Khalfani †
Khalfani had some business to handle before turning himself in. In an attempt to acquire for fame than infamy, he would give himself over to the government and deal with whatever sentence they'd give him. The thought of being locked in the dungeon of Era nearly pierced the steel armor that was his pride, but it had to be done. As the Commander of Paradise Dawn and a leader to millions of people in the north, sacrifices would come more often than he would appreciate. Nonetheless he was ready to make said sacrifices. His goal had slightly changed. He no longer wanted to be come king of Fiore. Fiore wasn't his homeland and he had come to realize that the idea stemmed from vengeance. Luckily enough for the King, the black panther had grown beyond such ideas. Instead, he would forge a home for those who didn't want to be affiliated with Fiore or it's king.

Those who wanted true peace, true justice and true independence would be welcome in the north and by extension, Paradise Dawn. The rogue prince walked through the city of Astera with a cloak on, nearly masked up with the exception of his nose and eyes revealing his identity. Khalfani was famous and infamous enough by now for people to know who he was. He always hated the idea of no longer having the privacy he desired, but that was also something that would come with what plans he had. Legacy was important to him nonetheless and with a great legacy came fame. The city was as cold as always, and the scent that was carried through the air was as unbearable as ever. God, how he hated Astera city. It wasn't the people that he despised, it was the area itself. Luckily he had slowly been overcoming his fear of large bodies of water.

Doing so many quests in this city was a direct result of that. For a moment the rogue prince stopped before turning around and gazing upon the city. Astera would be his very lost stop. After, he would make his way to Oak and surrender there. For now though he closed his eyes and imagined the future. It was bright indeed. For the Sun eater, life would only progress from here. He was glad that he had found like-minded individuals to embark on this journey. A certified Monster Hunter. A certified mercenary. His life in Desierto had been abandoned but in no way had he abandoned the people. He would go back soon but for now the Pharaoh would have to be held accountable from afar. After embracing the city's landscape, Khalfani turned around and began walking towards a shop he had heard about. For what exactly? Well he had finally acquired all of the pieces for his God Hunter.

It was a weapon created by a man in Heras, born a demi-god from one of the sevenese gods. Hopefully this shop keeper could put the pieces together so that it was usable. If not, then perhaps the Blacksmith in Seighart mountains can be of service. In any case, Khalfani was rather excited to have such a weapon in his arsenal. Despite the fact that it was never made complete by its creator, it could be of use in the days to come. All it would take is a bit more research for Khalfani to make it whole. Once that was done he had no doubt that it could pose as a threat to the monsters in the heavens known as the gods. My how he would have never known that his quarrels in life would no longer be with the king. How could he alone be to blame for the downfall of humanity if the gods were the ones controlling the fates of millions?

The idea alone was crazy. To think that Khalfani or anyone would actually be able to face a god was probably silly to most people, but there were legends of men and women alike who have slain them. In fact, there was a special magic that existed for that purpose. Khalfani was content with his current magical abilities. There was no need for him to obtain powers specifically created to slay gods when his magic was strong enough to do that already. Dragons, were in fact, considered deities after all. The panther placed his hands into his pockets as he made way to the shop. The door was up ahead. Once he reached the location he'd gently push it open, a bell ringing as he entered. The man at the front of the shop had been reading a book, but when Khal entered his head shot up. "Hello there!" the man said excitedly.

All around the shop had been a variety of magic items. Tools, potions, you name it. The former Eternal Nightmare mage looked around, his golden eyes gazing upon the different trinkets and necklaces. He wasn't here to buy anything of course, so he simply strolled towards the man. "What can I help you with today?" The man asked. Khalfani slowly pulled out the God Hunter dagger. It was scratched up probably from being used before, but it was in good condition nonetheless. "I need you to put the pieces back together." He asked as the dagger split up into three parts rested on the palm of his hand. The magic shop owner's eyes widened in response. "This is..." He then glanced up at Khalfani. "The God Hunter, yes." Khal said coldly. "I'll pay you well if you put it together." The man nodded and Khalfani quickly handed him the pieces.

The owner was just as excited as the rogue prince it seemed. Without hesitation he scurried off to the back of the shop to do what he needed to do to put the dagger together again. Hopefully it wouldn't take long. Khalfani wanted to head back to Oak quickly to say his goodbyes. If he was right, folks may have still been hanging on the roof. That was his initial thought before he read the splats of water droplets hit the window of the shop. Damn, it was raining. The rain wasn't always a bad thing. It brought life to the earth, helped the plants grow, and washed away all the negativity people may have been harboring. It was a good way to clear the streets and provide a peaceful night. The moon stood firmly in her grace in the sky. Her glory brought light upon the city, but she did not bring torturous winds.

Khalfani hoped that the man would hurry as quickly as he could to bring the dagger back. He wasn't expecting to use it any time soon but he did want to get out of this city as quickly as possible. Finally, after about half an hour the shop owner came rushing back to the front "It's done!" the man shouted. Khalfani turned immediately before shuffling over towards the man and grabbing the dagger. There it was in all its glory in its full form it looked like a weapon unlike any others. Khalfani took the dagger with a smile before turning to the man and paying him handsomely. "Thank you." Khalfani said as the man nodded. Khalfani then tucked the blade away before walking out of the shop. Suddenly, something unexpected happened. A large roar came from about one hundred meters away. The spell sword turned to face it only to see a man rushing through the rain.

His feet slapped down on the puddles of water beneath him as he grew out of breath. The Rogue Prince raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "Please, sir! You look like you can help. There's a monster! He killed everyone, everyones dead! I-I- everyones dead, it killed everyone!" Khalfani sighed. He placed his hand on the mans shoulder to calm him before tapping his helmet and allowing its full form to encase his entire head. "Where?" Khal asked. The man pointed in the direction he came from as another large bellow swallowed the streets. "Stay here." Khalfani said. He had his shield on his back and now his put-together-dagger on his waist, this would be over in a jiffy, he thought. The Gorgon shield may not even be needed now that he had his weapon. Khalfani tapped his chest as black dragon wings formed from the magic circle on his back.

The man in need of helped staggered back, watching as the wings flapped and lifted him into the air. The fight was on. Whatever this monster was would face the wrath of the sun eater, the vessel of Apep himself. The panther zoomed towards the direction the man pointed in, traveling fas enough to leave gusts of wind blowing dirt and dust around. As Khalfani approached his eyes widened under his mask. Rune Knights had already been handling the monster, but from the looks of it they were getting their asses handed to them. The prince scoffed at the thought of working alongside them for this fight, but it was funny how things worked. Khal wanted to turn himself in and if he kept just a few knights alive they would recognize him and do just that. The former Eternal Nightmare mage stopped about 25 meters away before swinging their arm diagonally, causing a golden magic circle to appear directly in front of him.

Once his arm stopped by his waist, a slash of light magical energy would course threw the air, slicing the beast directly across his chest. The beast stumbled back and roared. The Rune Knights turned their heads to see who had been their savior. Two squads on each side of the beast had been trying to fight back as best as they could, but their weak shields, swords and whatever magic they had was not nearly enough. However, it seemed like the beast was in a state of rage. It hadn't even averted its attention to the dragon slayer. Enough magic, he thought as he soared towards the monster entering the fray at close range. The spell sword shouted at the Rune Knights to back away. They were hesitant at first considering they had known Khalfani to be fairly infamous. His reputation affirmed that he was not allied to the government or the king.

Still, the knights understood that they couldn't handle such a monster. After a second of pondering they made way. The beast swung his arm at Khalfani who simply flew round him like a fly and sliced the back of his neck. It didn't cut deep enough. The slayer flew around to the other side and did the same. He continued to fly around like a be, cutting, slicing and stabbing the beast as the monster tried to keep up, but he was no match for Khalfani in terms of speed. As Khalfani moved to his back once more, the beast seemingly anticipated it, swinging his arm behind him and swatting the panther into a home causing him to crash into the room of some random holding each other in fear of the monster outside of their brownstone home. "My bad." Khalfani said to the couple before flying forward again. "Alright. Let's end this shit right now." He said under his breath.

With another charge forward, he grabbed his shield from his back and aimed it at the beasts face. The eyes of both the face and the snakes of Medusas head glowed before the beast became frozen in place. The panther canceled his flight spell. Once he landed on his feet he moved forward towards the beast, jumped towards its neck and sliced it clean across. The petrified spell broke and the blood of the beast poured from the slit upon its throat before it fell back. Gurgling on its blood. When it came to using his Gorgon shield, his best bet was hitting a vital point and killing his opponents immediately. When all was said and done, Khalfani turned to the Rune Knights, tapping his mask and revealing his face. Now that the monster was dead, all that was left to do was let the Knights take him in. If they even could, that is. They were stunned from what had just occurred.
