Lucian V. Crimson
The large clearing was perfect for the coming training, it was time to perfect not only myself and my physical strength but the power of my magic as well. I have to become a complete warrior if I am to obtain my purpose and my goals. There is no way I can continue on in this world as just another mage or vagabond on the streets. I have to become more than that. Greater than what I have been, I used to be a child of the stars but I realize that what's better than being one of the stars, is being apart of the ones who make them. Though I don't know if I truly want this power to rule or to merely have the ability to do as I see fit when I see fit. To help if I want to, to know fate on a deeper level than even I know now. But those are all ideals to hold on to for another time, for now, it was time to grow stronger on this plane of existence.

Now, first and foremost, I've noticed that all my attacks are blunt force and are full-on brunt attacks meant to overload the enemy with might but what good is rain against the roof of a house. I can't expect to think Imma just overpower everyone I meet on brute strength alone. I need something that is gonna be concentrated. Condensed. Like that of a spear or arrow point, maybe I can.

Lucian took his time to analyze the rock formation before him, the tall pylon shaped structure was thick from front to back, long enough to be double his height in length. Taking a step back, Lucian analyzed the make up the structure and his objective, the goal was to pierce the rock, not blow it to pieces.

Taking his magical energy, Lucian formed a magic seal, one of his spells was the raising kaisers, it was a ball of energy that on the impact caused explosive blunt force trauma. But what if it could be changed and formatted to be different, the same concept of shape and form but with a different objective. Lucian pulled on his magical power and the mana within but instead of letting it loose and firing, he focused on condensing it. Pressuring it down and forcing it to stay compact.

Lucian could feel the power slowly coming under his control, the might of the explosive force fighting against him as he sought to control and conform to the very opposite nature of itself. The ball of pure energy fought and fought till finally, it gave way to his desire. Sweating profusely Lucian was ecstatic as the ball seemed to remain contained, then in a sudden burst of light, the ball of energy became undone, the power of the contained explosion no longer able to hold back. The force of the blast rocketed him back into the valley below. Stars and smoke danced in the small place he had once been, the pain heavy in chest.

"Damn it."

Lucian stood to his feet, wiping off the dust that came to settle on him, walking back up the hill, Lucian stood before the great rock once more. This time, he tried to squeeze physically as well as mentally. Maybe throwing fast enough and with its own propelled force would be enough for him to get the ball rolling and moving forward at least for it to remain contained until after it left's target hopefully. Taking the same stance from the last time, Lucian grabbed the kaiser ball once again. This time squeezing onto it with his fist, taking a swing with the ball Lucian threw it as hard as he could.

The condensed ball of mana traveled with unnerving speed towards the rock formation than in a blink it quickly changed direction striking a nearby formation with an explosive force blowing the rocks to bits.

"Damn it."

Maybe one hand wasn't the necessary approach, to control something you needed a guide, like a potter with clay. Maybe it was time to use two hands. Lucian took the stance once again, the spell forming between the nook in hands once again, but this time the shell formed itself into a slightly elongated version. The energy bent to his will as he pushed on it more and more till the shell seemed to shine with a polished hue. Smiling Lucian pushed forward with both hands, the shell firing with uncanny precision as it pushes towards the rock with ruthless aggression and dangerous intent. Running into the structure the shell cut into the stone and ran deep through continuing through the full length of the stone until it came out on the other end and continued to disappear until it disappeared from view.

"I like that."

Lucian sat on the ground, his body taking the brunt of the toll for his failures but in the end, he had become victorious but that wasn't enough.

The fight against thugs, I have always used the Gaia breaker to create surrounding havoc but once again that was a blunt force ground focused move that people could clearly see what was coming. What if my opponent can fly, or at least react to the move within enough time, then I was easily susceptible to all of the counter-attacks that could come in the window of opportunity. So then what could I really use, a sword? Eh, not my forte. A giant ax, no that would be slow. A hammer? Lucian, come on now more blunt force. A scythe? Ahh, a scythe would be nice indeed.

The weapon had the reach, cutting power and the fluidity needed to cut through the foes that were around. The reaper, a quick a fluid death.

Standing to his feet, Lucian noticed that there was a distinct setup of rocks and trees. Everything was in a distinct circle save for an open area in the very center of the formation with nothing encompassing the spot. Perfect for what the spell he had to imagine. Lucian walked into the middle, his breath came in a ragged and shallow gasp, but this was apart of the practice. He had to develop control, this spell had to be quick and precise, the goal wasn't to cause the most devastating destruction. The goal was to cut swiftly and precisely while making sure to remove all foes from the area around him.

Taking his time, Lucian envisioned when he used to make the sword of krotodamus in the past, the crimson tinged blade was not ornate or even elegant but it was solid and sturdy, meant to cleave through whatever he swung it up against. It was meant to be the slayer, this is to bring an efficient death. Lucian took his stance and imagined the build of a scythe, the knowledge of battle coming back to him, the curve of the blade, the staff that held the weapon, the sickle and sharp edge that served as the cutting power of the weapon, the quick cut that would occur with every single swing. Lucian flowed his mana into his hands, the energy of the genesis force overcoming him, spinning around Lucian released the pent up energy swinging at the area in front of him.

With a solid thud, Lucian was knocked backward as a large dent appeared in the side in the of the stone pillar, he had formed a hammer instead of a bladed weapon at all.

"Really."

Getting back up again Lucian got into position once again, his legs wide and his fist together, once again he envisioned the action of forming the weapon and cleaving with it at the same time, spinning in his body and pulling from his hips and waist will rotating at the same time to great the force needed to propel the blade through the swing and cleave through whatever was in his way. Taking another deep breath, Lucian calmed his nerves and steeled him once again, digging in once again, the crimson seal appeared and with conviction Lucian struck out with his magic.

Lucian vibrated from being violently stopped by the forward progress of the weapon, the sword's blade cutting deep into the stone, it was wedged deep into the earth. A clean-cut to the middle of the rock. But once again it was not what he was looking for but it was closer than before. Groaning Lucian let the blade dematerialize as he returned back to his original spot on the earth. There had to be a way to mold the energy into what he wanted, but he always seemingly got something that he gripped from the... hilt. Taking this thought into consideration Lucian took to making a bow staff of sorts. The weapon was simple just a single rod of energy that was held on slightly in the middle of each half. Lucian made this staff a few more times before he got the hang of it. In his haste to complete his task, his energy was trying to perform the same thing it was used to. Too much of a focus on one particular part of the weapon and not the essence of the weapon itself. There was no sense of completeness. He had to make the weapon itself materialize in its whole form, keep his body solid on the swing and pull from within him while at the same time forming the weapon of his mind.

Taking the stance again Lucian focused his magic into his body, letting the mana flow through him. Quieting his mind and letting himself relax, Lucian pulled on the threads of mana and began to spin his body and slowly, he reached out and created staff portion from the bo staff training, remembering the type of blade he wanted to form. The scythe swept through the clearing with sickening speed, the blade arcing through the area with the power of a guillotine. As Lucian finished his spin, the weapon dematerialized as he finished the spin. The surrounding environment was cut into halves. The rock and the trees falling to the ground in a heap.

Satisfied, Lucian sat amidst the chaos. He had achieved again but it was still not enough. There was still so much more to gain. But unfortunately, his body was becoming more and more tired with each passing test and skill. But there was no other chance to train like now.

Lucian relished in the feeling of having the blood running through his veins and from his skin. There was the familiar feeling of being a living weapon, a primal creature of the world that was destined to defend itself and maintain its status as a true predator. The hunter and not the hunted.

It had been ages since he last had his claws and since he was a lion of the stars. But this new power was unique of it is own. He was not a lion, he was not the king, but the wolf. The lone Lord of the night and the forest. He fended for himself since that was all he had in the end. No pack, no partner, just him and his survival. Even with becoming a beast of legend and myth, there was still no sense of family or acceptance with any that thing. I have no guild, no place that fights me or where I belong. I am the monster that no one truly wants. Am I alone by my own choices or is it just destiny for me to have no one to call my own. Am I meant to live in this world alone until it is time to die?

Those thoughts can be saved for later, but maybe... Lucian stood to his feet again and thought about using his power to further strengthen himself. The strength of the primal was the spell to further increase one's physical might and power. But as this training has proven, there are more limits to my endurance than I thought. But I draw my power from the god of war and beast, beings who are constantly ready to do battle. Beings who do not tire or rest. Maybe if I could put my energy into pushing the boundaries of my endurance.

Lucian stood up again, and this time he just stood in silence, quietly observing the world and feel the natural energy of things take over his soul once again. Taking the opportunity to absorb it all in. Lucian gathered the power of his soul and clasped his hands together. Letting his magic flow through him, focused on placing the power into his muscles to restore them, Lucian push through the magical seal and felt the energy flow through his body, but it wasn't what he wanted. This felt like the strength of the primal spell, he felt strong but the fatigue was still there. He had to invigorate his soul and his body. That was the only way he was going to be able to complete his training. Taking the power to his soul Lucian felt no change again, this time it was just an empty flush of energy.

Taking his time again, Lucian clasped his hands together and pushed on the mana within his body. The magical seal exploded from underneath him. Focusing on turning the external magical energy into an internal source. Lucian felt a quick sudden surge of adrenaline but as quickly as it had come it then left.

So that was the step in the right direction, but the effects needed to be more permanent and stronger. Taking a step back Lucian thought about how the strength of the primal spell worked. It was taking the mana inside, transforming it into the magical energy of the genesis force and then turning back into one's self to use the explosive energy inside of yourself to bolster your physical might. But this was different, this was focused on turning that mana into actual tangible physical energy that could be used to push one's physical body past the limits of its physical boundaries. You can always make yourself stronger, but it takes something unique for you to give yourself more power to push beyond what your body says it can handle.

Once again Lucian assumed the position, his stance was wide and his hands were clasped together, focusing on internal making himself stronger, Lucian began once again, activating the mana in his body once again. The power coursed through him, his veins bulging slightly as he felt his body begin to move into overdrive. Then he felt it, the rush of adrenaline from before but this time it was more than a rush it was all over. He felt relief, he powerful. His energy was there again, he could go for as long as he wanted or at least until he finally did just have nothing left to give. Though for now, he felt that he had the power to hold the whole world up forever, much like Atlas himself.

Standing with renewed vigor Lucian thought about what else he should train. What was missing from his arsenal, what was something that he could use to further extend his reach. Lucian looked around with thoughtful pondering until he came upon a sight. A small indention in the ground had been made by some sort of creature, lying in wait the predator laid below the dirt. As a small flying bug flew towards the ground, he could feel the tension. With one motion the flying creature went to take the sky but it was too late.

The small rodent jumped from the ground with paws prepared, taking the creature in its clutches as the claws seemed to spear the flying bug. Taking the morsel back to the den, Lucian watched with inspiration.

Hmm, what about something to strike from the earth. The limitations of the Gaia breaker spell were evident but what if I could trick someone into thinking I had no true way to reach them from the ground or any surface for that matter. I could have my own set of claws to come from the ground, because if even they could fly you wouldn't be quick enough to escape the spikes unless you completely changed your own moves.

Lucian moved to the center of the clearing again, this time he focused on his spell Gaia breaker. With Gaia breaker before it, this spell was used to the mana and energy of the genesis to cause disruption and destruction but this time he would not only push the energy throughout the ground but then mold it to erupt from below like a surprise attack. Or better yet.

Lucian gathered his mana and struck at the ground with his foot, the genesis force erupted into the surrounding area, different fissures flowing with veins of white and crimson energy. There was no control, it was chaotic. That was not the goal here, the small rodent didn't attack with luck or just flailing about. He attacked with poise and direct control, he attacked with precision.

Taking that into account Lucian looked at the ground below him into the very veins of energy and pulled at them. Focusing on forming spikes shape like spearheads flow from the Earth. The energy was non-responsive at first, then slowly it began to surge. Then in a sudden push, the genesis force exploded from the ground, the different spikes pushing through the ground to stab at anything unfortunate enough to be caught in their path. The area was surrounded by the spikes but it was clear this attack had been done with no intent in mind. And had this been a battlefield, his own self could be easily caught in the crossfire or make disadvantageous for his own movement. But what if?

Taking a cue from earlier with the shell. Lucian placed his hands to the ground, reaching out as he had done before, Lucian pushed the energy into straight forward into the ground. The magic seal erupting around him as he willed the spikes out directly in front of him in a cone of ravaging power with violent intent.

Standing to appraise his work, Lucian could feel the effects of the previous endurance spell, fading meaning he was soon gonna pass out and possibly be out for a good long while. Taking the opportunity to focus, Lucian could only think of one more idea.

The twin raising kaisers were nice but what if I could make a true explosion one that was a definitive move. What if I combined them together, to make something much larger. This time, chaos was the way and there was no need for control anymore.

With that in mind, Lucian prepared himself jumping onto a nearby rock formation, Lucian looked down upon the clearing before him, the debris from training his different set of spells had made things rather messy and cluttered. Broken tree trunks and sheets of rock littered the ground in messy heaps. There were fissures spanning wide distances. He had caused quite a mess but this was the chance to clean it up. For the most part anyway. Gathering his mana Lucian once again made the magical seal form, summoning the raising kaisers, his spell formed like normal except this time he grabbed the two separate entities of energy. Ramming them into one another, Lucian was thrown backward at the resulting explosion.

"Not my smartest idea..."

Clearly, that would not work. Once, he assumed his position, this time he thought about what he was trying to accomplish. A bigger explosion, but one he controlled.

Clearly, that would not work. Once, he assumed his position, this time he thought about what he was trying to accomplish. A bigger explosion, but one he controlled. He had to mold it together, similar to the shell move. While also maintaining a firm image of what he was trying to do with his energy like with the scythe move, bringing his energy to the point of limits like with his endurance spell and then, of course, using his hands to push it forward.

Forming the seal once again, Lucian pulled his hands close together, the mana formed a solid ball of white and crimson color energy, pulling his hands apart, the ball began to expand reacting to his call. Containing the magic was hard as it fought to be released from his control. Holding on Lucian began to let it expanded further gradually letting it reach its apex. Then when he felt that he couldn't contain it any longer, Lucian released the giant ball with all of his might and his rage. The large sphere of magic and mana roared descending downward like a falling comet of pure power. With ruthless aggression, it struck the clearing with a resounding boom. With a mighty gust of wind on impact and destructive blunt force trauma, the trees were turned to splinter and kindling. The rock had been turned to dust. Lucian pulled himself to his feet, grudgingly trudging forward to survey the results of his work.

Smiling with crazed victory, Lucian noticed that things didn't look at messy anymore. He had achieved his triumph. Slowly he could feel the last remnants of his endurance spell running their course. His body began to collapse under the strain and fatigue from the days training, letting his body go. Lucian felt the power leave him as he hit the ground, the world going black as unconsciousness swallowed him. The day became night as the faint snores of the young man rang through the clearing. Smiling upon his charge Krotodamus could see that the fire of the warrior and of the beast had returned but this was merely the beginning for young Lucian, though granted this was a beautiful beginning indeed.
