Tempris was sitting around in her room when she received a letter that was delivered from by a guild assistant. Tempris was a bit confused as lately, they have been giving her jobs regarding dealing with kidnappers. However, after saving that group of children, they have not given her any new jobs. So she been spending her time visiting the kids and well, watching over them in her spare time. Most of the time it was from afar but every once in a while she would actual talk to them... with someone else in the room. The guild still did not trust her but it was fine. She did not really want to be a babysitter for a bunch of sinful brats... though... that did not mean she could not tolerate their company. In fact, there were very few times where she was even upset around them. After all, they some of the only people who did not look at her funny or ironically... treat her like a kid... who was dangerous... or a monster.

But that was not what was important. What was important was that she had a mission in Dahlia and well, it was something a little more holy.

On unholy lands, the small girl stood on the scene of a blood soaked crime. The widow of the victim was still bawling their eyes out. Tempris did not interact with the woman. There was no point at this time. She did not know the situation and she did not want to make a promise in the name of Illumin that shouldn't keep or wasn't prepared for. No, all she could do was take care of the root of the problem. It was time to purge.

Tempris was was given heads up when she accepted the assignment. It was suppose to be werewolves. Tempris was a bit surprised. She has met both werewolves and vampires in her short time serving but never has she seen a "dangerous" werewolf. Well, maybe that was not true. Memories of Rinni slamming into her at that tavern that one time bubbled up but they were not cold.

The memories were not warm but they definitely were not cold. It was funny because, she still held that memory as precious. With nobody around, she could be more honest with herself... It was here that a forest which was known to home these uncontrollable heretics. It was here which Tempris would light her camp fire.

Tempris entered the forest. It was darker due to how close the trees were. She immediately pulled out her sword, using it more like a torch. If she was going to find anything, she at least needed to be able to see it. It really sucked that she could not do this more stealthily. At the same time though, maybe she could of used this as a way to draw out the sinful creatures. After all, if they were wild or had no mind... then they would see her as a threat and just attack. It would probably save her a lot of time to. With a smile on her face, she immediately started shouting. She challenged the wolves to try and eat her. She called them cowards for attacking people in this darkness. She labeled them weak for needing to gang up on the poor unfortunate souls. Then there was a loud howl.

The sound of snapping branches, crushing leaves, claws on bark and stone roared thought he air. Barking, growing, and grunts followed these noises. Tempris could only smile. Of course they accepted this challenge. They were not very smart creatures. No sinner was in the eyes of the lord. Unlike a normal wolf, the girl was sure these poor creatures were sinners. They were sinful beings were at one point or another in control Even if they were born a werewolf, sin was allowed to corrupt their existence. There was a cure, a solution to this growing issue. That was a baptism of fire.

Tempris held out her hand with her shield attached and then she snapped. A magic circle surrounded her and then white and blue holy flames burst from her setting everything around her on fire and revealing the wolves around her. Tempris's eyes bounced between each of them.

There was a total of 5 wolves. All whining afraid of suddenly being on fire. Tempris started laughing before slamming her sword into the ground. This was perfect. A nice number. She was sure it was going to take a small bit to help all these poor unfortunate souls and she was going to enjoy every minute... no... every single second. She dashed forward, knocking down trees with her shield before impaling one of the wolves in the chest. It howled not from pain but as a warning. It was not ready and now each of the wolves realized their role in this. For Tempris was not the prey among the wild. She was the apex predator and she hungered for the sheep around her. A wild wolf charged her and Tempris was not ready to attack yet. The wolf on her sword was still being consume by the flame.

So she held out her shield and let the creature slam against it. In a normal situation, Tempris could handle such force, but with the weight of the full grown wolf on her sword, she could not brace herself and thus she was knocked down. The wolf on her sword broke free, still alive and kicking and now Tempris was on the ground. She tried to pick herself up but one of the wolves ran up to her and kicked in the stomach, something she could not react to because of all the chaos. She flew into the air and hit a tree. It hurt, but it at least got her off the ground. The girl Impaled her sword into the ground to help keep her on her feet. Then she looked up to see the two wolves charging her still on fire. The girl grinned. This was going to be a little annoying...

Tempris held out her shield and well... braced for impact. The werewolves slammed into her shield. Tempris released her sword and doubled down on blocking the blow. Then she swung her shield and gave a battle cry. With all her strength, she managed to knock down both wolves. Then she pulled her sword out of the ground and slammed it down. Flames erupted from the blade as it hit the ground. She missed... well sort of. Before her, two wolves were hunched and growling at her, but one of the wolves was missing something. The girl could see it, being devoured by the holy flames. It's arm was gone. Now she managed to injure two of the beast. She was not sure where the other three were but hey, she was making progress. It would have been nice though if she had some sort of assistance though. Give vs one was not so fun.

Especially when the opponent was this strong and bulky. Everyone Tempris has fought has been much bigger than her. However, she never fought something this big. It had to be like over 2 meters tall. They were large and full of mass. Not a piece of fat in their body. Everything was pure heretic muscle. The girl let out her own roar with a bloodthirsty smile. Then she charged forward. Trying to impale the first wolf she injured which was standing on the left... Tempris's left. It had to be the weakest as it took the most damage. It would not let her get it so easily. Another wolf jumped out of the fire and tackled Tempris. They both went tumbling. Tempris could feel claws pierce into her skin but the wolf could feel Tempris's feet dig into its chest. Using the momentum from the spin, Tempris kicked the wolf off of her and into a tree behind her.

Tempris rolled to her feet. Meanwhile, the wolf that flew behind her into a tree was whelping as it bounced off the trunk and hit the ground. Now Tempris was once again without her sword. She had her magic, but these wolves seemed to be very resilient to her magic. Nothing has survived being completely impaled by her sword. The only reason she believed the arm disappeared so fast was because it was severed from the magic source that fueled the Werewolf transformation. With her sword lying on the ground several feet away. Tempris had to make a tough choice. Should she go hand to claw or go for her sword. A deafen howl sent the girl into a mad dash towards her weapon. Her eyes darted around looking for any potential surprise attacks. Only, it would not be a surprise attack that stopped her. No, it would be a wolf that jumped in front of her sword.

Tempris stopped and squad. Then she jumped in the air summersaulted over the wolf. Her plan was to land behind it, pick up her sword, then start cleaving away. However the wolf would bat its claw at her as she was moving above it's head. Tempris was able to move her shield in position in order to avoid the attack. Well technically it was blocking the attack but never the less. She survived but it messed up her trajectory and she ended up falling into a tumble and landing away from her sword. She thought it was cute how these creatures were trying to keep her away from the weapon. It was just the validation she needed to prove it was the right choice for her to retrieve it. After all, with all the effort she was putting in to get through them, she was going to cherish purging their souls from their sin.

Tempris charged forward. This time she was going on the offensive. She leaped into the air and dove at the wolf with a flying kick. This slammed into the wolf which she then use the recoil force to jump back into the air and do a quick flip. Then she landed in front of her weapon. She picked up her weapon and watch the weapon go ablaze again. She was ready for combat. She dashed at the closest wolf and swung horizontally, cleaving the creature in half. Another wolf dashed behind her ready to strike but Tempris was ready, She pulled up her shield and then counter attacked with her sword slicing the creature in half, vertically. Another wolf jumped above her while another wolf seemed to be going for a lower attack. Tempris jumped back and watched the two creatures crash into each other. Then she Slammed her weapon into both of them, setting them both ablaze.

Finally, there was one wolf left. One more sinner to be purge and the poor lost soul would be freed from its torture. Also you know, the quest would be completed but this was more than a quest. It was saving the world. It was helping those who where suffering. It was enacting the will of Illumin. With a blood curdling laugh. Tempris rushed over to the last wolf. Her sword grinded along the ground setting everything behind her ablaze. The land was purified of its sin just like this creature would be. There was no fear, no since of remorse. There was only bloodlust. There was only mania. The wolf knew this. It could see its death just like all the other piles of ash it would soon become one. Tempris struck and it was gone. The quest was completed. Tempris returned back person who gave her the assignment and reported her work completed. She was given her reward and the girl left the area.
