Odin †

The ring was equipped and Lucas stepped out of the inn into Hargeon. He made his way through the crowds of Hargeon, not getting so much as a second glance -and if he did, it was because of his attractiveness. It was something that Odin, having been a Lich for so many years, still hadn't gotten used to. He was, as far as the people of Hargeon could tell, a completely normal guy, and that was something he never took for granted. Lucas had a life that Odin could have never imagined and the Lich had to admit, he enjoyed it. He wasn't going to live as Lucas for the remainder of his days but, for now at least, he enjoyed the calmness of his world.

He had reserved for himself a table at the renowned Sardinia Restaurant, famous for its freshly caught and delicious seafood. Lucas hadn't eaten much seafood in his life and unfortunately he wouldn't be able to change that today. Instead, he was here for work, or for something. He wasn't really sure. But he knew one thing: how to begin today's interesting adventure. It was maybe a bit cliché, but he couldn't help it. Odin loved mystery.

"Do you have a booking with us, today sir?"

"Yes I do."

"Can I have the name of the table booking please sir?"

"Keyser Söze"

Here we go.

Mysterious Merchant

"Interesting, another customer has found me," the Mysterious Merchant said as the door opened. It wasn't easy to find him. "See anything that you would like to purchase?" With a hint of excitement, the Mysterious Merchant inquired about your intentions as he gracefully moved his hand from left to right. There were no wares there before, but as the Mysterious Merchant moved his hand through the air they became visible. Floating in the air between the two of you, a whole range of items could suddenly be seen. They were safely stored in a pocket-space and were merely being temporarily projected to showcase his catalogue. Where did this Mysterious Merchant acquire these items from? Each and every single item presented in this shop was highly unique. "If something catches your eye, the description will appear naturally next to the item," the Mysterious Merchant exclaimed playfully.

Capes:

  • Heracles' Nemean Mantle (2,500,000J) – Long ago, Heracles slayed the Nemean Lion as one of his twelve labours in Seven. It could not be killed with mortals' weapons because its golden fur was impervious to attack. Its claws were sharper than mortals' swords and could cut through any armor. Upon wearing the mantle made out of the Nemean Lion's fur, the user feels a great increase in their physical prowess.

Weapon:

  • Icarus' Damocles (2,500,000J) – A magical sword once wielded by the previous King's Sword, Icarus. The sword became infamous for slaying the Cesare, the Master of Phantom Lord, Lance, the Master of Blue Pegasus, and Aguero, the Master of Lamia Scale. Damocles only gained fame after Icarus sacrificed his life to save the Kingdom of Fiore when the first Abyssal Rifts opened. The sword's power lies in the fact that it has not a specific element, but rather changes instantly upon impact with anything else. The sword's element always changes into the element which is dominant against whatever it clashes with.

Modification:

  • Ferion's Hawken Eye (2,500,000J) – A single eye from a wood elven hero which has been stored perfectly inside a magical jar. The eye can be placed into someone's socket in order to obtain certain feats.
  • Rhaeduil's Copy Eye (2,500,000J) – A single eye from a high elven sorcerer which has been stored perfectly inside a magical jar. The eye can be placed into someone's socket in order to obtain certain feats.
  • Dhan-Galhoul's White Eye (2,500,000J) – A single eye from a dark elven raider which has been stored perfectly inside a magical jar. The eye can be placed into someone's socket in order to obtain certain feats.
  • Illadriel's Justicar Eye (2,500,000J) – A single eye from a seraphim which has been stored perfectly inside a magical jar. The eye can be placed into someone's socket in order to obtain certain feats.
  • Berial's Demon Bringer (2,500,000J) – Demon Bringers are a reptillian-esque claw which extends up to the elbow or shoulder. It is the manifestation of a Demon's soul or power. Its appearance is constantly visible, because the Demon Bringer takes over the arm of the user. This arm can do feats of supernatural strength and durability. Furthermore, spells cast through the Demon Bringer arm cost double in mana but are also double in power. Should the user get accustomed to the Demon Bringer, they will be able use another feat.

Potions:

  • Mana Sprite’s Essence (2,000,000J) – A highly rare potion which increases someone’s mana upon drinking it completely (500 MP).
  • Aether Sprite's Essence (2,000,000J) – A highly rare potion which increases someone’s overall experience upon drinking it completely (50,000 XP).
  • Bastion's Mighty Essence (1,000,000J) – A highly rare potion which increases someone’s strength upon drinking it completely (25 Strength).
  • Aguila's Nimble Essence (1,000,000J) – A highly rare potion which increases someone’s speed upon drinking it completely (25 Speed).
  • Dracul's Eternal Essence (1,000,000J) – A highly rare potion which increases someone’s constitution upon drinking it completely (25 Constitution).
  • Mithra's Soulless Essence (1,000,000J) – A highly rare potion which increases someone’s endurance upon drinking it completely (25 Endurance).
  • Qilad's Brilliant Essence (1,000,000J) – A highly rare potion which increases someone’s intelligence upon drinking it completely (25 Intelligence).

Other:

  • Tal-Rasha's Skeleton Key (2,000,000J) – The owner of Tal-Rasha's Skeleton Key can traverse anywhere they have been before as long there is a door. When this key is inserted into any door with a keyhole, the door becomes a portal to any other door in the world that the user can clearly visualize. The user of the key must have seen a door in the location they wish to travel and they must have already visited what is behind that door.

Egg:

  • Mysterious Egg (-) – A mysterious egg. It is uncertain what will hatch out of the egg, but it could be something interesting. This item is currently unavailable.

Scrolls:

  • Mysterious Merchant’s Salutations (1,000,000J) – The next time the mysterious merchant appears somewhere, the user can instantly enter the topic without leaving their existing topics.
  • Mysterious Merchant’s Mercantilism (1,000,000J) – The next time the user visits the mysterious merchant, they will be allowed to do two purchases instead of one.

Odin †

Lucas watched as the door before him opened, revealing an intriguing humanoid who's entire body was covered, except for two glowing, yellow orbs for eyes. He, although it could've just as easily been a she, was a strange creature, but it appeared friendly enough to Lucas. The mage wasn't too concerned by it, as he had met so many other strange creatures. Hell, he was one himself.

As he looked around the empty room, the mysterious merchant began to move his hands. Suddenly, many wondrous items came into focus. All sorts of things. There was a cape, a sword, multiple eyes -which was an odd choice to Odin, and then loads of other things. As the Fairy Tail mage approached them, descriptions of each item began to appear next to them. Some of them were fairly simple: powerful potions, a scroll to locate the merchant when next he appeared in Fiore, a key which allowed for instantaneous travel. However, there were then some more interesting descriptions.

Odin moved through all of them, reading and memorising their abilities in case he ever encountered them again. But he stopped on one, the blade. Damocles. Wielded by Icarus, second in command to Arthurias and commander of Grimoire Heart. A powerful blade which called to Odin, as a former member. He was almost tempted to reach out and take it, but there was something else that was too strong to pass up. Rhaeduil's Copy Eye, which allowed the user to copy spells used by someone else. If held by Lucas, it would perfect his disguise. He would be able to wield magic, completely different to Odin, and would never be under suspicion.

"I'll take the Copy Eye please."

"I would normally ask for the price and one of your eyes in return, but that wouldn't make much sense this time, right?" The Mysterious Merchant hinted with a gleeful smile on his face, indicating that he could see through Odin's disguise. "Nonetheless, I do need you to tell me in which socket you would like to receive Rhaeduil's Copy Eye." Without delay, the Mysterious Merchant made the magical jar appear in the palm of his left hand. Once Odin would select in which socket he would like to receive the eye, the transaction would be completed. "Oh, and could you move a few steps to the right? Someone is coming."

#5Kazimir Seiryu

Kazimir Seiryu
Kaz was wandering the halls of his guild when a strange feeling resonated from the pocket of his jacket. Pulling it out, it was the ticket he purchased from that strange merchant. It bore writing in an incomprehensible language and began to glow faintly. As if it had a mind of its own, it wiggled in his hand until it broke free and hung the air for but a moment before turning into a portal.

With a nod, the wind mage stepped into the gate and appeared in a dimly lit room. The illumination came from the floating magical items and the glowing eyes of the merchant. Kazimir smiled and nodded at the being, "A pleasure to be back here," he said as he stepped forward and looked at the wares that were now available.

There was one other in the shop now. Next to the wind mage was a face or lack thereof that he had not seen in a long time. The lich...Odin, only this time he wore garb different than before. The mage narrowed his eyes at the skeletal figure, and knew now was not the time nor the place. He gave the lich a nod and moved on.

Pacing back and forth it was not long before he glanced over a series of eyes. There was one empty space, no doubt where the one Odin had taken was resting. But The mage's eyes came to another. The eye of seraphim. It seemed he could not escape his fate no matter where he wandered. Quickly reading the description he knew it was the trade-off he needed to have.

"The eye of a seraphim...I'll take it,"
he said pointing at the one he wanted. With a deep breath, he continued, "An eye for an eye I presume. It will be my left." With that he made his decision and awaited the merchant's response and whatever ritual would need to take place to seal the deal.

Once the eye would go in, he would blink a few times to adjust to it and look at his hands. Everything seemed to be in order and fitting well.

Odin †

The merchant responded to Odin instantly stating that, while usually he would need someone to sacrifice and eye, obviously it would not be necessary for Odin. The Lich laughed, removing the ring on his finger to show his skeletal form as he replied to the merchant, "Ahh, well I guess put it into my left socket. And here is the required money." Fishing into his pockets Odin, feeling much more like himself now, would hand over two and a half million jewels to the creature, before stepping aside for the newcomer.

It was Kazimir, the wind mage who Odin had met quite a while ago by now. From what the Lich had heard, he was now a guild master, having taken many of the former Rune Knights with him after they had disbanded. "Long time, Kazimir." Odin would then leave him to choose whatever he wanted, noting where he moved and what he chose.

After a while, he would go for another one of the eyes, the one that granted its wearer the power of negation. Odin needed to make sure he remembered that, as he was sure Kazimir would one day become someone to be dealt with. Odin was just glad he had taken his ring off, as he didn't want to risk Kazimir seeing his new form, regardless of whether he could see through it.

Copy Eye, Left Socket please

"Excellent choice," the Mysterious Merchant cheered. Swiftly, without touching his customer, he exchanged the eye in the jar with Kazimir's left eye. "I could still flip this Nephilim's eye for something." This customer was fast and immediately knew what he wanted. It happened from time to time. The Mysterious Merchant appreciated those customers the most, because he did not like unnecessary interactions.

"And you, sir. Also in the left socket!" Once again, the Mysterious Merchant magically embedded the eye into the customer. This time, however, he received nothing in return. Such was life. Nothing to do about it. At least, nothing that the Mysterious Merchant intended to do about it right now. "Take care," the Mysterious Merchant said loudly as he disappeared into thin air.
