Masami
A piece of Masami felt that he was getting out of this maze quicker than he'd expect... but maybe not? Don't get the hopes up, Lady Luck is allergic to them. Masami proceeded on going to the left corners this time, even if ultimately, he doesn't know where he's going and where he is at. The sky didn't help, either—looking upwards feel like looking at a painting stationed at the ceiling, following the user whenever they go. He continued to walk with no stop, the Minotau is still yet to be seen, too. That was a fortunate thing, isn't it?

Alisa

At this rate she was going to be here a while. Alisa clicked her tongue once more. She wasn't really getting anywhere was she? She had some semblance of an idea where she was, enough that she could turn back a few paces and find her way around, but she wasn't really making any progress either, just waltzing around in circles and still getting nowhere. The heat from the volano above them kept her skin flushed until she could only fan herself more often than not, doing what she could to find the way.

Masami
"Where the hell am I? Haha." Masami couldn't help but chuckle to himself. A part of him knew that he was getting closer but... where's the logic in that? He continued going through the right corners, just like earlier, and then maybe he'd go to the left corners after he was tired? Still no Minotaur in sight, so that was a good thing... what did they even look like? Masami has never seen a Minotaur, actually, except for Joyan oxen in the scriptures, but Masami has never seen those before, too. Likewise, he took a deep breath and moved to the right, as he planned.

Alisa

Finally, some semblance of progress. If she could hold on to it, she at least could see herself getting out of this maze sometime soon. Would it even be fast enough? Hopefully. That wouldn't really stop her from trying, after all, the moment they got both pulled out of the maze once more, even if it meant they loser would be dropped back down into the volcano... That meant she still had time, that her opponent hadn't won yet. So Alisa kept her pace going, seeing if she could find her way around.

Masami
No use; even if Masami tried hopping, he was too small to see what was above the hedges. Just a tiny glimpse... even just the teeny-tiniest one, please? He'd turn into a rabbit at this point. Better not—better not continue, otherwise that fantasy will turn into the reality. As he promised himself, he started to turn over to the left corners this time, telling himself that he shouldn't run into the Minotaur, nor the woman as well. That would be bad, very bad, were they meant to go separately? He didn't stop walking after those few hops, not knowing whether to hope or not.

#112Island Master

Tenth Game - Survivor (Finale) - Page 5 Empty on Sun Aug 30, 2020 8:57 am

Island Master

While the Survivors had the same memories and appearances as their original counterparts, they were not the same. The Survivors on the Island were in fact creatures composed out of Ethernano. Upon perishing, the strongest Ethernano beings would return to their original counterparts while the weaker ones would fade away entirely. They were all considered failures by the Master. Only the last surviving being would be able to ascend while releasing most of the Ethernano from their counterpart. In order to trigger one of them into ascension, the Master needed to create the right conditions such as forcing them to face death countless times in a row. With each game, the beings were pushed to ascend by the Master. Now, with the games completed, one of them had finally ascended.

As the last Survivor came out of the exit of the maze, he was no longer the same. He was no longer a copy of his counterpart. He had ascended into something greater. Something that could leave the Island.

"Welcome, Mae.," the Master said cheerfully. Masami's Ethernano had mostly disappeared from Mae's body and returned to the original Masami, while the twisted and newly composed Ethernano that was accumulated on the island remained in Mae. The original Masami was going to remember the events of Island in a dream, however, since he was never here in the first place, he would never be sure if it happened or not. Such was also the case for the other Survivors that made it to the final seven. Masami's dream would end with him walking through the exit of the maze because the one walking out of the exit was no longer Masami.

The Master extended his hand towards Mae for him to hold it and follow him.

Mae
Masa- no, he was not Masami. As he walked out of the exit, he began to doubt himself. The memories were there, but he realized that they were not his own memories. He carefully observed his fingers and hands to find out what had happened. Suddenly, he heard a voice calling out to him. Mae? He liked the sound of that. Mae. Mae then realized that the Master was holding out his hand to him, so he quickly ran over and held it tightly. So this was what it felt like to born anew, he thought as he disappeared with the Master.
