Bianca Fleur †
Joan sat at the table in her inn room, staring at the blank piece of paper as she held a pen in one hand, wondering how she was going to write this letter. She knew who she was going to send it to – Bodak. She did not want to let the others from the guild know of this, especially because she did not want them to think of her as a traitor. She was not betraying Phantom Lord, but she knew that this was the right choice for now. If the pureblood knew that she had ties to anyone or any organization, it meant that she could use that to her advantage in the case that something went wrong with Joan’s operation.

As she thought about these things, she began to write what she thought was most appropriate. Bodak would understand. After taking up the responsibility of being a guildmaster, it took a lot in her to make this decision. She knew Jeremiah would be pissed, so would Shura, but she hoped that they would come to understand why she had to do this as well. After a few minutes, the letter was ready, and so she waited for the ink to dry and sent it with a courier.

After she sent the letter with a courier, the vampyress made a lot of coffee and sat down on the chair in front of the window, a solemn look on her face as she stared out of the window. The sun was setting as the day was coming to an end. She was more worried about this than she should be, but she knew she made the right choice the moment she put pen to paper. It was one of the steps she needed to get done before she attempted to contact her pureblood friend. It was a lot of sacrifice, but she was willing to give up everything for this. Which was exactly what the pureblood was going to be disappointed about. This was how weak Joan had become.

She took a sip from the coffee and sighed deeply, placing the mug on the hand rest of the chair and letting the feelings sink in. As pathetic as it was she felt like crying. She knew that she would be there for Phantom Lord whenever she needed to be. She would keep contact with her guildmates and always check up on it. Hopefully, Jeremiah and the others were not going to come for her head. She did not want to die before getting a chance to solve the mystery with the dark wizard at the hospital while she was in a coma. This was what her life was all about now, and she hoped and prayed that Adelaide would agree to help her with it, and that all of this sacrifice would not be for nothing.

Joan picked up the mug from the hand rest and held it with both hands, bringing it to her lips to drink from it as she stared blankly at the setting sun.
