He did so successfully, eventually keeping the wild animals out of the region. He didn't have to hunt like the others, as his prey came to him instead. During this protection, he'd hunt for food. After the events of last night, Noel had caught a glimpse of the villain wizard that had put them on this island. They were a masked individual. Noel suspected one of the people in his camps to be this individual, but wasn't sure which to share this information yet with.

He'd quietly weep over the cross, pouring the last bit of his plastic bottle over the grave. Noel had to move on, figure out the mystery of the villain that perpetrated this entire psychotic massacre. During the night, one person missed from the pillar. At least Noel deduced this by the amount of screams he heard - it might have been entirely possible that someone wasn't screaming as the pillar shot into the sky. When this happened, the masked individual made an appearance as well, even if it was for a short moment.
