Masami
He had a wagasa. Now that it was nighttime, Masami wanted to stroll around the streets with an oil-paper umbrella, a mask positioned in front of his face to hide his facial appearance. He was in Hosenka, and supposedly Joyan people (or at least aware of Joyan culture) circulate the city, so this sort of outfit wasn't questionable. Nobody would think that you are being suspicious when you walk around in a mask, or wearing strange mixes of clothes—as long as you wear the clothes properly, nobody would get in trouble. Masami knew that he wasn't back in Joya, but the amount of Joyan-themed structures in this place made Masami feel like he was back home.

Not going to lie, Masami wanted to visit the "most dangerous parts" of the city, somewhere fights occur a lot more often. His guild master, Tomoe Tanaka, taught Masami to venture in dangerous locations to teach himself to become stronger—it's like a fly willingly getting caught in a spider's net, only to devour the spider itself. It was just that Masami didn't exactly know where such location was, as the city was big and everyone assumed Masami would be a child who "wasn't allowed in those sorts of places" so they immediately restrict him from visiting such place (in which, they are not wrong), Masami decided not to abuse the power of Take-Over (in a form that allows him to appear older and more mature than he is) so he would lie in boredom, playing everything safely. Sooner or later, there would be requests piling up for "Kita Masami" regards assistance all-around the city—mages get these a lot. Masami is a known mage now, how to people manage a reputation like that?

So far, everything was peaceful. It felt unordinary to be placed somewhere so safe and quiet, as if 'normal' wasn't even an existing term. The mask that covered his face allowed him to breathe finely, and it wasn't restricting any other senses for being worn. It was indeed, a cursed mask, in which allowed Masami to feel its' life pumping through it—hopefully, the legend of having his face burnt by the mask won't occur for Masami. The thought gave him shivers by the spine, but the people's smiles that pass by him were enough to remind him that now, he is safe, and there is nothing to worry about.

Kurisa sad, but peaceful as her momo ran off. Maybe she found some other better life to live. She frowned and wondered somethings. Her eyes of beautiful lilac watered up like the pond she was a few feet away from. The trees around the area were blossoming with beautiful sakura flowers. The night lit the place up nicely as she stood there in her kimono of purple and light blue flowers. Her hair was up and spiked with needles into her hair. She was all dressed up since she was supposed to go see some boss later on, but she decided to step away from the business for a little bit.

Everyone she gets close to leaves her. Everyone besides the one that was cursed with her, Judith and her family. Everyone she falls for leaves her, even her companion leaves her? A small tear fell from the side of her eye. Soon enough when her children are at age - they will leave her too. It was all apart of her curse and she will die for it to end up happening all over again. The woman was like the nine-tailed fox who fell in love with a man for once in her life for him to end up getting killed. After that, the nine-tailed fox destroyed and sucked the souls off of every man. Will she be like that in the end too? Was she really over her head in finding love and passion from someone that wasn't herself? Her hand twirled the parasol that covered the back of her as she sat down on a bench made of bamboo and wood.

Maybe she will live long enough...

To become the evil demon...

Masami
There were differences in every city's nighttime sky color: Masami noticed that Marigold City isn't so dark at night, and Myras City had moments where it was completely dark then completely light the next day – Dahlia City was dark all the way, but Hosenka City had a beautiful purplish-tint right above. Masami giggled when he realized this, thinking about how blessed he was for being Joyan in a beautiful, Joyan-inspired city. It's often usually the Sinese culture being passed all-throughout lands, even Joya had Sinese parts, but that was all about it. The night was still on-going and Masami still had enough time to cluelessly wander the streets at nighttime. Tourists enjoy wandering at nighttime too, because Hosenka had bright night lights that made the whole city feel safe, non-threatening, nor delirious. Masami loved that.

Sooner or later, a woman's cry will amplify enough to catch Masami's attention. Initially, Masami only heard whimpering noises in which he ignored, but realizing how near the cries were had reminded him of his mother's cry, in which his head immediately turned to the direction of where the noise was coming from. For a second there, the sound was as if imitating his mother's voice, and then there was a sudden panic in Masami's chest that made him grow relentless 'less he finds out where the sound was, and why. That's usually how people die in horror movies.

The woman whose parasol covered her back reminded Masami of a Joyan tale about a crying woman, who had lost her child, and therefore cried with the rain forever. Nevertheless, he approached this woman and offered a rice ball that was kept inside of his overcoat; it was fresh and still quite warm, Masami smiled despite the mask that covered his face. "Here, it's sweet—and still warm." he lightly shook the hand that held unto the rice ball, the other hand still holding unto the parasol – only witnessing the side of the woman's face. He has yet to realize that it was someone he had met before.

Kuri just let her emotions get the best of her. Will anyone really answer her prayers if she did one? Her eyes cornered as she felt a presence come towards her. It was like a shadow she has felt before, but she didn't know who it was. The boy offered her some food as if she was some sad-forgiven begger. The riceball seemed rather fresh. Slowly she reached for it and she made a small hidden smile as her long bangs hid her eyes. "Name?" She spoke coldly and almost ghostly as if she was apart of the undead.

She was none of that as she was an angelic woman, but was she turning into a fallen? Her aura was half dark purple as it could not be seen with a human eye. She waited for the young man's name as she sniffed the food to see if it smelled bad or perhaps poisoned. She wondered if maybe he was here to relax. "Would you like to sit with me?" She wondered, questioning motherly as she saw that it was only her and him here tonight. "I promise I don't bite." She promised him. Maybe he was afraid as her power to fear over underlings was great, but she did not mean to.

"Ah, yeah." exclaimed Masami in his own surprise, patting the back of his overcoat before taking a seat, not declining the request of the woman. His parasol closed into one thin pole, placed right in between of him and the woman who accepted the small gift. "Remove the paper wrapper first." Masami genuinely gave a reminder after shaking his head, his mask no longer placed upon his face but now lies between two palms. For some reason, he couldn't find any sort of familiarity all-around the woman, but this wasn't an issue to him. He has been speaking with many strangers now, and known acquaintances were rarely found, so Masami had no choice but to speak with strangers if he wanted to socially sustain himself. "Ah, you may call me Kita." when he introduced himself, he was taking another rice ball from the inner pockets of the overcoat, then when the rice ball was in front of him, he took a bite after peeling the paper wrapper off.

He was tapping his foot with the other, munching on the small meal. "Why were you crying?" not that Masami wasn't being considerate, but he thought that directly asking the person would be better than forcing himself to exaggerate such care. Some people prefer no change in treatment even if they are sad or angry, and the same goes for Masami. However, simply because he was talking to a woman, he assumed that she went through a love problem, like boyfriends and breaking up. Masami just happened to know a lot about those, based on the roles he played in the theater (sad to say that he has no official experience in these sorts of things)! "I could give out some advice if you need, even if you're older than I." said Masami before digging into the rice ball again.

There they sat together eating some riceballs. He couldn't see her face and she couldn't see his face. He gave off a name of Kita, but his voice sounded familiar. From where though? He wondered why she was crying and wondered something, "I'm sure you don't want to hear a story from an old soul.~" She teased and chuckled softly. If he progresses into wanting to know her story then perhaps she will tell him, but it was going to be a real long story. "An old soul has a long story so if you wish to save yourself now - please speak your peace." She warned him in a motherly soft voice.

There was no one near them so her story would not go far. Kita seemed to tell her how to eat the rice ball so while watching him eat his, she unwrapped hers and ate hers as well to show some kind of trust. If he still stayed, still wished to hear her story she began. "Ever heard the legend of the Curses? The Curses of Sin. The main desires turned into curses was not always planned by the Goddess of Sin, but it ended up to me it seems.". Her eyes were half-closed, "To start from the beginning or to the present time?" She wondered.

Masami
Now, Masami felt more relaxed, having his own legs crossed while he was still at it. "Oh please," he replied to the taunt, holding a palm out as if he was the oh-so-mature child between the two, "I often talk with adults, anyway—do go on!" His ears were intently listening to what the woman had to say, the boy hoping that he didn't share his name to someone whom would never share their, just like what happened between him and the Skulltaker in Sieghart Mountains; plus, neither him nor the woman were looking at each others' eyes, consider it a blind date.

How fitting, she started to talk about curses. "Curses of Sin—Goddess of Sin..." Masami repeated to show that he truly was listening to her tales, then making the last bite afterwards. He clapped his hands and brushed the dust off of the top of his clothing, then proceeded on placing his palms on the ground behind Masami, supporting his weight. Masami was trying to look for tales about curses, too, to see whether his mother is simply sickly or if their family line are cursed, guess he found some jackpot tale. "I would like to start from the beginning, please, if you're alright with it." he replied, eager to know what she has to say. Even if it was merely a tale, Masami was sure that it would be classified, useful information. 'A cursed person too, huh...' Even until now, Masami didn't think about questioning her voice. Earlier just now, he thought that it was his mother whimpering from a distance—Masami was too scared to believe that it was someone he had met before.

Doing a play for him would have been easier, but just telling him the story will have to be the same. She gazed a little up towards the sky as she looked at the same moon she looked at thousands of years ago, Ana. Ana was the first as she was born under the red harvest moon.

She fell in love with her childhood friend who acted as if he too felt for her. She was the Princess of the area she lived in so many suitors were an option. She fought for her feelings for him and when finally they approved? They were married, her father died on the same day and him? He slowly acted differently. He ignored her, slept with women within the kingdom, and then sent her away to a dungeon. She was confused, hurt, and destroyed. She spent so many years loving him, gifting him with loyalty, honesty, and all the virtues a man could ask for from a woman, but it seemed to not be enough. She was tortured by his ruling in the dungeon until a woman appeared and saved her. She wrapped Ana in darkness and they both went to the castle to find him dead in bed. The guards found her over his dead body and blamed her. She backed away and her whole soul was engulfed into darkness, the abyss ate her.

She started with this as she explains that was the first time. Kurisa explained to Kita that the girl's soul was sent throughout history to be trapped into a vial and ended up being conjoined into another girl a few thousand years later.

Masami
Before the woman started her tale, it was as if Masami heard a hyoshigi (instrument used before a Joyan theatrical show starts) introducing a brilliant tale—while the woman was speaking, Masami was visually seeing paper puppets acting out her words. Of course, he was visualizing puppets, so no matter how sad the tale would have been, Masami will never feel this until he had finally seen or experienced what sort of sadness it was. Truly, her tale would not fit a light-hearted show, and the ending left him hanging. Automatically, Masami spoke out the idea that came through his mind. "And I believe that's your tale?" he checked the fingernails of one hand – for some odd reason, he was utterly convinced that it was, indeed, the woman's tail, despite no logical nor hypothetical reasoning behind it. Is this what we call intuition? He had lived his life with lots of those, without exactly knowing how to explain nor to point it out; it was a genuinely serious question to put it so, however, but Masami wouldn't be disappointed if the woman said "no" to it, too. Fiore had given Masami tons of magical surprises, so those sorts of tales, for him, should have been normal now. "If it is yours then..."

He had two fingers touching his own chin, thinking about a possible conclusion for the tale if it were to be a theatric play, however that 'possible conclusion' had surprised himself more than he expected to be. Thinking that, if ever, the princess is the one stuck inside this woman's body, then she was more of an 'old soul' than Masami would have imagined? He abruptly turned to her for an answer, a worried face embedded in his expression. He tried to lean down, an attempt to look at the woman's face. If he could recognize her, then it would have been the 'conclusion' he needed.

He questioned if it was her tale, but why would she tell it anyway if it wasn't apart of her own story? She nibbled her riceball as she thought about it for a second and sighed. "It is, but only the start." she started as she then told the two-thirds of the story.

Or at least a summary of it.

She explained that as a little girl she was experimented on by the person who bought her from her biological parents. Not only was she experimented on, but the man also taught her how to experiment on other people. Her body was infused with an old ancient soul, the girl from the first story. She even had to experiment with her brother. When she wasn't doing that she was locked in a room, a voice speaking to her. It was her only company for several years until she decided as a teen to escape with the other experimented children. They blew up the place and ran off. She then just summarized how during that life-time she fell in love with person after person, they used her, abandoned her, and left her for other women. When she finally found the one that loved her, a powerful demon, her human body died a few years later.

She then started to describe this life-time within two lives. She met a guy when she first arrived at Fiore as Arisa. Kurisa skipped her tragic past of course. That guy flirted with her, danced with her as if it was a fairy tale. He turned out to be engaged to her cousin that lived in Fiore. Months later she fell for a guy who she met during a tournament. She didn't think of it, but they met on the street again and fell in love. She thought she finally broke her curse, but it was after having children that he disappeared. Turned out; he went to prison, once he got out he didn't come back to her and went on in his own life. During that though she fell in love with her best friend - a repeat of what happened with Ana... As he too destoryed her heart, her love and punched her, left her on the cliff to be in despair.

She was stabbed by a woman in a bed of flowers and died only thinking

Why

Why could she never love?

She was revived as someone else, took over someone else's life, and ended up feeling close, almost love towards another... "I just don't know... since he's not particularly GOOD... but I feel like there's good within him and that makes me want to engage. Hard to explain." She sighed.

Masami
Huh, adults truly were complicated sometimes, but Masami still tried to understand nevertheless. "I'm sorry, I think we have met before?" speaking as if it was more of a question rather than a demand, Masami lightly chuckled afterwards. He had never listened to such a tale before, having such technology as to transfer memories (or souls) to future bodies, now Masami exactly understood what the woman meant when she said she had been in many places as an old soul. "I can't remember your name, though, so I'd like to ask it once more!" That said, Masami completely believed everything the woman said, from each failure in love, from certain deaths – everything. She had explained it in a way that didn't let Masami doubt one bit, thus he was willing to follow her by.

Then, two more fingers touched his chin once more. Masami, even as a child, learned that some people fall into evil for hoping that somebody would turn out to become good, but it's not something to generalize. "Well... do you love him?" Masami didn't like asking this question, because people would usually assume that they were in love with everybody even if they truly aren't; however when he listened to the woman, he knew that she was wise enough to know exactly what she feels and what she wants. "I think you're a kind lady, so I guess whoever 'he' is, he needs to make sacrifices." now, he was speaking based on experience, but more of a familial love rather than romantic love. Masami had made lots of sacrifices for his family, and then the same goes with his older siblings whom would work for their needs. "You're a lady, after all." ah—like a mother who'd always tell her son to treat a lady with respect. For Masami, the same goes to whoever 'he' was, he had hope that he had made sense despite being a younger soul.

Love... it was a powerful word that people used so loosely. It was like sweet honey that dropped off a comb. So hard to create, so time-consuming, but it was so easy for people to waste. She has only met him a few times so could she call it love? No, "I cannot call it love, just yet. I still... I feel a connection to him, but not love." She tilted her head a little and cornered her eyes. "Ah, so it is you." She realized who it was. "Arisa, Kurisa, many names - whichever you wish to call me by." She gave off a sweet breathy tone like a mother.

"I want it to be love, but if he doesn't wish to presuit it, give as I give then there will be no point." Her head tilted upward. "Perhaps, I will give my children love from children who need love if it doesn't work out. Not all love is seen from your own eyes. It sometimes finds you. Hopefully, it will for me like the moon and sun. Even when the sun is all-powerful, a large star it still loves the moon no matter the distance." It was somewhat a metaphor or whatever they called it these days. The boy seemed gentle and perhaps he had questions about stuff. "I am here to answer." She tilted her head downward to let her hair cover her face.

"Do you think my desire for love is foolish? My old soul... feels so tired, but it won't let go of anyone till I live a life through someone and find love..." She spoke quietly, almost in a whisper.

Masami
Wasn't Masami the one who said he'd be the one giving advice? Oh well, the tables have turned – adults were being adults and Masami, a child, was being a child. Having learnt something from the woman, whom revealed herself to be Arisa, or Kurisa, he had sparkles in his eyes that it was almost visual. He held his fists in front of him, cheering her on because of his excitement from her wisdom. Then, he settled this in a calmer demeanor. "Ah... so it really is you." he sighed in relief immediately afterwards, he had been looking for her quite some time, but now he had finally found her. He was going to ask about curses, but perhaps she had already given him an answer before he would even ask.

Based on Kurisa's story, there was a curse, because there was pain. Masami could not quite relate, as he doesn't remember giving anyone such pain. In fact, it was always his family being in pain, so where was it from? Masami lowkey blamed himself, irrationally thinking that he was a walking curse, bringing unease to everyone around him, but he knew that it wasn't exactly true as he met people who loved being with him, so why is it exactly that?

Kurisa was correct when she said that the sun is all-powerful, but still loves the moon, thus the moon shines through the sun's presence. Because of such a beautiful symbolism, now Masami wanted to feel loved. He had missed being embraced by his own mother's warmth, and no other love can replace such feeling—if someone ever tries, they would pay, in a way even Masami isn't aware of. He gently gave the woman a pat in the shoulder. "It's alright, everybody experiences that." he said in relief, calmer than he was earlier. "My mom always tell me stories about her pre-marriage with my dad, though I've never met dad." it wasn't a big deal to him, not meeting his own father. People would usually become surprised, but it had always been two of his older siblings who became the father-figure instead. It was a well-established family, suffering together, staying intact. Masami was proud of it—once again, he was becoming homesick.

"Where are you staying, at the moment?" he dropped his hand down to the parasol, properly closing it this time. "If you'd like, I can make you dinner. Since I'm from Joya, and Hosenka is very Joyan-inspired, getting the ingredients I need wouldn't be a hassle." hopefully the woman did not mind, Masami liked taking care of people this way. He knows that surprising or satisfying the woman through a Joyan dinner wouldn't be enough, given that Kurisa had been in many places, but Masami's childish hope would forever linger, anyway.

She thought about all her lives and realized something. She never had a good history with her parents. One was either crazy and did all these horrible things to her or they just sold her young. The only good parent she had was her father, Ana's father who died mysteriously on her wedding day to her best friend. What she didn't know was something that no one shall know. She listened to the boy as he wondered if she was staying anywhere. She gave a small smile and then slowly stood up tall. She was about six foot two. Her body turned for her lilac moon eyes to gaze at the boy.

"I live in a suite in the hotel over there." She pointed towards the tallest skyscraper. She slowly walked towards there as she then stood there waiting for him. Once he understood and followed, she walked towards the place. She ignored all the gazes they were receiving as what it looked like to them was a mother and their son. They both had similar feats, but for now, she ignored it. She walked inside the hotel and into the elevator. They went to the top as when it opened it revealed the natural setting of a Joyan house. She had her own garden with bamboo in it, koi pond, and even her own spa pool. It was all in the middle, but for now she turned towards the right. "This is the kitchen." She introduced the area. She felt sad as she misses her children and momo who ran off...

Masami
Masami thought about taking an hour to venture around the market to get certain ingredients for dinner's udon. He was proud of have lived with a family who knew how to cook, and also knew how to choose the perfect ingredients at the correct price – it was also the reason why Masami wasn't convinced in purchasing overpriced items in the Lower District back in Myras City, or rather he had declined the offer of purchasing such overpriced goods. Hosenka City's marketplace should have already freshly-prepared noodles, thus Masami wouldn't need to make his own out of flour, although it was usually cheaper this way if he had the time to make some. However, it was already nighttime, and Masami had already ate – she didn't want the woman to keep waiting.

What else does he need apart from the noodles themselves? Meat broth, of course, Masami should never forget that. Apart from those, there are a bunch of other add-ons that despite Masami's inability to identify all of them now, he will be reminded of which to add once he is in the marketplace. However, all of these thoughts shut down when Kurisa pointed towards a skyscraper, a familiar structure, known to Masami as where the richest citizens stay in. "Huh?" his mouth trembled into a shaky smile, tilting his head a little to the direction of where the woman pointed at. He honestly couldn't believe it was that building, was she mistaken? Masami wouldn't even dare to stay at such a luxurious place, even rent is expensive! But then the woman described exactly what Masami doubted, and he was left in awe.

"Huh?! No way!" well, Masami, yes way. Little did he know how wealthy Kurisa was—no, he didn't even believe such wealthy people even existed in the first place... and to be acquainted, to cook for someone so wealthy, such as the woman in front of him? Masami didn't know what to say, mindlessly following the woman to the suite, still doubting whether she was being legitimate or not. In the end, she was, and Masami has nothing to do with it.

It was nighttime, and the suite's lights greatly put the whole suite into an offer of such a beautiful atmosphere. "Woah! Woah, woah!" Masami ventured inside after the woman entered, his eyes shining brightly as they reflect the lighting of the suite. It was a huge suite, almost the same size as five apartments stuck together! Or maybe Masami was exaggerating? Nevertheless, he was led into the kitchen, and all those plans from a while ago completely vanished. Without permission, he opened the refrigerator, which included everything he needed already! He didn't need to go to the marketplace after all, seeing all these inside one container... a big container that was. Thus, he turned to Kurisa, a worried face embedded in his expressions. "Why are you so rich?!" his emotions got a hold of him, asking immediately what entered his mind. "So rich! Are you even real right now?!" of course he was panicking – circulating his arms around like a small bird dancing over a large tree. He didn't know where to start, at all.

The boy seemed to be a little in a world that could not be explained.  He was unsure if her or the place was rather real. She watched him look around first and then he went towards the fridge to see if it was real too. Everything was real and now he finally realized it. He wondered how she got so rich and let me just say, it took a lot of time. She walked towards her half of a circle sofa and sat on it. Her head turned to look at him and closed her eyes to relax for a few seconds.

"It took a long time, but business after business and I had a lot of family loot." She started. It wasn't a lie or anything. She wondered curiously afterwards, "What will you make me?~" She teased motherly. "I'll bake you something in exchange. I use to own a cafe. Baked tons of sweets - even candy. I'm not a huge sweets person, but I do love spicy food." She gave him a sweet little hint in case he did make something sweet. Chocolate cake, strawberry cake - those she liked, but if something was any more sweeter than a lemon tart Kurisa wasn't the type to eat it. "And if I wasn't real dear, I wouldn't be talking to you nor would I have seen that play a few months back." She giggled softly.

Fresh noodles were placed into a plastic container, covered with a re-usable lid – Masami took this out to be placed into a nearby counter, then he tip-toed to check the upper freezer. As expected, this magical refrigerator is a whole grocery store. All of the meat were labelled, complete with their expiry date. "Tempu—kake udon...?" Masami answered the woman's question regards what meal to create for tonight, changing his mind half-way. "Ah, I'll make the tempura separately... hmm, meat and mushroom broth." While taking out the required ingredients, such as meat bone marrows, mushrooms, whatever else is needed for the noodles – Kurisa was telling him about establishments, but these weren't a surprise to Masami anymore. He had acknowledged her wealth, and acknowledged her past. All of those gave him more reasons to respect the woman. "I like spicy food too." he chuckled before speaking, completely closing the refrigerator before taking a look at those... glorious, shiny new knives. People would exchange so much for these back in Joya, but Kurisa had a collection of them in one go. It was only now until Masami realized he wasn't breathing – phew.

Then, he started to chop the vegetables while the meat broth is in the making. "Why did you bake if you liked spicy food, Miss Kurisa?" asked Masami without looking away from the chopping board – the knives were a little heavier than he expected, but he chopped the ingredients in ease. Kurisa mentioned something about a play a few months ago, so she does remember Masami ever since that day. "Yeah, I think I'll start performing in the theater here in Hosenka instead." he found it better than Marigold's theater, anyway. No annoying folks, and everyone can understand him in whatever language he spoke. In a few minutes, the dinner will be ready.

Karisa

The boy was being really kind and formal. She assumed it was because of where he must have come from. Softly, she coughed and laid back on the couch. It was comfortable, like resting on some clouds or even some feathers without the pokey part. She listened to him talk to himself or to her, she could not tell, but what mattered was that whatever he just said - it sounded great. Kurisa has not had someone cook for her in quite a while. He wondered why she baked if she liked spicy food, making her chuckle sweetly.

"For the people of course. More people love sweets than spicy things, plus my cafe was a mix. I served food and sweets. Like a maid cafe."
She replied and snuggled into the pillows. All the work she will be doing and has done was getting to her. She wanted someone to take care of her someday... someone to call her own. "What do you think of love - I don't think I asked before." She wondered softly. Her eyes watched as the bamboo lifted water from the stream and onto the other side, making a tic sound. Next, he spoke about doing his acts here in Hosenka, making her smile. "I feel like it'd be good for you. The theater here welcomes all and isn't as touchy." She added and finally closed her eyes as she let the smell of the food go through her nose.

Masami
All the ingredients were simmering, and the noodles were easily cooked than expected. Neither did Masami expect that he would be finishing all these under an hour, but it was better than having to rush for everything at once. "I see." Masami replied in response to Kurisa's statement about her café, removing the lid of the pot to place the mushroom in. "Ah, this smells nice." he stirred the mushrooms in with a wooden spoon – in a few minutes, this would finally be ready. Maybe he'd chop in a chili or two, just for the spice of it.

"Love, huh..." muttered Masami in response to Kurisa's question – Masami didn't know how to answer this at first, as the term was usually defined by a more straightforward meaning in Joya. Usually, everyone knows exactly what this meant, so being asked for their opinion regards the virtue is a rare occurrence. "Love regards... a person? A possession, honor?" Masami asked for more tiny details, else he may not be able to answer the woman at all. When he thought of the word, he immediately remembered a vision of his mother, whispering it to him when he was falling asleep on her lap. It was a quick memory that didn't give him much of an impact, thus he didn't make a reaction out of it. The second memory that came to him was his teacher pointing a stick at him, teaching (forcing) him how to write the word "love" in Fiorian. Such a strict teacher, she was... a scary, strict teacher, that was.

While waiting for her answer, he prepared the bowls for their meal. It pleased him to hear the woman praising the theater, making him gently smile at the thought, glad that he made a great choice. "Just like how I told them to..." Masami replied, praising his own efforts, as well. Being part as the head of Hinoki Theater, he was glad that his management was being well, even if he was still but a child. "We had Joyan actresses who came from Marigold, they complained about how awful and boring the theater was." it was a story free to tell, as Marigold's Theater and Hosenka's Theater will be bound to become rivals, after all. "We also try to preserve our Joyan culture, Marigold's only takes whatever's trending. Which, is probably why you didn't like the play before—I learned not to like it, as well."

Karisa

"Ah yes, the trending." she started and yawned with a stretch. "People and their tending. People can't handle unique... someone or thing different." Her eyes are half-closed. Was she describing herself right now? She felt like putting herself in his rant was wrong truthfully. Her eyes cornered to look and watch him cook. Slowly, she sat up against the edge of the couch and embraced her legs close to her face. "Love, like for another person. I know some people are different with it, but I feel like it's a beautiful thing. Having someone to lean on, someone to listen to you, someone that will always be there for you. If you don't appreciate it now, maybe someday I can make you see it." She giggled softly with a motherly smile.

"Well, not those actors and actresses can enjoy their form of art here. I did fan-dancing in my younger days, you know. Singing, playing instruments. Art is a beautiful way to express how you feel."
Her head tilted as her purple eyes looked at him more. This was nice, relaxing even and hoped she was not boring him at all. "If momo was here, she would be happy to see you. She likes company and neck scratches." Her eyes furrowed sadly as her lips frowned. She missed her, but she will have to move on. "Perhaps, if you're here any longer you will see my children.~ They're about seven years old." Kurisa created a sweet and pure smile of happiness.

Masami
Yikes, Masami thought that he was being put to a spot he can't escape, like quicksand, for being placed into scenarios he can't imagine. He had only ever seen his family truly loving him, with that listening and all—or was he too used to being loved that he no longer knew how to explain "love" in tiny details? When Kurisa said that it was a beautiful thing, Masami had to agree, thus he chuckled as an answer. "Haha, yeah! I really do think that I may have been dead by now, if it wasn't for the people I love, that loves me too." he placed the noodles into two bowls, then he started to prepare the broths and chopped toppings. Hopefully, he was catching up despite his inexperienced, Joyan self. "I've had people listen to me," he uttered as he poured broth over one bowl, "because they were forced to. People can't resist me." Masami understood that the way he said it made him appear egoistic, although it was true, as fame changes so many things. "They like listening to my tales because it makes them feel entitled." oh my, he didn't mean to sound so distressed about it. Now that both bowls of udon are filled with both noodles and broth, it was time to decorate them. It was Masami's favorite part of food-making: making food look too good to eat. However, it's still food, and even if it was beautiful, Masami wasn't the type to preserve food and would eat right away.

Kurisa was making herself seem older than she appears, in which confused Masami. Although she had mentioned being an old soul, it was only enough to prove the soul inside of her, but how old was she exactly? "Momo?" he questioned the unfamiliar name, though to Masami, it sounded like a pet... it would be very odd if the only things that made a human memorable is their love for company and neck scratches, unless those were a thing in Fiore. Then, to his surprise, his questions were (low-key) answered!

"Woah... you're a mother!" he felt that motherly aura around her, a few times by now, actually. Seven-years old children, huh? They were almost the same as the ji (Masami's younger twin siblings), although he had two more siblings before him. "Where are they now?" he was interested – for a middle-child brother, he had grown fond of both children and adults.

The surprise on the kid's face was worth telling him as his reactions were like an excited kid who wanted to see their siblings - almost. A chuckle escaped her soft lips as she leaned against the couch to watch Masami cook for her. It was like a son cooking for their ill mother. She frowned at the thought as his mother was ill, she - herself was too, but in a different manner. She will die again young as Ana did, Kuri did and Arisa did. She was next of course the when was in question. Her children will have to be the right age for her to die though as this body will wither, but her soul will be within the winds, traveling to another host.

What will become her children, she did not know. Maybe her souls will split off into different people... At this time Kurisa didn't think about it, but it was sad she could not as it was her children who may become the hosts. "They're with their aunt who is on their way here." She yawned once more, stretching and stood straight up. She walked over to Masami, but at the island counter. Her hand grasped onto the chair that was not a stool and sat on it. It was a normal chair with amazing cushions. She hated stools personally.

Masami
Oh crap, did Masami just speak in Joyan the whole last post? He started to place the udon topics... veeerrryyy slooowwlly, thinking of a way to get out of the embarrassing situation. He was going to get upset for having half of his statements unanswered, however his internal questions have been answered by himself, immediately after thinking about it. Now that Kurisa was nearer, his smile started to shake, as if anxious over how to fix this huge mess—wait, did she just understand him?

"You... speak Joyan?" asked Masami without looking away from the udon bowls, still slowly adding the toppings. However, he spoke in Fiorian just in case – he didn't want another communication barrier accident. One bowl was finished out of two, so he had to simply slide this in front of Kurisa, smoke still coming out of the bowl. The scent of noodles had started to fill the rooms outside the kitchen, and he had hoped that the smell was attractive for Kurisa, too. Immediately after, he had also slid chopsticks right beside Kurisa's udon bowl, and now it was time for Masami to make his own bowl.

Not that it was even important for him to decorate his own bowl, he can simply randomly add toppings and eat it like normal. He continued to carefully place in the meat and the vegetables like from earlier, though.
