Island Master

I'm a survivor, I'm not gon' give up
I'm not gon' stop, I'm gon' work harder
I'm a survivor, I'm gonna make it
I will survive, keep on survivin'

Tenth Game: Survivor (Finals)

With all Hawks slain, the finals on Survivor Island turned into a battle between a Raven and Vulture. The Master had summoned them to one of the beaches on Survivor Island to begin the next challenge. As he summoned them here, he replenished their vitality to allow them to perform at their best. With a snap of his fingers, he showed them the checkpoints in their minds. The images repeated themselves faster and faster until it stopped.

"Good luck," the Master said as he started the final game.

Pt. 1

Run towards the bay as fast as possible. Roll one dice representing Speed.

Pt. 2

Grab a boat and sail it towards one of the floating rafts far away. Roll two dice representing Strength and Endurance.

Pt. 3

Solve the puzzle on the raft to unlock the chest and get the key. Roll one dice representing Intelligence.

Pt. 4

Sail back towards the bay. Roll two dice representing Strength and Endurance.

Pt. 5

Dive through the tunnel located underneath the bay to reach a secluded cove. Use the key to open the gate in the tunnel. Since there are multiple locks, the user must find out which lock opens the gates. Roll two dice representing Constitution and Intelligence.

Pt. 6

Climb the rope hanging in the cove to get out of there. Roll one dice representing Strength.

Pt. 7

Run through the jungle towards the volcano. Roll one dice representing Speed.

Pt. 8

Climb the volcano to reach the top. Roll three dice representing Strength, Speed and Constitution.

Pt. 9

Ring the bell at the top of the volcano. After ringing the bell, jump inside the volcano. Roll four dice representing Courage.

Details: Each roll must be done in a separate post based on each phase of the game. There is no specific timer, however, 24 hours is a guideline per phase. This means that it would be great if both participants completed one of the nine parts per day and not 24 hours after each other. Extra time is taken into the calculation as penalty points for the Survivor. Do note that the post must clearly describe the events taking place during that phase. You can also die by describing the wrong events in your post.

Timer:
24 hours per phase~

Masami
Things started to look more like a battle rather than a survival game. Apparently, the 'Master' was kind enough to greet Masami his good luck charm, hopefully that would help—with the use of magic, Masami's energy was rejuvenated, and all of the pains that he had felt through the past games had completely disappeared. No more bruises or wounds, not even the slightest—in a span of seconds, the checkpoints were revealed, and perhaps the same goes to Masami's opponent, whom he dared not to look at. He ran towards the bay, not remembering if there was a signal for it, but he ran as fast as he can. Nine phases, and the first one has just started.

Alisa

Tch... It sure felt wierdly unpleasant to have somebody greeting her so cordially after killing so many of her friends in his games, but at this point, there was nothing she could do about that. As his magic invigorated them, Alisa rolled her wrists and stretched her limbs. She'd either die here or live to hopefully get off this rock, and find out who the island master really was. It really came down to do or die as against all odds, she and the young male next to her had survived everything this island threw against them and then more. So when the game started, she ran, sprinting at full speed towards the bay.

Ah, so it was a race all along. Masami was getting a hang of it, but what would happen to the rest of his friends who had died along the way? Upon reaching the next checkpoint, he immediately grabbed a boat, fortunately he still knew how to use these. He sailed towards the floating rafts afar, doing exactly what was shown in the vision that was given to him. He still tried even if the boat was too big for him. 'Looks like they forgot that they sent a kid to play in the game.' thought Masami in his head, slightly complaining. Rowing the boat was starting to get harder and harder for him, he kept forgetting how to breathe the more rows he had done. Nevertheless, he continued to try, hoping to get to the next checkpoint as soon as possible.

Well so far so good... Hopefully her luck would keep going just like this, after all, Alisa had successfully managed to outpace her opponent as the race kicked off, reaching the boat fast enough to hop on it, grab the paddle and steer the sailboat along towards the rafts up in the distance. She didn't so much bother to look back or forth. In her mind she saw only the goal up in the distance and how to reach it, as fast as she possibly could. Every second she spent getting distracted over how far away her opponent stood was a second she wasn't giving the entirety of her focus solely to the race at hand.

Once again, Masami came to meet his old friend—the puzzle. Like the ones from the first phase, at least he doesn't have to be tied in a noose this time. Arriving at the next checkpoint, Masami leaned closer to try and analyze what the puzzle was. He knew since the start that he sucked at puzzles, and anything logical and analytical... he would rather follow his heart, or at least his brain followed his heart, he had always been this way. Oh well, there's some rush, Masami tried to solve the puzzle using what he feels, gradually coming to the point where the chest would finally open, revealing a key, but Masami didn't know how long it took him to finish it.

Aaah, puzzles... How Alisa missed those. Nothing quite as fun as fiddling with a piece of metal while you're slowly suffucating, all while a cheeky man with a mask laughs in the distance, watching the twisted show like something out of a theater play. Thankfully, there was no shortage of air this time, just another competitor just like herself, just as desperate to finally, finally get off this island. Whoever won may as well be up for the gods to decide but that sure as hell wouldn't stop her from trying, doing her best to crack open the puzzle and grab the key before moving on.

With the key in his hand that he had received from the chest, Masami held onto it tightly, as it would waste a lot of time if he had dropped and lost this. Just like the vision that he received from the 'master', Masami followed what he was instructed to and hopped onto the same boat, and then he started to row himself back to the bay, and it would count as another checkpoint. The more he rows, the more he feels his arms turning into noodles... including his legs, even if he wasn't using these. There was a reason why he didn't choose to become a fisherman when he was a child.

"Oh, there we go~...", this puzzle cracked a fair bit easier than the last couple Alisa struggled with, and she had to admit, it felt somewhat pleasant to just solve one without feeling like she was about to die in the next few seconds if she failed. Instead, she knew all too well she'd die in the next few minutes if she didn't make it to the goal, so her triumph was ultimately short lived as she got back on her boat and sailed her way back to the bay. The Island Master had thankfully kept them aware of all the tasks they'd need to do, so it was only a matter of putting of putting her arms into it and paddling with all her might.

After daylight was darkness; the key was attached to a lace by Masami's waists, he made sure that it stayed connected with him. Before he dived through the tunnel, he inhaled and preserved the breath that he had caught before his body met with the cold waters headfirst. Minimal light helped Masami navigate through the tunnel, spotting multiple locks... multiple locks! Now, he had to guess which one is right. 'Not this one.' he thought after inserting the key into a keyhole, but failing immediately afterwards, so he tried again. 'Not this one, either.' he had only enough breath for enough seconds.

Well... Here comes the dangerous part. She knew that as she sailed back to the bay, she'd need to dive underwater through the tunnel. As she prepared for the dive, Alisa took long, deep breaths, her chest heaving up and down as she filled her lungs as much as she could, about as much of a warmup as she could muster on such a tight schedule, before diving gracefully off off the edge of the boat and under the waves. Unlike the cardio exercise that preceded, Alisa focused on keeping calm, keeping her heartrate down so she could preserve oxygen as much as she could, blowing a steady stream of bubbles as she made her way through the tunnel, fiddling with each of the locks in turn until she found the right for the key in her pocket.

When Masami's gate has been opened, it revealed a hanging rope, in which Masami automatically held unto upon seeing it, just like the vision that was implanted into him upon appearing in the phases. Come to think of it, this must have been the only time that Masami used his arms rather than his legs, which explains that 'noodle' feeling—Masami pulled himself up through the rope, making an attempt to escape the cove. So far, so good! Maybe neither has to die in the end? Maybe this was the actual finale? He didn't have the time to continue thinking throughout, he just needed to get out of here.

Well, she cut it a bit close back there as she dove under the water, steadily struggling for breath more and more as time went on, but the moment she found the rope, Alisa gritted her teeth as she hoisted herself up with all her might, making the most of the water around her to support her weight and letting her concentrate all of her strength in hoisting herself up as quickly as possible, before finally emerging from under the water and back onto solid ground. Barely wasting a second brushing her long dark hair behind her head, away from her eyes, the sculptress darted forward, struggling with the weight of her wet clothing as it clung desperately to her skin.
