Details


Description: A marvelous staff that walks the line between absolute awe and utter intimidation, even the briefest gaze upon it - eyes centered upon the crafted headpiece, the interweaving of metallic snakes conjoined and heads protruding out in failed efforts of freedom - is enough to cause one to reflect and wish to see more. It is in that moment that the line is crossed, the intrigue turns to fright as the heads begin to move, motion bleeds throughout the coil, and what was thought to be inanimate gives now the impression of life. Thus, the fright, the potential that within this staff holds a fabled power. Were it the snakes themselves briefly robbed of their living existence, the power which radiates throughout that provides life, to gaze upon this staff leaves one with as much questions as they do a sense of fear that if power exists within such a staff that can manipulate entities in such a manner, could it happen to them too?

Measurements: The staff is 2 meters long. The serpents on top add an additional height of 20 centimeters.

Effects


  • Seven-Headed Serpent's Breath: The user can cast their spells through this staff and change the element to a Fire, Frost, Wind, Earth, Lightning, Water, or Arcane spell. Though, the original spell must also be one of these elements to be changed into one of the listed elements. Light, Darkness, and Nature spells cannot be changed into other elements with this staff.
  • Seven-Headed Serpent's Fangs: Offensive-type spells cast through the staff apply half of the damage to the equipment of the target and half of the damage to the target directly. As a result, an S-rank spell on the torso of a target would deal A-rank damage to the body armor and A-rank damage to the chest.

    Requirements: Staff of the Seven-Headed Serpent
    Type: Offensive
    Element: Arcane
    Range: 10 Meters (+2 meters staff length)
    Cooldown: 5 Posts
    Duration: Sustain
    Effect: The user swings the Staff of the Seven-Headed Serpent at a target as the serpents extend themselves up to 10 meters. This causes the staff to temporarily act as a gigantic whip while being swung. The serpents entwine themselves while being swung which gives the metallic serpent whip a diameter of 0.2 meters. The damage dealt by using this spell is the Strength of the user in combination with the damage of the weapon. Once it hits a target, the serpents immediately retract to the top of the staff and return to their original form.

    Type: Supplementary (Binding)
    Element: Arcane
    Range: 10 Meters
    Cooldown: 5 Posts
    Duration: Sustain
    Effect: The user aims the Staff of the Seven-Headed Serpent towards a target causing the serpents to extend towards the intended target to wrap themselves around them. The serpents bind themselves around the legs, arms, and body of the target to prevent any movement. The target may break free by using their Strength if it is at least double the rank of this spell. The target may also break free out of the bind by releasing a burst of mana equivalent to the cost of this spell. Since the serpents harden themselves while being used for the spell, any attempts to break free do not damage the weapon itself. Whenever a target breaks free, the serpents immediately retract to the top of the staff and return to their original form.
