Yuurei

Yuurei and Renji decided that it was a good day to help out the local sailors on the island. This wasn’t a problem to him as he figured that it was something he got used to. They knew about him, and when they put their job on the board, they were hoping that he would be the one to take it.

The two of them had been on the job board as they were looking around to see what they were going to do today. It wouldn’t take long, but Yuurei would take the job to take out a deadly sea creature. He had taken that without a problem and now the two of them would start walking to where all the shops were docked. He knew that the same people would be around, but every now and then there were new ships docking on the island ready for someone to help them out.

Yuurei

The two of them would walk through the sand of the island. Renji was getting used to the island and the heat. He truly didn’t like this feeling, but after a while, he would eventually be conditioned. While they were walking together, Renji would look over at Yuurei.

“So, are you going to try out that arm of yours in this job?” He asked Yuurei wondering what he would say to him.

Yuurei would look at Renji when he heard his friend, and he would look at his arm and would move it around. He could only think about what it could do and what it would eventually be able to do in the future.

“I guess I can use it today. I don’t think it will be a problem. I actually wouldn’t mind if this came in handy when it came to fighting these monsters.” He said to Renji as they continued walking through Kahu Rock.

Yuurei

Yuurei and Renji would continue to move and eventually, they would make it to the docks. There they would see all the ships that were anchored in as he wondered what they were doing up there. Still, he knew it wasn’t his business and he kept moving. There were men on the docks though as they were moving back and forth. There were others that were selling things. The Nephilim would meet eye contact with a few people, and they would wave at each other as they continued on with their business.

He kept moving as he was following the direction of the job paper that he had in his hand. He was looking for a green ship that was docked here. The light mage would follow the direction of where he needed to go as he was hoping to find it soon. There were a lot of ships that were here, but none of them were green.

Yuurei

Yuurei and Renji kept walking to find the ship that they were looking for. It would take quite some time, but the two of them would eventually find the green ship they were looking for. They had finally found it, and it was at the edge of the dock. If they had known that then they would have just walked toward it without a problem. Still, that wasn’t the case, but it was in the past, so there was no complaining about it.

The two of them would look at the ship in front of them and they would see that it was massive. He would rub the back of his head as he honestly wanted to just walk onto the ship without saying anything, but he knew better.

“Hey we’re here for the job you had for someone to take. Is anybody there or should I come back another time?” He asked waiting for someone to answer him back.

Yuurei and Renji would wait for an answer to come from the ship, and there would be utterly silence. The two of them would look at each other as they were confused about what was going on.

“Should we leave?” He asked Yuurei.

“Nah let’s give it a bit more time Renji. I’m sure they’re busy or something.” He said to Renji as he looked at the ship.

It would take a couple of minutes, but soon someone would come to the edge of the ship. They would look down and they would see Yuurei and Renji.

He would wave at them, and he would basically motion at them to get onto the ship. The duo would look at each other and they would make their way to the ship. When they were on the deck of the ship, they would see that there were people working on the ship. It would seem like they were focused on getting things done here.

He would look for the person that had told him to get onto the ship. When he spotted them, he would walk over to them with Renji by his side. They would look at each other and Yuurei would speak first.

“We can set off whenever you guys are ready.” He said to him as he would show him the paper that his crew had put on the job board today.

The person was surprised that he was eager to do this job. He figured that confidence was showing him that he was strong as they said this man was. Yes, he knew of Yuurei, so it wasn’t a surprise that he had faith in him when it came to taking on the sea monster.

“That’s good to hear. Since you’re ready, then that means we’re ready to get this ship on the show.” He said as he would say this out loud for people to hear him on his ship.

Yuurei and Renji would hear this and they were looking at everyone to continue to work. They would watch one person pick up the anchor. Once this was in place, the ship would start moving. The wind would blow into the sail, pushing the ship in the direction the sails were directed in. This was good because it meant that things were going to be getting in the way. Yuurei and Renji would move to the edge of the ship as they were looking at the water together.

“I believe you got this handle. I’m going to make sure I stay in the middle of the ship, so I don’t fall off the ship.” He said to Yuurei with a smile on his face.

Yuurei would hear this as he looked over at his friend. He would laugh at him, but he understood what he said. They had done this a lot and at times things had gone messy.

“No worries I got this. Whatever we fight shouldn’t be a problem. Just relax and wait for things to be over.” He said to Renji with a smile on his face.

The Exceed would hear this and he would start walking toward the middle of the deck. Yuurei would stay where he was as he was waiting for them to make their way to the sea monster. He was tired of the sea creatures getting a surprise attack on them. He was hoping that this time it would be different.

It seemed like people were working their butt off and he wondered when they were going to stop sailing.

“Drop the anchor!” The man would shout, and it would be done.

The ship would come to a stop when this was done, and it would seem like they were in the location where the sea monster could be found. This was good and he was ready to fight this thing and have them claim it as their catch.

Yuurei would watch the captain order the people on his ship to get the bait out and they would do that. They would throw the bait into the water, and they would wait to see what would happen next. The light mage would look at Renji and the Exceed would open his bag. The Nephilim would have his items equipped onto him and he would run off the ship and he would be flying because of his cape. He would look around as he was waiting for the sea monster to come out. Of course, it wouldn’t take long as the creature would show up. It would eat the food as it jumped out of the water. He would avoid it because it would seem like it was trying to eat him as well.

It would fall into the water again, and a huge wave would crash onto the ship. It would rock it hard, but nobody would fall into the water.

Yuurei would look at the monster as it was moving around the water. Now that they brought it to the surface it wasn’t leaving just yet. It wanted more food as that was what they had given it not too long ago. Still, he was going to make this quick. He was waiting for something to happen, and he would move around as he was following the monster’s shadow. It wouldn’t take long, but the creature would jump out of the water again. It was trying to eat him, but he would dodge it without a problem. When he did that, he would swing his right arm straight at the sea monster. It would stretch two meters from his arm's original position. It would connect to the sea monster, and it would drop onto the water.

It would sink in the water, but it would float as Yuurei had taken it out in one shot.

Yuurei

Yuurei was surprised that it didn’t put up a fight, but he wasn’t the only one. The group who watched his fight were surprised to see his arm could stretch. It was interesting to see; the Nephilim would just use his other ability and he would wrap the sea creature with his bandages as he would move it closer to the ship. After he had done that, he would get back onto the ship and everybody was cheering with his accomplishment. There were others there who would secure the sea monster onto the ship. Once that was all done, the crew would start heading back to the shore that they had come from.

The captain was happy about this, and everyone could see this. Renji would make his way to Yuurei as he was glad that he had made quick work of this monster. Yuurei would put all of his stuff inside Renji’s bag except for the stuff he always carried with him.

When they got to the docks of Kahu Rock, the captain would approach Yuurei and would hand him his reward. He was glad that this guy had been with them as he made things easier. Nobody in his crew had died either, which was a good thing. Once Yuurei got paid, he and Renji would leave to enjoy the rest of their day.
