Brone Heavyaxe
Brone Heavyaxe had gathered his weapons and donned his armor. He was serious when he had asked Yuurei for the request to descend deep into the mountain below Paradise Dawn’s guild hall in order to find a magma chamber that would be the fuel source for a new forge. And when the Yuurei accepted and asked ‘when?’, the dwarf replied ”Right away”.

There was an abandoned mineshaft that Brone had discovered when the guild was still making adjustments to the foundation to the area, so they decided to reach it’s end and hopefully find continue forward on their quest.

Truthfully, and he admitted this to his friend, that he wasn’t sure if there was a magma chamber nearby, but there were moments when the Stone had whispered to him, telling him there was a heartbeat somewhere down below. Brone had not talked about his faith ever, mainly openly back at home with his clan since they were religious, but this hunch he had was more based on faith and he hoped Yuurei would understand.

The mineshaft was old and any equipment that was left before was covered in cobwebs. All lanterns were left unlit given that the oil within them had long since gone, but for the sake of his friend, Brone had brought along a lantern he had snagged from one of the night patrolmen of the guild.

”I had offered the gnome to come but he said ‘no’” The dwarf chuckled. It was an understatement; Gnicholas actually stated to travel to find a magma chamber was one of the most dangerous things anyone could do and preceded to call Brone a danger-prone idiot. As for the ravens, they hated being underground, and Benimaru was convinced by the gnome to remain in the guild hall where it was safe. Brone shrugged, he was fine with Yuurei and Reinji, that is if the exceed decided to join them.

Yuurei

Yuurei was going on an adventure within the guild area. He was asked to help look for something, but there was a chance that it might not have been there. Still, it was a chance to check something new, which he couldn’t pass up honestly. He was ready to go and it seemed like his friend would prepare himself. He had a smile on his face as he didn’t have to do any such thing. Instead, he would wait for Brone and when the man was ready, he would follow the dwarf to the location he would take him to. When they got there, they would enter the mineshaft and it seemed like it was abandoned and older than the guild itself.

They were ready for what was to come, and Yuurei’s armor was always at the ready just in case anything bad happened. The Seraphim’s eyes wandered around the place as he was trying to make sure they weren’t followed, the place wasn’t unstable, and there were any secret passages around. While doing that, his neck would snap back to Brone who had spoken to him. They were short a few people, as he also didn’t have Renji with him. He chuckled and smiled a bit as he understood why the gnome must have said no to Brone’s proposal to join them.

“Yeah, I tried to get Renji to join, but he said if we did find a magma chamber, he would die of heat.” He said to Brone laughing a bit.

“Still, since we’re here, you should lead the way. Hopefully, we do find what we’re looking for.” He said to Brone as he waited for his friend to make the first move.

Yuurei had his regular items on him, which was something he always did. The accessories never really went into his domain and his schoolbag had more of his items as well.

"Yeah, the little ones ain't gonna deal with the heat too well" Brone laughed as the two of them continued through the old mine shaft. The gnome was right and the dwarf had to admit it; trying to locate a magma chamber is incredibly dangerous, let alone the heat would be unbearable for most people. The best choices were two of the strongest members in the guild.

Eventually, they've reached a manmade intersection that broke off into two other tunnels. To Brone's memory, this would be the lowest part of the mineshaft. He knelt down to touch the dirt, getting a good feel of it, then he rubbed some of the dirt between his fingers before bringing it to his lips to taste. He nodded a bit, taking in the senses of the ground. Then after a minute of silence he pulled out the black axe, Dhuraindarin. "Ye might want to step back" he turned to smile at Yuurei before returning his gaze to the floor he was fixated on.

Brone holds the black axe in his two primary hands; he positions his feet and steadies his blade, taking full focus on the spot he planned on striking. The dwarf had used the destructive axe numerous times already to break and shatter items and even terrain, but they were in a mineshaft, so he needed to make sure that his strike wouldn't cause a cave-in for them.

Then he pulled back on the axe to gain momentum. The blade then came down and struck the floor, causing a massive fissure to form, splitting the ground in two, separating the tunnels. The fissure caused the ground all about to shake which was great enough to send vibrations throughout the surface where the guild members were trying to start their day.

The fissure was deep to the point even Brone with his dark vision couldn't see the end. Without hesitation, he walked down the slope, descending deep into the fissure.

Yuurei

Yuurei would follow Brone as he would hear his words. It would seem like he agreed with the little ones in not coming. He would nod as he understood that, but he wanted Renji to come anyways. It would have been a perfect part of his training, but that was something he wouldn’t bring up. He looked at the mineshaft they were in, and he felt like he was in a familiar place. He couldn’t put his finger on it, but he wouldn’t think too hard about it as he was following Brone.

They would eventually come to a stop and he would look at his friend and he would see him at work. The hunter would rub the back of his head as he was trying to figure out what was going to happen next.

“I think the next time you see Renji, you’re going to be in for a big surprise, Brone.” He said to Brone as he was impressed that Renji’s training had finally come along fine.

He wondered if he would have his friend join in on fights, but with the training, he had been doing with his spears, he couldn’t have him intervene just yet. Thinking about this made him forget why he was here until Brone told him to step back. Yuurei would look at him and he would step back without thinking. It was then he would see the destruction that Brone had caused.

His eyes widen, he was surprised but noticed that the cave didn’t fall on them. The ground shook a lot, but it was not something that bothered Yuurei. The results were something that made him laugh as he looked at Brone.

“Did you know that was going to happen?” He had to ask him as he questioned his course of action.

Yuurei would see him descending down the slop that he had created but wondered if they could have just hovered down to the bottom.

Brone Heavyaxe
As the dwarf was carefully walking down the steep slope, he answered Yuurei, "Of course, the Stone spoke to me and I listened" is all the dwarf said regarding his odd ritual before striking the ground; though Brone himself couldn't really explain it. Feeling the ground and using the other senses were the best way for him to connect with the earth, and when he was done, he felt that it was right to strike at that specific spot. He didn't know if Yuurei would understand, since this was a faith that was specific to dwarfs, especially the Heavyaxe clan.

After descending a good distance, Brone could feel a warm breeze press up against him. He nodded as he continued to descend. As they would continue, the warm breeze would increase in temperature and pressure, so much so that a bead of sweat formed upon the dwarf's brow, "We're gonna have to jump down and find a safe spot before we get cooked; the longer we're above the heat source, the quicker we cook" Brone said before he jumped down the rest of the way.

As the dwarf free fell down the split crevice, he eventually spotted orange light. The heat became so intense, his face went pink and the ends of his facial hairs began to singe.

Once Brone found himself falling into a large open chamber containing bright hot magma, he called upon his cloak which awoken and slowed his fall, allowing him to fly above the pool of magma. The dwarf then flew to the side and landed on solid ground at one of the ends of the magma pool. Now that he was adjacent to the pool instead of above it, the air was somewhat cooler, but still intense. "We found it" he would say as soon as Yuurei caught up to him, "We'll need to start working on getting a mine rail down the fissure, maybe build a lift. This is going to be a long process, but once we're done, we'll have a great forge above this magma pool" Brone was smiling wide. The image of the magma pool brought him back to when he was but a child, seeing a magma pool with his father for the first time.

Yuurei

Yuurei would nod as he heard Brone as he believed his words. He knew that his friend didn’t have any reason to lie, so he wouldn’t question it. Instead, he would keep moving through the slop that they were walking on together.

“I see, that is interesting indeed. You’re going to have to teach me that someday.” He said to Brone as he kept moving.

It was then the pressure of the heat would hit them. It would seem like this was going to be tough if they kept walking instead of taking in all of this heat at once. He felt the sweat rolling down his face and he found himself wiping it off his forehead. He would look over to Brone as he heard his words and he was fine with figuring it out.

“Sure, after you.” He knew that he wouldn’t allow them to get cooked and he would have teleported them out of there.

He would jump down as he would follow his friend down the hole. He had his cape not too far from him and it would make its way around Yuurei’s neck when he saw he was falling to his doom. The Seraphim would glide his way down as he felt the heat all around him. His face was red from the heat, but he needed the practice because of where he was heading next.

When they got to the bottom of the place, Yuurei would move to a safe spot and Brone would do the same thing. This was interesting to see that his friend had the same cape as him, and he wondered where he had gotten it from.

He was going to ask him where he had gotten the cape but instead listened to his friend. He would smile at him as he understood what he meant and they were going to have a lot of work indeed.

“Yeah, and then we can start working on greater creations for the future. I wondered what kind of things I can make after I master smithing.” He said thinking about the possibilities.

Still, now that they had found the magma chamber, they would have to get production started.
