Crocus, although it was the capital city of Fiore, as far as her memories went she had never even set foot within the city. Perhaps it was due to the festivities currently on display, but the festival made the city lively in a way that reminded her of the old Joyan festivals. It filled her with a sense of nostalgia, like a child running among vendor booths and marveling at everything they saw for the first time. Honestly? She had to admit this wasn't a bad feeling in the slightest.

A smile lingered on her lips, her expression partly obscured by her veil as she watched children running around without a care in the world, their parents watching them nearby with the same worry that reminded her of birds seeing their hatchlings leave the nest for the first time.

"What should I do..." A worried voice called out from nearby, leading Veles to trail her gaze into the direction the voice came from. A young man was pacing back and forth muttering to himself, yet upon seeing her a faint shimmer of hope appeared in his eyes. "Miss! yes you!" He called out to her, leading Veles to tilt her head slightly to the side in bewilderment as the man approached her. "You wouldn't happen to be an adventurer, would you?

The question brought a smile to her lips, perhaps because of the irony behind it. "I guess you could call me that~" Well, it wasn't wrong persay... She was an adventurous spirit, but it seemed the answer was the one the man had hoped for. "Gracious me~ I finally might be blessed. You see, I am the manager of a circus, we had brought an entire assortment of exotic animals and monsters from across the entire continent to display here, especially with rumors that the king himself would show up. But some of the monsters have escaped from their cages!"

The man exclaimed in a display of regret. Veles nodded her head attentively. "You want me to find them for you?" The question brought a smile to the manager's lips. "Indeed! Please try to bring them back without killing them. They are no use to us when they are dead, but for each one you bring back I can reward you with two of the special tickets we received for the grand wheel of fortune that is going on within the city right now. Perhaps you might even be lucky and win a grand price?"

The opportunity did sound nice, and it would be an interesting way to explore the festival as well. "Fine~ You have a deal: I'll find your escaped specimens."

The man's joy radiated from him as he handed over a list of the monsters that had escaped and started to describe the various traits and properties of each individual creature. It seemed that Veles had caught herself in quite an adventurous event in the city of Crocus today! Now the question was... What type of creature would she end up encounter first on her search?
