Charlotte Harrison
Charlotte’s original travel plan had undergone several iterations. Originally she was supposed to travel alongside the famous mage, Yuurei, but he had left the east far earlier than she had been able to, as she had chosen to instead spend some time with her closest friend and ally prior to embarking to Central Fiore. A place she hadn’t ever thought she’d return to any time soon. Yet here she was, lured in by the promise of ruins to explore by a guy she knew more from tabloids than from talking in person.

During that time, she’d received a message from her brother, Jamie. A rune knight who had been aiding Charlotte since her escape from their family’s household all those years ago. He had received her letter about her plans to travel to central and whilst he urged her to remain in the east as a precaution, he had mentioned that if she really must travel, he strongly suggested she take Edgar with her.

As such, the tamer had requested for her friend to join her on her journey so that her brother would have less to worry about than having her travel with some famous mage. Choosing to take the trains as their means of travel from Magnolia to Era. The young woman had been so excited, that she’d barely slept the night before, causing her to sleep most of the train ride.

Edgar
Edgar didn’t have any travel plans as Charlotte did before she had asked him to join her on her journey to Era from Magnolia. He hadn’t seen Charlotte’s brother for a while but always knew him as a good man who often checked on Charlotte during her time in the village, and if he was asking, who was he to decline to travel with Charlotte. It would also allow him to spend more time with his friend.

Charlotte dealt with all the details of their travel and decided to take the train. During the trip, Charlotte fell asleep, so Edgar chose to look out the window and do soul searching. He had conflicting feelings about the girl he travelled with and was unsure how to unravel them. For now, he wanted to become stronger, be on her level, and not burden them as they took more demanding jobs to assist more people. It wasn’t a bad feeling by any means. He appreciated her company more then he realised before.

Edgar also spent some of the trip trying to keep Charlotte’s gryphon Gwendolyn in check. When the snack trolley came by, she almost bowled the attendant over trying to get the two to buy it some treats.
