Jikan

The slime shooter game was a success! And with pumpin pop won as a reward, the red and black haired enchantress went on her way. Off to do more games for her amusement and hopfully relaxation. She doubted she would get upset if she failed at a game, unless it was tedious for no reason. But if she did it was no big deal in the grand scheme of the day, seeing odd things, a few distractions of entertainment, and a few games would be good. Win or lose, although she most definetly hoped she would win, and hopefully luck would be on her side like her first game.

Not far from that slime shooter game though was there another game, one that was...gross. Eyeballs. She had heard bobbing for apples, but never eyes! It was a gross thought when she went over to the skeleton at that stand, and she almost turned away from when she saw it. But...they looked like eyes, but did not feel like eyes when she looked at them closer. And it was gross to try and she did, thankfully the first one she was able to get was not an eye. It made going for the rest easier.

Poropo Poproporp
The last game allowed Poropo to escape unharmed, and the next game seemed to be completely harmless as well. Although, the method by which all these games were being played continued to send shivers down the pumpkin-costumed Poropo - this skeeball game did not use ball, instead using the skull of the attending skeleton! Poropo was handed the skull of the attendant and told to roll the skull into the only hole which scored points. Get points and get a candy - the game was simple but obviously extremely difficult because, "you are a skull, not a ball - a ball is round and easier to roll while a skull is-"

"Are you making fun of me! I have a perfectly smooth scalp! Just roll me, loser!" The skeleton did not appreciate being called 'not round' by the monk, more or less - the monk was attempting to explain how oddly difficult all this and the other games were so far, but the skeletons seemed to have much pride. Samhain was a place to play games, not to have fun - this thought seeped into everything this place had to offer, especially the games! The people of Samhain did seem friendly to each other, but outsiders seemed to be treated as if they were targets for spooking. The monk wanted to get away so he just rolled the skull down the curved lane.

Dáinn
Deciding not to try out the haunted house area just yet, and still wanting to get a feel of this strange town that showed up out of nowhere, Dáinn made his way towards one of the game stalls that seemed to be littering certain areas of this town. Glancing at his first conquest of this hallowed illusion of what he has determined as a strange but wonderous dream, Dáinn nodded towards the stall owner, waving his hand to the game as if to ask how he should go about achieving the win. "One who isn't for words I see, I shall humour you silent child." Receiving a firm nod the skeleton continued. "All one must do, is roll my head into one of the holes in front of us, and if you win I shall hand you a prize." Blinking Dáinn tilted his head. "And if I loose?" The skeleton was silent as they removed their head and handed it to Dáinn who in return glanced down at them. "That is for this one to know, and the silent child to find out." A final nod, and began his objective to win the game, as he calmly threw the skull onto the layout, hoping that he would win, but if not then well, it was fun trying.

Tempris

Tempris was feeling exceptionally disappointed. First she bobbed her head in yucky cold heretical liquid to grab stupid eye balls and failed, then she tried to shoot some slimes with a pop gun and despite her best efforts, did not shoot enough to win a prize. She was fuming ready to purge the whole stand in holy flames but Emerl managed to distract her long enough to settle down with her excitement. Even though, she did not win, she though it was awesome that Tempris managed to hit any of the slimes.
"They where moving so fast big sis. And you still managed to hit 3 of them."
"Yeah... i suppose so... but I didn't win."
"yeah... after you hit the third one, I saw the bone man push a button. He probably messed with the game..."
Tempris eyes glowed with fire, figuratively, "I knew something was off. That sinner."
"Oh Big sis look. Another game. You should play it."

Tempris was then yanked to a new game that the skeleton called skeeball. Tempris eyed the game. It wasn't too complicated, though she did not like the idea of holding another creatures head. She did however enjoy throwing the head down the lane.

Samhain Game: Skull Skeeball Empty Wed Oct 20, 2021 2:47 pm

Atani

A haunted house. That was another thing unique to mainland Fiore that the Wood Elves lacked in Athalran. Now, that's not to say there weren't rumors of homes being haunted where she came from. She wouldn't be surprised if that was a near-universal thing to exist across the continent. They were interesting in their own right, but in the moment, Atani found Samhain's haunted house attraction to be far more interesting than any haunted house she's heard of.

Despite both kinds of place being called the same thing, haunted houses set up for carnivals were engineered to scare tourists, but not in an actual life threatening way. In a fun way! No real ghosts, just ghastly illusions. No real bloody knives, just props. For whatever reason, she guessed humans here liked to be scared for fun? Well, it posed no threat to their safety, so there truly was no issue with it, but still...

Oh, no matter. She'd just have to see herself what all the hype was about. But strangely enough, the first thing she encountered in the haunted house wasn't scary at all. She had walked into yet another area full of games. How odd.

Atani picked up a skull and watched the other players beside her. So this was skeeball, huh? Might as well give it a whirl.

Samhain Game: Skull Skeeball Empty Wed Oct 20, 2021 9:25 pm

Jin Tatsumi
Finally, it was something a little less....gross. The light mage rolled his shoulders and made his way to the front of the line at the skull ball game. The skeleton juggled his head and bounced it back and forth, putting on a bit of fan fare before the contest. The skeleton let his head roll down his boney arm and plop into Jin's hands. The light mage rubbed the skull for good luck but shrieked as the teeth chattered. and then laughed at his reaction. The mage juggled the head now, out of freight more than fun. When his nerves settled, he stood forward and faced the machine with multiple holes that the skull could fit into. He braced himself and brought back his arm. The center was the most points, but maybe it was better to play it safe for this one.

The light mage reared back his arm and let the skull roll. The skull bounced from one side to the other and slid beneath the plexy glass. It bounced off of one hole and then the next. He put too much power into it for such a meager game. The skull bounced back down and fell into one of the bigger holes on the side.

Hassan

Down on his luck with wet pants, Hassan wandered around in order to look for another game that he could play. Even though Hassan felt a little embarrassed, what were the odds of being able to get another chance to play those games if he didn't play them. Who knew? Maybe he would be able to win some if he was lucky enough. Besides that, this game that he saw was a little unique. The skeleton was offering Hassan its head in order to roll it through. "Hmm...so what you are trying to tell me is to use your head in order to roll into one of the holes in the curved lane?" Certain carnivals had this game and this was the first time that Hassan had to play a game with a body part of one of the people hosting them.

"Creepy..."

Taking the head and trying to measure the distance between him and the goals, Hassan would ready himself into throwing the head over to the lane. In a sense, Hassan was just going to play and head on out to the next station. Dwelling on whether he won or not was a waste of time for the man.

Klaus
Only one of the two games he played resulted in a win. So far, the win-loss ratio has been reasonable. It's not great, but it's also not terrible, and there's room for improvement. The issue was that there weren't a great deal of games left to play. Klaus was able to count up to eight remaining games after a quick glance around the place. When he counted his pumpkin pops too, he realized he only needed 6 more to win the big prize, but given his track record of games, he wasn't sure if luck would be on his side or against him.

There was only one way to find out. As Klaus approached yet another game booth, one of the skeletons he had begun to enjoy interacting with presented him with... a head. Not just any head; the skeleton essentially popped out his own and handed it to Klaus. This booth appeared to be all about rolling a skull to victory. Certainly, it sounded fun. Klaus noticed a curved lane in front of him, and the goal of the game was to get the skull into one of the holes at the end. That's why Klaus decided to roll before the skeleton had even finished speaking. In fact, as his head rolled down the lane, the skeleton continued to explain the game.

Odin †

Another loss, as the timer ran out and the clown appeared from seemingly nowhere, spraying Odin in water before disappearing just as suddenly, despite the Lich's attempts to grab him and kill him. The game masters of Samhain held a kind of power even Odin didn't fully understand, but all he did know for certain is that he was losing all the game thus far, and he really needed to change that. He didn't have time to complete any of the other objectives in Samhain, and yet it was seeming more and more likely that he would have to do them. Was it exciting? Perhaps. Was it annoying? Fucking yes.

Final game in the Haunted House, as each location seemed to only have two games instead of three. Maybe they had removed every game that Odin had been successful in last year, and now he was left with the ones that were just made to piss him off. Regardless he moved to the game and took the skull from the skeleton, deciding that using his own would likely give an unfair advantage and he would be disqualified. He was already at a loss, there was no point in making it worse for himself.
