Tristan
Tristan had a task that would decide so much of what would go on in the world today. He had to make sure that the future of many hungry citizens in Crocus had to be secured, as he was the turning point in their lives. This day would decide if they lived, or if they died, and if their children did as well. Well, not really, actually.

But hey, today Tristan WOULD be flipping some burgers for some guy that quite because of some reason or another, Tristan didn't know the whole story or anything like that. Mainly because he didn't really care enough to know. And in all honesty, that alone was pretty damn cool. Tristan didn't cook much, but when he did, people always used to say it was really good (even though it was only really his mom who ever ate it, and she might have just been being nice to not hurt her son's feelings in any way..) so he was confident in his abilities.Though, if you asked Tristan's dad, you'd get a completely different story - though his dad, in respect of his son's feelings never said it to his face or anything. Only to his sisters and brothers, who tried their best to hold in that secret whenever Tristan happened to cook around his father. What did the siblings think? Well, Tristan likes to not think about that part. It's a very sensitive story for the kid, and he would rather not go through all that crying again. Even that would be too much information for him.

The job had been requested by some bartender. Tristan had never met him, but he heard that he supported up-and-coming rookies in Crocus, and while Tristan wouldn't settle for just being a "rookie" he was in need of some money, so he sucked it up and took it anyways. Besides, perhaps Tristan would be able to make some connections through this job or something.. hehe, that would be quite nice for him. He could become a famous person... in the bar. For flipping burgers. On second thought, that didn't sound TOO appealing, but he had to start somewhere, right? Right?

Now, he needed to find out how to get to the bar. Tristan got lost in this city... it had such a weird layout, at least to someone as unadmittedly stupid as him. But, eventually, Tristan was able to make his way to the bar, layout or not, thanks to a kind old lady (she was actually 32) who pointed him in the right direction. However, with that advice, Tristan still had to admit it was pretty hard and found a bit of trouble finding it still. Maybe it was just luck that caused him to do this. Despite all that, he was at the bar now, so he guessed he couldn't complain about that little hassle anymore. Though he would make sure to buy a bit fo a better map of the city next time he was in a center where they sold some maps... actually, he'd need a map to find the map place anyways. Damn, this was hard.

Tristan finally started walking into the pub, or bar, or whatever it was called (Tristan didn't really care, though. Not like he could drink anyways. He probably shouldn't mention that to the guy that hired him, now that he thought about it. The whole place looked pretty good - pretty clean, very nice looking place. Greeting the bartender, Tristan notified the man that he was here to be the fill-in cook. The bartender nodded, and let Tristan onto the grill.

Tristan didn't have a lot of trouble making the stuff, and honestly, the customers said it was pretty good - even the mean looking ones! The whole kitchen was pretty clean, and there were a lot of utilities for different things in there. Tristan enjoyed making the burgers the most - Tristan himself was always a fan of a good burger or two. And when they had the processed cheese melted on top of them just gently as they were finishing cooking? Literally the best taste in the entire world, at least to this kid right here. He had to hold himself back from actually eating the burgers himself, in all honesty.

Tristan finished the final dish of the day, some french friest made with a really cool deep-fryer, and wrapped up. Luckily, this pub had a janitor, so he didn't have to worry about cleaning all the pots or anything like that. Thank god! Praise the lord for such good working conditions.

As Tristan recieved his pay, he walked out of the building wondering one thing to himself. Perhaps he should give up his dream of heroes and open a diner.

Nah, cchefs just weren't famous enough for him. Maybe he'd pick it up as a side hobby or something, one day.
