Lee Nakamura
Lee wandered around Orchida looking for a manor. The client was worried about her fiancee whom entered some manor to sell their shop. He had not returned for a month with a missing status. This would worry anybody. He looked at his notes as he flipped through everything. Salem scanned through as well. His black paw pointed to the address below.

"21 West Corner Street. That's not too far from here." The cat's statement was correct to his knowledge. A few years ago he spent several months here for an assignment from his Rune Knight days. He was a bit familiar with the area of Orchida. A few block over they had arrived at the strange manor. It looked abandon with foliage growing all over with and trees hiding it making it barely noticeable. Quick and quietly on his feet, he and Salem entered through the doorless doorway. It was dark and empty. The only light was from the windows and doorways which were quickly sealed with magic.

"Interesting...no wonder Marlee hasn't heard from her fiancee. There is not way out." Salem jumped a little with the automatic lack of light. The small feline curled his top lips a little out of annoyance. Lee lit his finger as a small flame burned on the tip. A old candle was on his left and lit it. "Time to see what's in this old place. Come on, Salem" called Lee. The cat sighed and followed.

"Why would someone be in here. There's not a single life in here" exclaimed Salem. Lee shrugged. "Do you hear something, Salem?" Behind them was a duck. This puzzled both of them. The duck was creepy with staring human-like gaze. It seem to have some essence of human qualities, which creeped both of them out. They continued to walked down the hallways. Each room they entered had strange medical equipment which brought back a horrible feeling to Lee. His past started to flash with all the torture he was put through and his illness that permanently scarred him. This mission caused him to become more urgent with everything. Each room brought back even more pain and triggering his PTSD. Salem stopped him. "Lee, sit down for a while. You're starting to shake" mentioned the feline companion.

Lee sat down against the wall doing breathing exercises and counting in his head. It was a proven method to calm him down a little. Not many people knew of his condition. If they knew its past, they would of suspected it. He never understood why people would do this. Was it some kind of sick twisted joke? A mind game?

After a few moments, he stood up and dusted himself off then adjusted his tie. "Thank you, Salem. I will be fine. I just needed a moment. Back onto the mission, looks like this a secret illegal testing facility. It's protect by magic to seal its victims in. Seems what happened to our friend here" he spoke. His finger pointed to the duck following them. Salem blinked. "How does a duck have to do anything with the fiancee?"

"Think about it. Magic manor. Random duck. It's too obvious to not realize" he spoke. The duck, missing human and the outplace medical equipment were all connected. They continued to search for any trace of the Marlee's missing fiancee. Eventually they found a room with an alive body. Someone was waddling around and quacking much like a duck. Lifting the candle closer, the light shined on the exact human that Marlee described to be missing. He seemed to be the one acting like a duck. There had to be a switch of something to undo the damage. Playing around for a while, Salem found a platform that seemed to connect to a magical ran machine made to switch minds. It glowed bright like something from a radioactive waste dump. Before they could do anything, they heard loud rushed footsteps.

"So...you're the troublemakers who have making all the ruckus" cackled a voice. Lee's eyes shifted to a wacky scientist. Immediately, Lee's temper was triggered. "What the fuck did you do to this poor man? This is unethical and illegal deemed by the government of Fiore. I should know, ex-Lutienant of Rune Knights" he spoke, quietly. Fire swirled around him as the bandages burns to ash releasing all seven of his tails. "Of course, place a human mind into a duck and a duck's mind into a human. My research is complete" he laughed manically. "Perhaps, a cat and a human would be great" he eyed Salem and Lee. Salem seemed to like the idea, but Lee's temper finally broke. He raised a left arm quick with his palms up. Underneath him, a large red magic circle rotated as the air around them grew heavier. Two single streams of fire came from his palm aiming straight at the opponent. The two fire missles were 0.5 in diameter hitting the wacky scientist both causing C-rank damage. Lee saw him scorched below his boots.

"You are the scum under the boots" he hissed. He stomped the scientist in the face with his boot heel causing an imprint. Lee growled a little under his breath. He turned away for a moment. Quickly, swung around with another kick. The kitsune tails glowed a faint light and slowly became one tail. Yet again another red magic circle glowed underneath his tail. With a swing of his body, the one meter fire tail caused D-rank damage. He was well within a meter of two of the scientist to make contact. Officially drained. Lee scowled at the unconscious man. "People like you disgust me! I should kill you, but thats not how I am. Jerk" he whispered. Salem looked up at LeeAnn then down at the man.

He went up to the machine trying to figure out how to fix the two. There were two suction cups that would go on top of heads. They placed the duck on one platform and vice versa for the man. Each had a suction cup hooked to the glowstick machine. Pulling the lever, a bright glow came from the machine almost blinding Salem and Lee. He crept his eyes open to see the two lives back to normal."Come on, let's get you back to Marlee. She's been waiting for ya" he spoke.

One must emulate both the fox and the lion, because a lion cannot defy a snare, while a fox cannot defy a pack of wolves.
