He sieved the blood out of the tissue by destroying the tissue around it, although his inexperience cost him about twenty five percent of the blood sample, as he destroyed it during the process. He was taking quite a long time simply cleaning the samples and getting them ready, but he was extremely diligent. He was working through the long hours of the night, wondering if he could actually figure this out. His notebook was covered in different things he had tried, and each experiment he conducted on the samples destroyed a little bit of them, and so it was a race against his mind. If he couldn't figure out which experiment gave him the most information, then he would eventually be out of a particular sample, and he would most likely fail. On the other hand, even if he found a good method of sampling, he would then need to thoroughly test the sample using that method to get good results. Lots of nail biting and nervous anxiety filled Shichiro , but he calmed down a bit. It made him more comfortable imagining his the faces of his parents watching over him as he did this, cheering him on silently, that gave him confidence, and the ability to calm down and weigh each option with the others. He decided to put the blood in the centrifuge to separate the blood and the plasma, so that he could study them separately. As that was going, he inspected the bit of scalp he was given. The hair was jet black, but that didn't really tell him much. The pores on the scalp were well taken care of, no dandruff or psoriasis to be seen, nor was the scalp even a bit dry, well for being a bit of scalp that is, he had to guess that it was usually not as dry.

This meant that the man was well taken care of, and the product that he found in the man's hair was a fairly expensive hair product, as it had scent of mango in it, something not native to Dahlia's climate. The next clue was the finger, as the knuckle was well worn, meaning that they trained with their hands extensively. However, the fingernail was covered in black pain and very well manicured. This could mean that the donor of the samples was a woman, but that was yet to be determined, and not something that was entirely needed to determine at the moment. Over the course of the next few days, Shichiro worked tirelessly, only eating a bit here and there, simply studying the materials he was given. It took a while, but there was dirt under the fingernails that wasn't from Dahlia. The blood sample showed nothing out of the ordinary, meaning it was a non blood related primary that wasn't commonly found here. The purity of the jet black hair meant that both parents most likely had the same feature. After a bit, he concluded that this man’s primary was indeed, Fire Magic, High End to be exact and told the old man. The old man congratulated him on being able to find that out, but also told him that he was doomed from the start. The blood was fabricated and not from the original body, and Shichiro forgot to check if the blood from the finger was the same as the napkin, and even though the entire thing was fabricated, the old man was astonished at the prowess of a man who just swings his fists and weapons around all day. Shichiro simply passed out from a combination of exhaustion and disbelief that the old man would trick him like that.

A harsh but necessary lesson, he assumed, before falling asleep. After passing out then waking up and learning how to control his mana much better, Shichiro went back to the Dahlia building in the under city, and told the old man he was ready to learn how to control his mana for medical purposes. He was given strict courses on how to control it, and how to make his mana flow, not only through his own body, but through others' as well, and although Shichiro couldn't really see himself as the healing type but he had to learn this in order to be effective in combat, and as the old man stated once again, that he wouldn't teach him any specific techniques or spells, only the basics, Shichiro could still use the mana to give a good massage and loosen up muscles, help cure headaches, and other trivial things that could never actually be used on the battlefield or in a trauma surgeon setting. This was when Shichiro started going through surgeon training, as he was already near a genius doctor at this level. He knew essentially everything about the human body, and he knew how to find and diagnose problems if he had all the evidence, and if not, he was going to learn how to fix those problems on the fly. And thus, there were a set of challenges that he hated doing, that was essentially when they bring in rune knight prisoners and criminals to be forcefully tested on. Holding them down long enough to strap them to the table was a pain. They got wounds, injuries, and other health problems put onto them from the higher ups in the little skirmishes, and then they let Shichiro operate on them to try and fix it except it didn’t matter if he horribly disfigured them or even killed them.

It was quite enjoyable, and it also made him glad that he got this opportunity to experiment sometimes, as they were all fully willing to support him, and even goad him into intentionally making experiments as painful as possible, on their pursuit of medical knowledge. As he went through, there was an increasing difficult level. The first was a person with a split lip, and so Shichiro got an injection to numb the pain, and then covered the man's eyes so that he was more comfortable. Telling the man that if he felt any pain at all, to stop being a coward about it and that he would get more numbing medicine. He thought they should be grateful he’s trying to make this with the least amount of pain as possible cause he wasn’t very fond of torture. He sutured up the man's lip once he was done cleaning it and checking for anything foreign, be it an object or something like rust. It seemed it was fabricated to look like someone cut him open with a knife, which was a common injury. Shichiro was ecstatic when he was working, and he truly enjoyed learning about them and the human body as he did. He seemed like he had a great knack for this sort of thing, and he was loving talking to each of the patient’s, hearing about how they were caught and imprisoned and even joked as if they weren’t held captive, and taking their mind off of their injuries. He would eventually be able to qualify to work in a hospital with these skills, and meet an even more diverse set of people if he was interested but that wasn’t his reason as to why he was learning this, as right now, these were all prisoners of war. Everyday, after Shichiro was done with his exercises and anything else he needed to do, he sprinted to the building where his studies were, and made sure he was ready. Washing his hands, disinfecting them, and then putting on his medical gloves had become a ritual for him, and was ingrained within his muscle memory after about a month.

He was able to sponge up all of this information, allowing him to make huge leaps in his understanding of medical knowledge in general, and once he was done with this, he started to figure out how to transplant organs. There were a few patients that needed kidney and other transplants, and even one that needed a heart transplant, which was Shichiro's most dangerous, taxing, and difficult surgery. That was the only surgery where he wasn't having fun with it, because if he messed up, even a tiny bit, the man would most likely die from it, and it would be his fault. The old man, however, planned this, and the man died during surgery. It was later revealed that he was supposed to be executed but Shichiro didn’t know at the time. Shichiro was absolutely devastated, and couldn't move away from his position in his bed for a few days. He just couldn't face anyone anymore for a little bit. Shichiro wasn’t really a stone cold killer and hasn’t killed anybody who didn’t deserve it in a very long time. A nice lesson was given to him however, and after a few weeks with depression, he was snapped out of it by a grimoire heart ally saying that if he really wanted to make up for killing someone on the operating table, that he needed to suck it up and save more people. He needed to save one hundred people for everyone that he killed while trying to save them. There was no way that he could save someone every single time, and that sometimes, people died, it's a natural way of life, and at least he was trying to save the man instead of killing them. Shichiro showed up the next day, and it seemed the man was fine, and it was set up by the old man to make it look like the man died.

A healing spell to stop the heart and keep the body alive for up to twenty four hours without it was used, and Shichiro, although furious, was taught the lesson that not everyone can be saved. Real doctors and surgeons need to try their hardest to save their patients during surgeries, and that even one mistake can cost a life. But sometimes life isn't in the surgeon's hands, and the patient is simply destined to die, and there's nothing the surgeon can do, but get up and keep going forward on their own path. Become better, and learn how to save the person next time in a similar situation. Once again, It was later revealed that one particular person was supposed to stage his death, be shown around that he was killed, and then in the dead of night return to the city of Era. He guessed not all mages on the light side were that clean. Shichiro was hard at work, studying in the library, and immediately after the academy, he would skate off to the underground building of the Grimoire Heart guild, who gave him the current knowledge that resides inside of his head. It was an amazing thing, and offered unparalleled learning ability. He was constantly studying the basics of everything, and so far he was simply cruising through the studies, as he was more than capable of passing all the tests and becoming well knowledgeable in the human body. He was always studying, however, because he really wanted to meet the deadline to go back to training his physical body and mana control, and so he had decided that he was going to do extra things whenever he had time to ace this in one shot. In the library however, he got to learn the basics of control.

To be perfectly honest, Shichiro was learning the basics of control so that he could go to the medical facility in the Grimore Heart building and learn how he could use the mana for medicinal reasons, as the old man he was training with already stated that he wouldn't teach Shichiro specific techniques. Still, he was enthusiastic, as he had always enjoyed the concepts of learning, and learned that there were a lot of stories based around it including past Dragon Slayers of old. He didn't need to be as strong as either of those people, as long as his abilities could help him survive in combat and keep his learning going. Currently, he was studying, learning the rest of the procedures that he had been learning up until this point, and there was going to be a test on all of them today. This was going to be fairly easy for him, if it wasn't for the fact that his mind was a bit scattered. He started to get a bit nervous, he wanted to get through this and be done with, especially because looking after dead bodies and treating injuries was now becoming more of a chore to him, and he was going to make sure he aced it. He had to calm down though, this was just like the tests and challenges in his Blue Pegasus days, and he would need to take deep breaths. Breathing exercises were something he could use in these situations, as well as in combat situations and training his body. His name was called, and the old man would look at him, and so would everyone else in the corridor, and he began to get a little nervous again. This made him in even more of a fervor, as he wanted to prove to them that his current affiliations had almost nothing to do with his abilities.

He trained by himself, and he relied on himself to find opportunities. The only thing that gave him a leg up was his weapon, but that was a fair trade, as the sword was sapping his energy and blood as a price for his immense strength when lifting earthen objects, so it was mostly Shichiro's determination and perseverance to do something great. He grabbed his notebook and flipped to the pages he had about the basic magic he was supposed to demonstrate in front of the class. Then slowly made his way to the front of the room, waving to the class and then to the teacher. The old man then addressed him directly. Shichiro quickly gathered a bit of mana within his stomach, the mana swirling and wanting to leave the body, but he contained as much as he could, and then directed it out to the sides of his body. Two identical copies of lightning spears appeared next to him. The old man nodded, and Shichiro made the spears poof out of existence while the old scribbled something on the clipboard. This continued on for the next few techniques he demonstrated. After Shichiro  had finished, he had a little sweat on his forehead, not because he was exhausted or anything of the sort, but mostly because he was very nervous while actually doing them in front of others to view without it being an actual fight.. Sometimes nerves were a good thing, however, and he hoped he performed admirably. The old man said nothing about how he did, and simply told him to sit back down. Shichiro then got to watch some of the other students go do their thing, and he saw their attempts, and a lot of their spells didn't quite look right or horribly backfired, and he wondered if his looked that bad from here, and he got a weird sinking feeling.

The worst feeling is not the act of failing itself, but the fact that he could potentially disappoint himself with his current ability and never actually make it to his goal of being strong like the rest of his Sin members. Especially the ones he wanted to beat in the near future eventually. Once he finishes passing these classes and tests and what not, it was right back to that arena gauntlet for him to go and practice his physical prowess. He made sure to ask this old man more and more about anatomy in his free time, and the man was happy to teach him even if it didn’t seem like it most the time, and outside of the guild, the scarred man was kind but still frightening to most people, and still a very good teacher. He showed Shichiro the essence of good mana control, how to apply to certain things, and even had him come to the administration building and check what his best type of magic proficiency. It turned out that Shichiro's best nature was Earth, as the scroll sat in his hand, a clear testament that he was like the man who trained him as a child. He believed that he was related to this man all this time, and never really bothered to learn the truth about his old parents, because he already had a family, well what he thought at the time all those years ago anyways. He had always thought in the back of his mind to ask the man about the Bandit leader’s magic, Quake. A powerful combination of elements, he learned of the nature of the elements, and how those that are born with it can mix the elements into special combinations that use the best of both elements for devastating results.

He learned that, just like a mage’s birth magic, one could learn of another person's magical affinity through their blood, as their blood had their nature within it, but he didn't really know how the medical mages did so without the use of archive. He then went on to learn about the more common instances of advanced magics like Magma and Requip, and the more rare cases like Time, Space and Gravity. It was interesting to learn all of these things about magic, and this made him invigorated to learn about how he could use his magic to the fullest, and wondered if he could manipulate multiple elements. This was when he learned that he could potentially give himself advanced elements if he was able to get a sample from those who have the special magic. He could be like famous mages in a way, and Shichiro sneered at that thought. However, to even dream of eventually learning that elemental stuff, he needed to learn the basics of course, and practiced his with his spells everyday until he was out of mana. This was of course after he exhausted himself physically and mentally everyday. He figured that he needed a good balance between mind, body, and spirit, so that he could be a well rounded and strong individual later. Shichiro decided to keep trudging forward, as he was never going to get where he wanted to be by just sitting around and thinking of the future. He was finally finished with his training with the individuals from grimoire heart, for now, as they had told him to go learn a bunch of techniques and save people before coming back to them, so he was free to focus on whatever he wanted for now. He couldn't really learn anything else from the old man, so he looked for different ways to learn the finer arts of magic.

He eventually went around to some of the other mages, and decided to train with them. They trained plenty of ways, from simply sitting in a circle gathering their mana, to actually having little mock fights with their comrades and playing tag with D-ranked spells. That was the funniest part. While playing with the other mages in the misty fields, it was fun slipping and sliding around, getting dirty in the mud and everything. almost like a small child. They decided to make the tag a little better, as if was going to be completely spell based. They set up about twenty targets all over the field they were playing with, and the rules were that they could use D-Ranked spells to nail the targets on the other mages. Only the person that was it could use speed buffing spells, so that they could actually catch people. Shichiro made these rules, because they were playing earlier, and they would just swap away a bunch and it wasn't fun for the person that was it. The other mages agreed, and then the game had begun. Shichiro was dodging, and although he was fairly fit, he wasn't used to actually dodging people, and he ended up being it a lot. He simply laughed it off, as he wasn't really playing a lot when he was younger, as he was constantly working and plundering with the ruffians as a child, but a bit of fun along with training and at the time, attacking people, so that he wouldn't get too stressed out and he would remain motivated, especially with the strange event that happened at the last raid or whatever they wanted to call it. There was most likely going to be some sort of wars over the next few years over power, as he learned history was destined to repeat itself eventually, and that humans craved things they didn't have.

Shichiro was no different, and for him, he craved for knowledge that he didn't have, and he wanted all of it, eventually. He was very subtle about most things but, he was still immature about some things, such as cute things and generally living. Because of the way he thinks, he seems to open parts of his brain normal people don't really use at this stage of life, he thought about his place in life and about the future, something normal mages don't bother with. After the games, the other mages were lying on the floor, huffing and puffing, completely exhausted from all of the training and games, and it ended with Shichiro barely catching other mages, simply because he didn't have the worst stamina in the world. But, he made it a point that there were no losers in a game of tag, just silly fun that had no real end game, and the mages just laughed. Shichiro used what little bit of money he had to buy some snacks and share them with the other mages as it started to rain. He was going to get sick, he knew that for sure, but he simply didn't care, and instead jumped into the puddles that formed with the other mages, and got nice and muddy. He needed to get sick every once in a while too, just so that he could bolster his immune system safely, although the few days to a week that he would be sneezing, coughing, and the like was going to be filled with a bit of suffering. He of course got sick, and so did a lot of the other Grimoire Mages, and so he was bedridden for a few days as he recovered. During this time, he simply practiced his mana control for his training, casting a few minor spells here and there, but whenever he used a technique, he got lightheaded and fell back onto his pillow, so he didn't get that much training done in the three days he was sick.

It was still fun hanging out in the hall in general with an attendant, eating soup and drinking hot chocolate, and overall he wouldn't have traded that time for anything. Once he was better, however, he was immediately outside again, visiting the quarters of the other mages that were sick, seeing if they had gotten better and bringing them medicine from the old man’s storehouse, that was essentially open for him. Apparently, Shichiro was going to eventually act as the figurehead of the old man’s business, so he was welcome to use all of their supplies and the like, which was awesome. He was the only successful experiment so far, and it seemed like there wasn't going to be another testing period for a long while. He would most likely need to head to the library again, and make sure to get some texts and tomes related to physical training and maybe some on how to use mana to strengthen your body as well during combat, or just physical fitness in general. He didn't really want to build a massive amount of muscle mass but simply keep his physique close to cut as possible without looking like a walking muscle. He wanted to make sure that he had muscles that could not only last long enough for endurance battles, but that he could also hit hard enough to where he can still do damage to people. This was going to be a challenge, but he was pretty confident in himself to do so. Shichiro made his way to the library as quick as possible to look up books on training exercises and forms and other methods of improving one's body. As he started stacking up books and scrolls, some people in the library started to take notice of him looking through books on how to increase your body mass and other stuff. He was reading about different fighting styles, and one that really piqued Shichiro's interest, was one that involved pressure points, joint locks, and nerve clusters. This seemed like the best thing to learn for him, as he had intricate knowledge of the human body, so he was probably going to be able to fight people by using that method, so he checked that book out and a few others regarding basic physical fitness. Shichiro began to restart training at the guild’s hall, starting with simple sit ups and pushups, and then designed his own training regimen for the next few weeks. It started with running in the morning, and then a set amount of sit ups and push ups each day, that increased a little by little each week.

Shichiro was rapidly increasing the number of sit-ups and pushups as he continued his training. He found someone else that was running in the early morning mist with him, and decided to run with them every day. They were quite a bit older, and it turned out they were S-ranked in the guild, and he offered a lot of motivation for Shichiro as he was huffing and puffing through the course he had set up for himself. It was fun having someone to run with everyday, and the runner's high that he felt was also strange, as it seemed that physically exhausting himself through cardio released endorphins and made him happy about running, which was amazing. The other mage wasn't a specialist, and to be honest he was a bit overweight, but it seems like he was still perfectly physically capable in terms of being a physical mage. The man was trying to get thinner so that he could ask some woman he liked out on a date, and even though he was talking about this to him, he assumed that Shichiro would relate to him  since he was doing the same thing and actually had progress but, Shichiro was only doing this because he enjoyed it and still didn’t quite understand the nature of the opposite gender. All he knew was the female anatomy, which he probably shouldn't brag that he knows that much about it even for a medical user, but still, he knew how to “handle” women in “theory”. He’s never actually tried being intimate with the opposite gender yet. He didn't mention any of these things to the kid, it was just somewhere Shichiro's mind went as he went through the progression of events in his head, or at least one of the possible outcomes. He asked the man if he knew how to fight, and the man said that he only knew how to fight with weapons and detection.

They were probably wondering if he could pass down knowledge like this to their children safely, and Shichiro wondered about that, considering some of the higher ups would most likely be dead before that happened, and then he got to wondering why he was thinking about this in the first place. He chalked it up to simply childlike curiosity combined with advanced thinking given to him from the years he spent in books. Shichiro made sure the other mages were taken care of, and then went right back to reading about and practicing his spells. He wanted to make sure he was very good at the basic principles of spell making before he started learning a bunch of techniques of his Lightning magic, as he eventually wanted to be able to learn from somebody or adept in it. Shichiro continues in his journey through, and decides to talk to some of the A-ranked mages of Dahlia, as they were the next rank up from the mages he was palling around with for the time being. He had learned a lot about how to mold your mana to get various effects, but there was only so much you could learn from the basic spells, so he went to talk to the ones who were great tutors in their fields. The spell making specialist was a fantastic help, and started teaching Shichiro about shape and magic transformation. The ability to turn a normal spell sharp, or change it's shape on a whim to create an entirely different spell was something else. Magic transformation was something else entirely, and is what most of the other Sin’s must use to change things from requip into powerful sub spells of their original piece of equipment. Adding a large amount of mana to the weapon, giving it cutting and stabbing properties, and the specialist showed him the technique that would improve one of his favorite spells, by coating his fists or current weapon at the time with his mana giving it lightning properties to pierce defenses and other objects with ease.

Each element had different properties, and when Shichiro asked about his element of lightning, the person responded with telling him how versatile lightning nature was. Lightning natured magic was powerful because it can change the properties of atmosphere. This allowed the use of spells such as lightning bolt or changing lightning into plasma, changing the properties of one's body to be magnetically charged. This would not only increase the durability, but also the hardness so that the user could also enhance their attacks. Shichiro stayed with the A-ranked Mage over the course of a few weeks, learning about the different natures and shape transformation that was usually taught to B-ranked mages. He wondered what it was that made this training feel so natural to him, but whatever it was, he felt very grateful towards the A-ranked mage. When he finally asked the mage why he was able to learn from him, it was because usually the higher ranking mages are assigned to the lower ranking ones to teach, and usually those mages don't want to learn from them and are conceited, so it was a nice change of pace for the man to learn that an ally was interested in higher learning already, even before his first mission. Shichiro shrugged and told the mage he wasn’t doing a bad job and he doesn’t understand why people don’t share their knowledge often and learn something for a change. A while ago, when trying to learn all he could about medicine and human anatomy, Shichiro made sure to set aside a bit of time every week just to keep up with his exercises and physical health. He made sure to eat right and at least do some stretches and other things of that nature, so that his body was always a bit fit.

He was finally done with training medical expertise and regular spells, so his control was off the charts, and this made for an interesting decision by him. Shichiro decided that he wanted to try and strive for perfection in everything, even though he knows that perfect itself doesn't exist, it's still something amazing to strive for as a person, so that you're constantly challenging yourself and pushing your limits. He had decided that the three areas of a mage that he wanted to focus on are mind, body, and spirit. This meant that he picked medical knowledge for the mind portion and he also picked spell training for the spirit portion, so now that he had practiced in those, probably far too hard while neglecting other aspects, he was ready to start training in the art of physical combat, something that he knew all too well. It was the simplest in concept to get down, but don’t get him wrong, it was also difficult for him in practice. He loved the fact that the other ones had plenty of books but this was his most favorite thing to train. He could sense the man of other people from a long ways away, without needing to actually see them, he just felt them with his own mana and enhanced sense of smell. This fascinated Shichiro's, but he was there for some man-mode training of his body, and so in addition to running and physical training, he met with some other mages to spar. Sparring with them would be the best way to train, and even some of the mages of the village agreed to spar with him to show him how to defend himself. He was fighting people, and they were of course losing, but they weren't going serious at him at all.

He didn't really understand why his body was weird, as he could visualize everything he wanted his body to do to counter attack in his mind, but he couldn't send the right signals it seemed. Everyone told him that you just sort of learn while you're fighting, and it seemed that fighting and training in general tapped into instincts and muscle memory more than tactics and reasoning, although those two things were still great abilities to have when fighting someone. The ability to judge distances, your surroundings, and other things all factored into fighting in close combat and using martial arts to defeat others that perhaps don't use it. So, with some new knowledge, Shichiro went back outside with the motivation and a new understanding about how his body wanted to move and wanted to fight, and he simply tried to stop his thinking for a bit, and never close his eyes when someone tried to strike his face. He got the not flinching and blinking part down when someone threw a punch at him, but he still couldn't really battle. A couple more weeks of meeting with various people allowed him to develop a much better understanding of physical combat and the movements and instincts that go along with it, and he was very grateful to the people. The only thing to do next was to get more experience as a mage, and perhaps learn some more about being a caster. He was tired and completely spent physically, and decided to just head back and crash on his couch to fall asleep. The next morning was Sunday, so it was basically a lazy day for Shichiro, and his muscles were sore, so he simply couldn't really do anything. Rest days were very important, and it just so happened that this one was needed a lot.

He was going to continue to train his body to keep it as strong as possible, but now that he was a bit more toned, he could be happy knowing that he could actually defend himself. He attempted to do a single push up, and simply couldn't lift himself off of the ground, so he twisted around and sat up. He decided to just make himself a little breakfast. He was craving eggs for some reason, but he wanted to try them. After crawling out of bed to make himself something to eat, Shichiro decided it would be best to use the remainder of the day just lounging around and resting his tense muscles. Today, he decided to do some mental training based on his past memories. He climbed into his guest bed as usual and laid there with his eyes wide open and began to remember his long trip in Galuna island. It was strange, it only felt like yesterday Shichiro was actually there leaving his guild hall and mates behind to further his own self study habits all those years ago. Sometimes he still wondered if he made the right choice by leaving Phantom Lord but it seems like there was no point in dwelling on the past now. He chuckled a bit at the thought before frowning and laid there still staring up at the ceiling before tossing and turning and yawning uncomfortably. It was driving him a little crazy that he couldn't seem to lay still even when he was supposed to be resting his weary and sore muscles. After some time though, he was eventually able to close his eyes long enough to think about his past. It had been a long time since he bid his guild mates farewell. Shichiro had decided to remain behind on Galuna island entering his state of asceticism and vow to do nothing but intense studying of life itself and how to better his powers from the new knowledge he might have obtained.

At first, Shichiro had roamed around from civilization to civilization in order to learn from them, study their habits and even read some of their literature. For the first month of his study habit, he was all but content. Sure, he had learned a few lore and some of their ancient history or what not but that wasn't enough to satisfy his need for knowledge. He wanted something that would enhance his abilities at that very moment or something over the course of his travels that he can value a bit later when he returns back to his guild. Shichiro had only been at this for a month but he was already frustrated. He was going nowhere fast, even in a literal sense. He continued on with his quest for power but instead of just reading history he would try and go on leads for ancient artifacts or leads on tombs and pillars that might have remnants of things that can realize his goals. After returning to the main village of the entire island to see if there was any new content he could learn, He was beckoned to a peddler with a peculiar map. At first, It didn't catch Shichiro's interest. He didn't really care about materialistic things unless it was a weapon of some kind. He had simply looked at the man and continued on his way before the man had jogged up next to you and flashed the map in his face. The old peddler had said "I see you were eyeing me map eh? It could lead you to vast wealth or immense fame and ultimate power. Or even the ability to learn everything there is to know about this plane of existence." Shichiro had scoffed at the man's attempt to pique his interest. He was nearly hooked by that last part of his little enticement about knowledge.

Regardless if this was a scam or not, He decided he would take the map off the old man's hands for a few jewels and be on his way. Shichiro had looked at the map from all different directions. He couldn't make heads or tails of this shitty map. He had squinted his eyes, raised it up to the sun and flipped it around a couple times. He sighed before angrily crumpling the paper with one hand and attempted to toss it. Clearly it didn't go very far as it just softly floated down on the sands of Galuna. When i find that old man, I swear...." Shichiro had muttered furiously, raising hand slowly, emitting static electricity. As he began to walk away, A bearded man wearing a red coat with gold linings and a glowing red eye slowly walked up to the map and picked it up slowly. Shichiro had turned his head slightly to look at the man holding the map. He decided to turn around completely and give a detailed look at the man who was holding his map. He hadn't really thrown it away, just frustrated at the fact there was nothing obvious about where the lead may lie. He still clearly had full intention on keeping it and didn't like the fact it was being touched by somebody else. He placed his hands into his pockets before tilting his head, frowning at the man that appears to be reading the map? After a long moment of silence between the two the bearded man looked up at the boy and gave a toothy grin before he had started to say something. "Oi. You have no idea what ye stumbled on too do yer? the bearded man had said in a very painstaking accent. Shichiro shrugged a bit and retorted with "I don't know an old useless piece of paper with childish scribbles?" The man had begun to bellow an anomalous kind of laughter he had never heard before.

It almost made him uncomfortable in a way. "Listen, you've held that thing as long as i can stand. If it's as valuable as you say, help me read it or give it back to me so i can find somebody that will." Shichiro said it was a bit irritable. The man squinted his crimson eye a bit, smirking before relaxing up a bit, noticing Shichiro had begun tensing up himself as if they were about to do battle. "Relax mate. I didn't come here lookin for no trouble. Here ya go... But if ya like. I could help you with your treasure hunting problems if you are interested. the man had said as he handed back his map. Shichiro had looked down at the map then towards the bearded man then back down at his map again then towards the bearded man once more. He had let out a reluctant sigh before handing the man back the treasure map. The man took it back grinning a bit as he took another glance at it. Abruptly, He turned around and began to walk towards the town entrance and began to exit. He then turned to beckon Shichiro over to follow him. At first Shichiro was skeptical about it, remaining in place with his hand in his pockets. The man just shrugged and continued to proceed normally. Shichiro had then realized the man still had his map before he dashed off to reach him. He figured he could take anybody who dared stepped up to how many ways. "Aye, But this map is just a bunch of clues we need to search each one if we want to figure this puzzle out. the man said. Shichiro had widened his eyes at that news and placed his head into his hand.

Shichiro had watched him closely wondering if this person could even use mana to make that thing come to life. Or so he expected, the enemy captain seemed to have placed it onto his chest and suddenly the wooden totem had been absorbed into his chest? The event that had occurred was soon followed by loud screams and one of the enemy sailors screaming “HIT THE DECK!!!!” as they all rushed below deck as if they knew what was going to happen next. Shichiro had turned to watch them flee as a frown surfaced upon his face. He then turned back towards the captain just in time to see him gripping his shirt and chest and falling, more like throwing himself overboard. Shichiro had then relaxed his tension and wondered what happened next but he did not lower his guard because the man’s own crewmates ran in fear. After a few moments, the head of a giant sea serpent had appeared from the water where the captain had fallen over. It started to make a sound that closely resembled human laughter before it started to talk to Shichiro and the crew through telepathy. “Gha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Witness my ultimate form, in this state I have increased agility, strength AND power. WATCH as i make a demonstration out of your puny ship. He then proceeded to open his large serpent-like jaw and fire a stream of water powerful enough to cut metal at the ship Shichiro was travelling around on. Thankfully, the ship was made out of tougher material than that and barely withstood the attack but it means he’s going to have to work for three days straight in order to repair the damage that’s done. Shichiro looked up at the head, blinking rather apathetically.
