agains the grass. That was close!! Judging from Raymus' power, if that hit, he'd definitely be floored and bleeding from his nose at least. Plus... It'd hurt like hell.

Though he had some leeway given to him. Despite the close distance, the two were going in opposite directions - simply from the attempted strike's direction. Meaning, Jan Ren could use this chance to gain some distance again and, hopefully, speed right up to proper pace. He raised himself immediately through bouncing on his knees, eyes opened the moment he realized the hit had missed. Back strained to flip back up, as the weight on his thighs was felt well. Beginning once again to pick up speed, hoping to gain at least some distance from the other.

Almost on cue, Jan Ren activated another magic circle over his hand as he turned around in a jump, carrying in the same opposing direction he went for. A full 180 was made, his long hair flowing with the momentum as the Sinese swung an arm at his friend.

"Water Slicer!!"

Shooing out with a wide swing, a single yet small sauzer of water, aimed at the werewolf's direction. He wasn't too far just yet, and as such figured it should at least invoke a move if not hit. It would buy him some time to pick up speed, while also not being quite far enough to dissipate. Hopefully, it'd work. Whether the spell hit or not, Jan Ren landed on the ground and turned around once more, turning his head however to keep an eye on Raymus as he dashed to further gain distance.

In all honesty Raymus wasn't expecting Jan to didge his attack but was pleasantly surprised as it happened. Whether the Sinise knew his game plan or was simlky acting on instinct was irrelevant as he managed to avoid the attack totally. It was pretty impressive no matter how you'd look at it and through gritted teeth and a small snarl, Raymus was going to show this little quick acting shit just how good his instincts were!

It was obvious to the werewolf that Jan needed to get low to the ground to dodge the attack and suddenly doing a running squat wouldn't be executed so well to just flat out avoid his clothesline. Which meant he'd be hitting the ground in some manner, even if if it was for just a second. But a second was all the werewolf needed. Spinning on his foot as soon as his attack missed, he lifted the other of the groud, hoping to catch Jan with a kick. The attack would probably end up near Jan's head if it hit doing some heavy damage and knocking him off his balance quite literally. Given how Jan dodged the attack he would have slid a bit forward, so the attack might not be the cleanest but Raymus was hoping that his delayed reaction would be enough to get the blow!

Sadly after the attack his momentum would be gone meaning he couldn't just break into running. Granted if his attack did hit the blow should knock out his opponent so he wasn't planning on moving.

If it didn't do what he wanted well then he'd be subjected to Jan's spell while the werewolf needed time to think of a new strategy now that he was on the one in the middle of a speeding mage.

Jan Ren
Jan Ren would be a lucky man not to take the full brunt of his opponent's hit should it have even landed. From that distance and the short delay both had undeniably experienced upon such sharp movements, instinct wasn't even a factor as much as physical strain played its part. He would be fortunate to avoid the kick entirely, not even aware that it happened behind him while he hastily picked himself off the ground. His hair would be the most hit from the werewolf's foot, if lady fate would shine upon him so.

Too bad that wasn't the case.

"--GUH...!!!"

His entire momentum into his hastened attempts halted in their tracks right there and then. The blue-haired was just quick enough on his feet, stretching his leg out to the right distance, to land a clean hit against the Sinese' head. Back of the head struck hard, the young man's body would be flung forward a few good meters; skidding over the ground as he nearly lost his consciousness from that impact alone. His sight was almost lost on him, a strong ringing tone booming in his ears. Though quick to pick himself up, perhaps by sheer instinct using his hands to spring back up, Jan Ren would realize his distance from Raymus wasn't too much; pushed away to the 15 meter mark, with hazy sight and--

An intensely paining back of the head. He could almost feel his face turning paler, struggling to breathe properly as the blood rushed to his back. Thankfully, it wasn't vital; as Raymus definitely packed a serious punch to his moves, and being so recklessly struck in that area could very well spell DEATH if he wasn't careful. "(Ungh...)" He found it difficult formulating coherent thought, struck that hard. From just a single kick?? They really were, in the end, Leagues apart.

How depressing.

However, with this distance and the revelation literally hitting him hard, the Sinese understood how severe a true battle between men was. He could feel his limbs turning numb, but could still move. In the distance of 15 meters away, he could still fight if allowed. And surely... Raymus would come up again. That, would be when he will act. As Jan Ren's faded gaze stared to his friend, his eyes squinted some as he built up his magic power again.

Fine.
Two can play this game.

Boom! The attack hit! Not as cleanly as he would have liked but nevertheless the blow landed. It seemed to do quite a number on Jan yet he still stood. That was impressive on its own. Normally a blow to the head from the werewolf would send any regular person to dreamland. This just goes to show how much stronger his friend became in such a short amount of time. It was truly something.

But even a novice could see theat Jan was badly hurt from the hit. The colur was drained from his face and he he didn't look steady on his feet at all. Now was the time to capitalize on this. Breaking off into a run once more the werewolf was ready to put down is prey. It would take him a about 2 seconds to close the gap with his speed, maybe a bit linger but that would only be with a run. His irises slit, the man's ruby red eyes could clearlysee that his oppoent was going to try something.

The meters would be closed relatively quick, makingthe lunging distance optimal once more. When there was any inclination of a magic seal, Bam! That's when Raymus would strike and attempt a similar put down to what he wanted to do before but was simply too tired to preform. That being, with the lunge, Raymus would tackle Jan to the ground and try to restrain him, probanly throwing some hits in for good measure too. A simple restraint could work wonders in a fight and in one like this it was probably better than just wailling on someone until they were knocked out.

The werewolf was quietly confident that he could just run through any spells thrown at him, and just hammer Jan down once and for all. Evenif Jan wasn't going to cast a spell the plan would remain the same. Ray was looking to finish this fight now. Any longer and the amount of spells thrown at him would rack up too quickly and he'd lose.

Jan Ren
Jan Ren was certain he would manage to find a way to tip the scales on this round, what with his strength lying not in raw power but tactics. Against an overly physical opponent like Raymus, it may have had to be used more decisively, a trait the Sinese had unfortunately lacked significantly. If he hadn't, he'd have managed to land at least a single hit by now, or at least. Not get smacked in the head so badly that his vision had started failing him. His ears ringing, the young man watched as the blue-haired werewolf took the leap forward to close the distance between them. He'd use this chance to--...

...Wait, what?? He was already there!!?

Freaked out, the young man flinched in place, unable to move his arms fast enough to cast the sufficient spell he had in mind; being thrown off-guard, literally, tackled to the floor with his opponent now saddling over his stomach, in full control. He'd be lucky to have his arms still out and ready to react to whatever the werewolf had to throw at him, though with his head already hurting badly (and smacked against the ground, despite the grassy terrain cushioning the hit somewhat), he started fearing once more. He absolutely hated pain. And taking another one of those, seemingly to his face, would be terrible. He wanted to stop. He wanted to get this done with.

"S-Stop!!"

He yelled out abruptly, spells still built well in his hands as he prepared to counterattack, just in case. He couldn't trust Raymus to hear him out, especially not in the adrenaline of the fight, and not with the recent hit he'd landed. In fact, if he was of properly sound mind, Jan Ren would have elaborated his thought into how with the advantage gained, the blue-haired would hate being left hanging all of a sudden. Despite that, his reflexes were at least active enough to keep him safe. Should the werewolf had attempted to hit him while he's down, the Sinese wouldn't have hesitated to shoot the other's hands with his own prepared spell.

Hopefully it wouldn't get to that.

"You win this round... I'm already downed..." He consented, fighting through the pain to voice himself out, groaning in his voice. "I lose, okay...?" It was, just training after all.

Once allowed to sit up properly, the Sinese would rub at the paining back of his head lightly, hoping it wouldn't affect him badly in the long run. ...Though the earlier keyword granted was, this round. And he followed through on that.

"Let's rest a bit. ... ...I won't lose on Round 2." He assured, sneering some in pain. Wow, where did this competitive spirit come from?

This was, just a training session. If one got hurt badly, it won't benefit either of them. However, repetitiveness was the key for mastery. And a single bout wasn't going to cut it. As such.... Come some rest, the two will go again.

Raymus Kouris
As it turned out, Jan was far too dazed to fully comprehend what was happening in the fight. To the point where Raymus was practically in front of his nose before he reacted. And what was the reaction? A flinch! Still it was only natural and Raymus couldn't really blame the lad for it. Anyone who took a hit to the head was bound to still be a bit off balance. It would be a challenge to get your own mind straight, let alone try and read someone elses.

Which was Raymus was trying to do. It was a little late but he too realized that Jan was dazed as he lunged. The werewolf was waiting to see what body oarts the Sinise moved so he could restrain the water mage accordingly however that never came to be. No, instead once he was brought to the ground, Jan forfeited before Raymus could smash his face in. Jokes aside, Raymus let go of Jan's wrists which he had held onto in the hopes of keeping him restrained so no more spells could be fired his way. Letting out an involuntary whimper of disappointment Raymus let him go and grumbled under his breath.

"Yeah yeah whatever. Maybe next time we fight Ill have some spells of my own to throw at you." He sneered back, slappong Jan on the back once he got back up. A hearty brawl was what the werewolf was really looking for but a nice spar went just as well. "Next time I'll beat you so bad you'll be in the hospital.... Hey don't look at me like that! I'd be doing you a favour! How? Because that's where all the nurses and healers are like your special friend." And with that final thought the two Blue Pegasus mages left.
