This gray morning, the clouds low in the air, covering the streets in a fog that made it seem like a sad day. It would make the old Phoebe said but the determined feeling that this Phoebe had right now made it that she didn’t care much. She had no time to be worried about it as all she could think about was what she needed to do know. She had no idea where her previous job partners were and since was dropped and dumped as potential girlfriend and friend for more than four times, it was enough to sit and mope about being lonely if she could go and do things herself. So this Phoebe got out of bed and fixed her long black hair into a ponytail, found a trainings pair of trousers, put on a t-shirt, her running shoes and headed out of the inn that she was staying at since her arrival in Crocus. Officially Victor had stayed here as well but she had not seen him anymore, so either he moved or he had put in effort to make sure he would miss her daily getting out and back into her room. Wonderful if guys were willing to go that far for either option. Her sarcastic intention sure were there but she was furious about the whole ordeal as well. She felt used, again and again and even though she had only one to blame for leaving behind the one she was in love with, or so she convinced herself, she felt horrible lonely. Lately that feeling had subdued thanks to Persephone her coaching and teachings and having done other things, being very focused on what she could do.

With that, she decided to pick up and work on magic. What she had not done in years, she had gotten a little training from Persephone before but that had not given her great abilities and thus she would have to try and get better, which is why yesterday she had gone to Domus Flau. It sure had given her a few muscles pain that she had never had before but that didn’t stop her from going for her morning run on this foggy morning. It made it a bit difficult as sometimes random people showed up thanks to the fog but she wasn’t going to sit and wait for it to be gone. She was also going to find a job in this morning and that would make her life a bit easier. Putting it back on the tracks that she wanted and she had to start with her condition, her figure, beauty and also on top of the list her ability of magic. Her mother wouldn’t be able to teach her fire magic again and she was glad to know that she was different from her Silense half siblings as well as her sister Mary. She was just Phoebe, with a surname that was being able to be used at some point again but not now.

She would have gone for her run for about forty-five minutes and she definitely wasn’t satisfied, it had taken a little longer than she wanted and it was probably mostly because of the fog but she didn’t want to blame it on something like that if she could just have gone and find a better spot to run with less fog and be quicker. If she didn’t get better than how would it work for the rest and she simply sighed as she entered the inn again. Looking at the customers and at Batra that seemed to have a problem, ”Need any help?” she asked and Batra shortly spoke to her that he could have some help in the kitchen. She told him she would quickly fresh up and be here as soon as possible. So she headed upstairs and washed her face and upper body shortly, to clean herself from the sweat and roll up her long hair in a bun.

She dressed in easy fitting clothes and went downstairs again as soon as possible. It seemed that the bar owner was glad to see her again. He handed her an apron and quickly gave her the access to the kitchen. It had been a long time that she cooked food, she normally bought it now since living in an inn and hotels didn’t always give her, her own kitchen. But she was sure that a couple of those hotdogs, tenders and burgers couldn’t be difficult as she had been cooking quite much as a child for her father and sister. So she would just focus on the information somewhere stored in the back of her mind. But it wasn’t that difficult, the hot potato might have been the most difficult thing and after the adventure with five hotdogs, that needed to be ready at the same time, she couldn’t see any hotdog anymore and she wondered about Regis, almost burning one of the hamburgers. But almost wasn’t too bad. The French fries also had proven a new challenge but one that was actually fun. She should try that one other time if she would be able to get home soon and pick up the cooking for her family again. She should perhaps invite Silver along in that case.

It felt like she had stood in the kitchen for hours and that was true when she finally got out and it proven to be midnight. Where had the time been? She yawned and felt that she smelt like the smell of baking hamburgers and fries.. which made a lot of sense. The inn was just closed and Batra handed her some jewels from the cash register as a thank you for her help and she was rather satisfied that she had done something. Perhaps not something very interesting such as hitting a mutated rat but well it might be more effective than walking around to find a sword and chase a dog. She shook her head and headed upstairs to finally shower.
