Christian sighed, the wind really getting to him. After all, they were blowing at such high speeds that the otherwise warm day would start to become very cold, especially for the elf who had dressed as if it would be a sunny one out. Resting his hand on his chin out of habit while he thought, Christian shrugged and decided that he wouldn't go back and get his jacket. It wasn't THAT cold out, and he doubt it could get much worse than this for the remainder of the day anyways. So for now he simply went on his merry way down the streets of Crocus.

Today, Christian was on the lookout for money. Should he want to start up his own eatery and get into the business, the first thing he would need would be some moola. After all, he'd need to pay for a building, as well as hire people, buy ingredients.. and that was just the start of it. Since Christian figured himself to not be much of a mage right now, he couldn't do any of the high paying jobs like slaying monsters or something, but he was going to make extra sure to try and find something that anyone could do. Of course, he would prefer something related to cooking, as obviously that was not only his forte but also his passion and hobby, meaning that working as a cook for a while would be a lot more enjoyable to Christian than simply lifting up some boxes and whatnot.

So, Christian searched the town to see if there were any flyers. Since he didn't like talking, he couldn't ask around for work, so he figured that he'd just use his eyes instead of his mouth. After a little while he would come across an ad for a place that needed someone to flip burgers, a pub. Their cook was away, so they needed someone to help with the food for a while. Perfect. Not to mention, Christian thought that his burgers were pretty good anyways, so he was confident he could do well on this job and get a little bit of pay for the work he did. Nodding to himself silently, he would unpin the paper from the post it was on and walk through Crocus to find the street, which he was a bit familiar with anyways having one of his favorite cafes and all that.

Thus, Christian found his way to the pub that he was looking for. It seemed like a somewhat popular place, so he would have to try his best with the orders here to make sure that he got all of them right for the customers and more importantly in time for their liking. Nervous for a second, Christian brushed away his fear and got into the pub, trying to find where the owner was so her could request a spot as the cook of the place for the day. After a little bit of looking, Christian finally found what seemed to be either the owner or the manager. Knowing he'd have to say something to this figure of speaking, Christian prepared himself to speak . Approaching the man, he looked back, a confused look on the manager's face. "I'd like to help cook." Christian spoke quietly, as the man nodded. "Perfect, just come to the kitchen and you can show us how you do."

Christian nodded, following the man to the kitchen as the smell could quickly come in. This was where he felt at home, in a kitchen. Already Christian felt his anxiety fade away in seconds.

Christian started his cooking routine. First of course he'd wash his hands, you had to be sanitary after all. That was the first duty as a chef, not to get your customers sick or anything. Next up he'd start up all the equipment in the kitchen, before signaling the manager that everything was ready so they could start taking orders. First up was a burger, which Christian made with a good blend of sauces. He found that some burgers put too much ketchup and not enough mustard or vice versa, so Christian made sure to create an equal balance between the two of those ingredients. Next up was a hot dog with onions, and Christian made sure to make those onions the absolute best he could. After all, if someone wanted fried onions on their hot dog, chances are they really wanted GOOD fried onions on their hotdog. After a few more orders, including a plate of ribs, hot wings and much much more, the pub manager was so pleased with Christian's performance that they gave him his pay for the day and sent him back home. Christian felt good about himself afterwards, knowing that he could cook up really good food for all of the people at the pub.
