Walking across the smooth street Savannah looked at the old-styled buildings of various pastel colors looking for the Mad Drug Shop. Her plain black open toed flip flops clacked against the ground as she walked and her rusty brown knee-length jacket flipping behind in the slight sunny breeze. Why is she walking on a day where the sun is so bright that being outside it seems like the sun is trying to burn her retinas? Well recently she hear of a mission where she has to help Khalash Saton – the owner of Mad Drug Shop - test out his latest shield for the Magic Council, both as a test subject and as someone to test out its durability, not to get drugs.

Savannah asked around about the shop, each direction more confusing, although she’s not sure if it’s the people giving her directions or her shity sense of direction. Soon she came across a building two stories tall made of aging brick. The first floor was a basic square building while the second was a dome like shape with a window in the middle and a wood top. Under the wooden beam surrounding the first floor was a curved sign bearing the name of the shop in light yellow with a dark red background surrounded by a violet border, directly underneath was a red door with a blue border and a kite-shaped window.

Savannah glanced at the opposing pillars with a glowing pink heart to her left and a glowing gold skull to her right.  Savannah opened the door and inside was a basic small room with a wooden floor and a circular rug covering most of it. On the maroon walls were various items, to the left a table with multiple jars filled with various liquids on top of it and to the right a wooden chest with gold boarders next to a book shelf with various books. In the center of the room, a single red chair is place facing an old desk which is topped by multiple books, a mortar and pestle, and a lamp.

The old man who sat at the desk looked up at her inquisitively. Approaching the desk Savannah chewed her lip without opening her mouth before speaking, “Sorry for not knocking, but I came here for your proposal for an assistant?” As she said this she held up a sheet with the details on it after which the old man she assumed to be Khalash Saton lit up. “Ah yes yes! Thank you so much, er follow me! Hmm hm hmm.” Jumping up Khalash shook her hand and led her away all awhile humming.

Following Khalash to the back of the shop she noticed odd knickknacks here and there, the same maroon walls followed along the walls leading to a red-wood door, like an abyss. Once inside she notices that it was a rather empty white room and to her right is a wide window. And to the right of the door was another door that Khalash pulled out a shield from. The shield was a simple rectangle shield that was 6ft tall and 4ft wide, it was made of a milky white blue with sea-blue edges and in the canter the symbol for the Magic Council.

Khalash handed her the shield and pointed to the other-side of the room. He scratched at his fluffy and rather pointy white beard in a grandfatherly way while he explained; “Now the Magic Council approached me some days ago about creating a magic resistant shield and weapon resistant shield and thus this!” At the end he threw up his hand in excitement. Savannah peeked at the shield closer and noticed small invisible lines and symbols that gleamed in the light with a sparkle of various colors.

“Now I want you to hold up the shield while I cast a simple, but strong spell at you, alright?” Savannah nodded having no problem as she knew this was what might happen. She held up the shield in front of her while holding a defensive position. Khalash in return pushed up the sleeves of his midnight shirt and pushing his mantle aside. He slid gently into a standard magic position with the ease of a man who has done many spells in his life. Clutching his hands together and bringing them behind to his right the right foot following behind.

Khalash knees slightly bended and his hat tilted before his gleaming eyes. Suddenly he snapped his hands forward and a 5 diameter fireball shot out at Savannah. She clutched at the shield while her eyebrows lowered and gained a slight frown. The fireball hit true at her and she felt both the force of the blast against the shield and the effect fire-based magic has on her.

Standing up Khalash whipped his hands together with a big smile on his face; “Jolly good!” He exclaimed while Savannah hunched over slightly with an ‘oh-my-god’ deadpan expression, sweat drop on the side of her left eye and everything. She gave a slight glare before sighing, straitening as much as she could. “Alright,” she inquired, “What next?”

Khalash ran up to her and asked for the shield, once she gave the shield he pointed to the spot where he once stood. “Now it’s your turn! Go over there and fire you strongest at me! Er, the shield. You know what I mean, excuse me I’m so excited!” Savannah just rolled her eyes and walked to where Khalash once stood.

“Now don’t be nervous!” He called over to her; Savannah took deep breaths before beginning her spell. Her stance was nothing special as she just stood in place, but then Savannah clutches one hand as though she was holding something and smashes the flat side against her other hand while holding and intense look in her eyes. “Oooh.” Khalash said as she preformed her spell and the quickly holding the shield in place. Pulling her clutched hand a pole, 5in in diameter, starts to form.

The pole extended to 3ft then with a twist of her wrist around the end the head formed. It was a 2x1x1ft rectangle and had a flat plate-like shape in the middle, parallel to the pole. She held the hammer of ice to her side before pulling it behind her and ran at the man. And with a loud clang her hammer smashed with the force of a 10 men into the shield.

Both the Ice Hammer and shield held as everything slowed down around them. Time sped up and with a beautiful leap Savannah jumped back holding a somewhat haughty stance. Her legs stood calf to calf, her shoulders were back, and her head held high. And the Ice hemmer slowly disappearing in small, sparkling shards around her accentuating her beauty.

Khalash had his mouth wide open before it broke out into a mighty grin. Running up to Savannah he thanked her profusely and took her back up to the front before handing her the money. “Thank you, yes, thank you very much. Eh-you may go now. So much to do, so much.”  Khalash muttered the last sentence as he retreated into the back.

Shrugging savannah pocketed the money into one of her pouches and walked out of the store. She looked up to the sky happy that the sun was finally setting. Continuing on she walked to the Fairy Tail guild.
