New D-Rank Get! Empty on Sat Nov 14, 2020 9:08 am

Sia
Name: Darklight's Embrace
Rank: D
Mana Cost: 25
Requirements: Line of sight on the target light source in question.
Type: Supplementary
Element: Darkness
Range: 5 Meters
Cooldown: 0 Posts
Duration: Instant/Sustain
Effect: After forming the necessary glyphs and pointing at a target within range, a lark made of darkness will shoot forth, attempting to extinguish an existing light source (or causing a new one to ignite) and replace it with /produce  a ball of shadefire, a dark, washed out light source that does not burn but rather feels cold and wretched to the touch, casting dimly lit shadows into the area at the same range as a normal light source would have, yet the flame itself is a dark purple, black, and dark blue in color. These flames cannot cause any real damage unless one happens to sustain contact for some time, instead being meant to provide a light source, albeit washed out and devoid of all but the brightest of colors. If this spell is cast on a lantern with a coal or bit of oil in it, it will be able to burn for a week without needing any further assistance, the washed out light it emits and the magic used to cast the spell requiring it to use much fuel to keep it going much longer than that of a normal flame.

Intending to train, posted to buy a d-rank spell slot scroll

Masami
Hello, I'll be reviewing this spell.

  • Please increase the cooldown to 1 Post, the 'Duration:' to 'Sustain,' and you may only have one projectile active for a D-Rank spell, so multiple "flames" will be denied. In that case, state that the flame is able to provide light source that is around 1-meter in diameter of it, following the AoE guidelines. Lastly, state your magic's name in the 'Requirements:' section.

Bump when changes have been made.
