Dan
Dan yawned as he scratched his face feeling the short beard that was the result of him staying away from home for a hit. He smiled as he felt the sway of his ship as he neared Hargeon port in the early morning hours. Dan was taking a few days off to relax and sail around fiore for a bit before returning to Magnolia to get his next quest. Dan stood from his chair in the captains quarters and stepped out onto the deck and took a deep inhale of the salty dea air as he watched the port slowly getting larger as he neared it. As the ship finally pulled into port Dan mentally ordered the ship to begin pulling up the sails and to start lowering the anchor into the water. As Dan stepped of his ship his ears began to fill with the sound of dock workers quickly walking back and forth removing and replacing boxes and crates.

Dan raised an eyebrow at the odd sight but ultimately ignored it as he began to walk through the port and begin to restock on any items that were beginning to run low on the ship. Dan spent the next few hours shopping and exploring all the different wares that were coming into fiore that particular day before deciding to go to the local pub and grab himself and drink before departing back out to sea. As Dan neared the bar he began to hear a group of sailors attempt to quietly shout at each other from a nearby table. Though the words became clear and he walked by them. "I'm telling you we should just go and look for the scurvy ridden pox snakes ourselves and hang them from the front of our ships as a warning." An older sailor with a balding gray head said as he slammed back his drink.

Dan could feel his eyebrows raise a hit as he heard the mans threats of bodily harm. Deciding to keep listening in Dan quickly ordered a pint of beer and sat down at the bar still within hearing distance of the sailors as turned his head slightly to keep and ear pointed at them. "If we could do that don't you think one of the other ships would have already those pirates just suddenly appear out of nowhere like ghosts before disappearing just as quick." A younger man with a buzz cut complained as he took a deep swig of his drink. Dan took a drink as he processed what he just heard. 'Pirates huh?' Dan thought to himself as he finished his drink and began to walk back to his ship in contemplation. Deciding that he would help catch these thieves he quickly boarded his ship and began to set sail.

As Dan stepped through the doorway to the captains room he felt the ship shift as the sails dropped and the anchor rose quickly. Dan quickly stepped over to see a map sitting on the table that had the normal cargo routes for Hargeon ships written on it that Dan had procured from a sea town up the coast a few days previously in hopes that he could avoid getting in any of the ships way. 'Now I know that their weren't any reports of pirates up the coast as that was the route I took to get here so they must be to the south.' Dan thought as he mentally set a course for open water and took a step back onto the deck. Dan sighed and closed his eyes for a moment as he felt the waves slowly crash into the hull if the ship gently as the it swayed with the breeze.

Dan wouldn't be looking for long as after only a short hour and a half at sea Dan could see what looked like a older style ship that hadn't been in commercial use in around a decade come over the horizon at a speed that looked unnatural for it's large size. 'Hmm must be a mage on board either making the ship itself lighter or adding some kind of propulsion to it.' Dan thought to himself as the ship got closer to his current location. Dan stood on the deck as the ship neared his location and could see multiple people standing on the deck of the ship all seemingly laughing as what to them must seem like an easy win. Dan smirked for a moment at the thought before before quickly masking his face with a more neutral look. "Greetings gentleman do you mind if i ask what you're all doing this fine day?" Dan asks with a small head tilt before one of the men jumps onto his ship.

Dan watched as the man srew closer to him as he spoke in a rough accent that was hard to place. "Alright pretty boy hand over any valuables you got in this here ship and we'll see about getting you back on your way." Dan felt his lip twitching slightly as he turned around and chuckled "Or counter offer..." Dan said before he held his right hand flat in front of him causing a mixed yellow and purple spell circle 0.25-Meters Diameter to appear on the palm of his hand causing it to become engulfed in black lightning before quickly chopping the man in the throat causing him to fall to the ground convulsing. The other men quickly lost there smiles as reality set in "He's a mage!" One shouted before quickly summoning a magic circle and trying to get the ship to flee from Dan as the sails filled with air.

Dan felt an eyebrow raise as the ship began to move away from the how revealed mage. 'Huh so that's what was moving the ship.' Dan thought before he clenchesld his fist and opening his hand creating a large mixed yellow and purple magic circle 0.5-Meters in Diameter in front of him creating a large orb of black lightning to form and quickly fire towards the now feeling ship hitting the mast causing it to fall though thankfully not on any of the pirates. As Dan's ship lazily drifted next to the ship again he smiled as he quickly stepped over the rail. "Well now that was fun wasn't it so how about you guys give up and we can call it a day sound good?" Dan asked hoping that these men might actually have a small bit of common sense but alas it seemed not as they quickly began to charge Dan as a group.

Dan could only sigh in frustration as he pinched his nose in annoyancem "I don't have time to deal with you all one on one so I'm just going to end this quickly." Dan said as he clapped his hands together creating a mixed yellow and black magic circle 0.5-Meters in Diameter beneath his feet causing black lightning to cover his body before opening his hands outwards causing the black lightning to fire off at his surroundings hitting all of the charging pirates causing them to drop unceremoniously onto the deck. As Dan tied all of the offending crew members up he decided to check their ship for any stolen cargo that he could return to it's owners. As Dan neared the bottom of the ship he began hearing odd sounds coming from a room to his right. Quickly walking forwards he opened the door only to feel his eyes widen at what he saw inside.

There sitting in front of Dan was a large group of people of varying age and gender and nationality from small children to old people with a cane. 'Dear lord this was a slave ship' Dan thought as many of the people flinched at his approach. Dan slowly held his up his hands palms out showing that he didn't have anything on them. "Whoa whoa peace I'm not here to hurt you I'm a mage from the fairy tail guild." Dan said as he showed them his guild mark. A few of the people who looked Fiorian quickly lost their tension as they explained what you said to anyone who didn't speak the language well. Dan quickly walked around and freed everybody who was chained up and led them upstairs where they all cheered at the sight of the very people who took them now in chains themselves for once.

Dan quickly gathered what food and water he had managed to buy earlier in town and began to distribute it among the refugees on his boat. Thankfully it didn't look like any of them were suffering from malnutrition so at least there was that. Dan quickly set a course for Hargeon port while making sure to keep his eyes on the pirates now taking up space on his deck to make sure they didn't try anything. As they landed at the dock Dan quickly informed a dock hand about his new cargo and had the man run and grab the Rune Knights to come and pick them up. The mayor showed up not long after the Rune Knights did to personally thank him and pay him the bounties on each of their heads. Apparently this was a well known group of slavers that would appear and disappear quickly before authorities could catch them. Dan was thankful for the money and quickly restocked his supplies and began his trip home to magnolia.
