Drakkon and Hai had taken on another quest that had been hanging around recently. This one was another haunted situation, but this time it was taking place in Seven. It seemed like the grand arena had an area where at night a bunch of ghostly gladiators would appear in the area and fight. It seemed like one of the people working there at night had taken notice of this and wanted someone to put them at rest. The Dragon Slayer didn’t mind, and he wondered how they were going to be able to do that. He figured they could tell them if they asked.

Of course, he wasn’t alone, he had brought Carmina with him. They were heading to the arena and if they were going to fight this would be a good experience for her. This country was the one that Yuurei had always been in. If he remembered correctly, he needed to make sure not to cause trouble here or else he would have to face him. He was not in the proper fighting prowess to be fighting him just yet. The man with infinite armor was going to be difficult and he planned on becoming a little stronger and then fighting him.

The travel to the Grand Arena wasn’t long or anything like that, the group would arrive there quickly because Drakkon had been there before. That meant that he could use his Yamato to travel there without a problem. When they got there Hai looked at the place and felt uneasy about it. He was never here in the dark, and it was usually crowded when they were here. Drakkon just looked at how big this place was and enjoyed the scenery from there.

“I wonder how strong those gladiators are going to be. They have got to put up a challenge or else this isn’t going to be hard at all. What do you think they are going to ask us to do Carmina? Do you think they are going to have us fight each other for their entertainment? They could ask to do that, or they could ask them to fight their best fighters and best them. Do you think you will be able to handle that?” He asked her curious to hear what she had to say.

Hai heard that, and he looked at Carmina. She had been getting stronger, that was for sure. The Dragon could feel the mana that had increased within her recently and it seemed like being under Drakkon’s wing had been good and bad for her.

“I’m sure she should be fine as long as she isn’t fighting you Father.” He said to him as Drakkon nodded, agreeing to those words.

They had entered the Colosseum as they were trying to find where these gladiators were located. It wouldn’t take long to find out the direction to go as they would hear the sound of blades and shields clashing with each other. The Dragon Slayer made his way to see that the rumors were true and there were ghostly gladiators fighting.

Carmina looked to her master as she had heard about the thing he wanted her to help with and she wondered if she would really be able to help him or not and if she could help him how would she do so as she was sure that there was no way that she would be able to stand up against actual hand to hand combat but she was going to have to push herself. She knows that she will have to take this as it comes and she walked through the portal with her master and she looked around at the darkness and she wondered if much like the other one there was something that was meant to trigger it and she looked around and then she heard her master speak to her and she she made a sound like she was thinking on how she was meant to answer that as she clearly had no idea how this was going to go or what they were going to want.

She then spoke softly in the darkness of the area that they were in. "If they were wanting that I think it would have already started and we would have been sent to, two different sides. My guess is that they will be aiming to have use face a challenge of their choosing to see if we will be let loose as the last one was like as usually these things follow patterns, but as I don't have the context really it is a toss up, maybe they will make us fight our fears or in some way face them here and now for their enjoyment." She sighed a bit as she had no real idea to what they were going to want from them or what they will want to have them do but she knows that Rey was probably on his way here but as he is like a 26 foot monster he didn't fit many places but this place seemed to be an open air place and that was something that she thinks might work to their advantage.

She looked around in the darkness half tempted to put her mana vision on so she could see into the dark abyss that was spread around them and that was something that she would need to think about as she needed to make sure if anyone was watching them and then she thought she heard the sound of someone clapping and she quickly spun to look in the way of the clapping but she didn't see anyone and then the clap happened again right behind her and she knows something or some one is messing with her and that is not really something she wanted to mess with. "Show yourself and tell us what you want from us so we can undertake it and not have to play this guessing game." She thinks that she heard a haughty laugh from right next to her and she looked to her master to see if it was him that had made that sound but she seemed to not see if it was him that had done so.

Drakkon was walking to the arena with Hai and Carmina, and while doing so he heard her. He figured that could have gone that way, but the thing is that they didn’t just appear and get teleported. He had taken them there, but while they were walking, they would hear someone laughing. It seemed like Carmina had something to say with them laughing and they had something to say.

“Little girl, you talk like you own this place. If you keep going you will see the gladiators fighting. Once you see them, they will tell you what they want you to do. Still, you’re funny to demand me to show myself.” The ghost said to her as he kept laughing at her.

The Devourer was already heading to the arena anyway, and once they had arrived at the battlefield, they could see that there were multiple fighters there. Their bodies were translucent to them, but their gear and everything was on them. They were enjoying their fights with each other, but the presence of those alive had triggered them. They had stopped fighting each other and looked at the group that was there. It was then they looked at them wondering why they were here.

“Why have you come here?” One of the ghosts asked them wondering what would be said.

Hai looked at his father and wondered what he would say. Drakkon heard them and thought about how he could say this.

“We want to set you guys from the arena. There are people concerned that you guys can’t move past this realm.” He said to them and they laughed, but they weren’t lying about that.

“I see, so you’re wondering what can you do to set us free from this arena? Well, I guess if you can show us and give our two best fighters a fight they will never forget, it would help them move on. You see a lot of us died in a way that is dishonorable, so we would like to see something spectacular.” He said to Drakkon.

The devourer heard what they said, and he was fine with that.

“Alright let’s do this. The two of us will fight your two best.” He said to them as Hai roared.

It was then he had merged with Drakkon and the Dragon Slayer’s appearance would change into a mix of the two of them. They were impressed by that transformation, and he would bring out his katanas as he got into his stance. It was then that their strongest man bigger than Drakkon and he had two axes. Drakkon wouldn’t use his magic against this guy as it seemed like he was a weapon user. He ran to him and the two of them clashed their weapons as they stared into each other’s eyes.

It was then that Drakkon noticed he was about to kick him from the side. He would take the hit, and in return, while his body had tilted, he had kicked the gladiator as well. The two had stumbled away from each other with a smirk on their face. Drakkon figured he would do better for him so that they could be happy about their defeat.

Carmina heard the voice speak to her and she wondered why she was always finding herself in this kind of things but she also needed to remember that she was not all that talented and that was just something that she really seemed to need to get into her head as her master had also scolded her for over stepping herself not too long ago so there was that as well that seemed to loom over her as she had been confident and was feeling like she could take on the world before her master pulled the carpet from under her feet and made her face plant. She needed to focus though as this sounded like it was going to be dangerous and she needed to make sure that she is careful as she is not a fighter like that and lacked and martial weapon that she could use to fight with so she wasn't feeling like she was going to be able to take part in this fight and if she did she might just get herself killed for her troubles.

She needed to keep her head she was smarter than this and that was the only thing that could help her here if she was given a weapon she would have to use it outside of that she needed to make sure that she was able to fight and take part in a fight that was good enough to help put them to rest but she also knows that she couldn't think about it now as she needed to make sure that she was going to live if that was even possible but she walked in following her master and her opponent looked at her and then she started wondering what she was going to be up against and she self buffed herself so she can run at the woman that was looking at her and she also buffed her strength so she can put up a fight and the other dead looking woman waved her hand making runic symbols appear and fire at Carmina.

This woman must be a spellsword as she was mixing in her magical attacks and having heavy armor that didn't seem to slow her down and Carmina thinks this woman was back stabbed as there was a sword that went through her back and out the front. Carmina started matching the woman's spells one for one and trying to see what she could even do about it as this was not what she was expecting to be fighting and that is when the woman Carmina was fighting dashed in on her and slashed at her with a two handed great sword which Carmina blocked with a shield spell and then kicked the woman and did a flip off of the kick and landed on her feet Carmina was sure that looked odd but it did two things slightly knocked the woman back and let her make space her self as she unleashed light element spells to try and hit the other woman as she is undead so Carmina hoped that light spells might be more effective.

Drakkon looked at him with a serious look at the gladiator who had rushed over to him. It was then that the Dragon Slayer had stepped back to avoid the attack, and then another attack had come his way. He moved back again as he was being pushed back. It was then he saw another attack and he blocked it with his leg against the man's kick. This stopped him from moving for a second, which brought the gladiator to attack again as he closed in on him. When that happened, Drakkon had clashed his blade with the man before headbutting him. The man would stumble back from that and he shook his head as he looked at the devourer.

He was in front of him without hesitating. The Yakuza boss had slashed through the gladiator, wounding him, and then coming in with another swing as he wasn’t done. The man was surprised to see this, his eyes pleased, but he wasn’t done with this fight. He felt the blow as if he was alive, for which he was grateful. Drakkon knew this was a fight, so he didn’t stop just because he got two good swings on this guy. No, he was going in for another attack, and the gladiator saw that. It was then he would do a barrel roll to avoid being hit a third time.

When he did that he got up quickly and looked over to Drakkon and he could see that the man was a fighter.

“Have you fought in the arena before?” He asked Drakkon.

“Yeah, I think I’ve lost two times here and won three times.” He said to him as he cracked his neck.

When the man heard that this man had lost, he could only imagine who could have bested him. There was one person in the arena he wished had shown up. Apparently, he was the current champion of the arena.

“I see isn’t it great to have people cheering for you while you have a glorious battle?” He asked him wondering how he would answer.

Drakkon nodded as he agreed as he was glad to be entertainment for others. Still, right now he was in a fight with no audience, which he was fine with too. The gladiator had approached Drakkon and he would swing his axes at him. He would avoid the attacks but then saw the butt of the weapon coming toward him. It had hit him in the forehead as he would cock his head back before moving it back to where it was. That was when he saw the gladiator in front of him. instinctively he swung his blade down and the two of them exchanged blows.

The spirit took a big hit and he felt himself go. the spectators watching were surprised by how the battle ended, but they were happy that they were able to see a great fight. The man had started disappearing as he was happy with his defeat. The group would wait for the other fight to finish and if they were pleased they would fulfill what was missing and disappear from the arena. After that, the two would be able to get paid and move on to the next thing.

Carmina had watch as the woman reacted swiftly and had pulled a shield off of her back and blocked the spells and Carmina smiled as this woman was seemingly crafty and she had underestimated her she needed to pull herself together and find a way through her tankiness. The spellsword let out a bit of a war cry and let loose magical tendrils from her back and Carmina dodged the best that she could as she saw this was clearly starting to not go her way. She needed to not get caught as the woman seemed to have a magic that had a lingering effect as the tendrils seemed to eat away at what ever they touched and that was not something that Carmina wanted to feel first hand and that means that she needed to step it up. Carmina put her hands out and took shots of magic of the light element at the woman and she hoped that she would be able to pull herself up from the abyss that she was seeming to be finding herself at. She was not going to back down she needed to make this all matter and count.

The spellsword woman kept blocking the spells but it seemed to affect her tendrils as they were hit as they broke from it and that was something that the woman was okay with letting happen as she used the opening to get in close and personal to Carmina and Carmina watched the woman's movement and she used her mind to make a split second choice and dashed while jumping so she was behind the woman who was now off balance not expecting the woman to catapult her self over her and Carmina unleashed more light spells and they hit the woman in the back and they seemed to really leave a mark on the woman. Carmina remembered that the woman had that sword through her back to start with so it meant that she was prone to getting back stabbed or that she was willing to bull rush and use all her power to try and over power someone and she was not a long time fighter she was a flash fighter, meaning that she ends matches as fast as she can with over whelming powerful strikes.

Carmina landed on her feet and she started reading more spells and threw an area of effect spell as she knows the other woman can't just block with her shield on that one and she was right the spellsword woman used a defensive spell to block it and that was something that Carmina wondered if that was something that she had ever used or not then Carmina needing to end this make a group of movements that almost made it look like she was dancing but she let loose an over whelming amount of spells and the spellsword woman lost but she did it with a smile as she was beaten by overwhelming force and not a sneak attack now and that would let her rest.
