"Really? All of this for a woman?" Vali asked with a cold and expressionless mask. The woman he had been protecting wore a baseball hat that sat atop her short rugged braids. Her skin was brown and godly, but her clothes clearly portrayed her position in the social hierarchy. She was clearly poor and doing anything she could to manage. Yet she found herself faced with hungry, creatures of darkness. They seemed like Vampires, but they could have been demons in disguise. The Viking Lord counted a total of seventeen hungry beings. They halted when they approached Vali though, for he stood tall and mighty with not an ounce of fear in his heart. His problem was that he didn't have any spells so if he was going to take out these guys it'd have to be with his physical abilities.

The woman held on to Vali's arm. She shook and sweat, hoping that she'd make it see another day. The creatures in front of them snarled, slowly inching forward. Although one part of Crocus was a safe zone for the sake of nobility, the other parts of Crocus were still a danger zone. "Do not worry." He said warmly to the woman. His hood remained on his head, protected from those who might recognize his face at any given moment. Underneath his dark cloak, he wore his armor, ready to tank any damage to protect this Savannan goddess. You see, the Mad Titan had a heart- it just didn't beat for the King or the Council, but for everyone else, it did.

So here he was, being the hero his people knew him to be for a woman who probably knew nothing about him.

"Okay, M'lady, I'm gonna need you to bolt when I say so al-" "Ahh!" Both the woman and Vali were startled by a semi-loud banging noise coming from behind the monsters. Vali's nose had detected a new scent but he didn't think much of it until the creatures of darkness averted their attention towards the direction of the scent. Vali's eye raised in curiosity and before he knew it some man with a raging fist of what appeared to be magma had been coming to the rescue. However, Vali's eyes caught the action and just like that his Lava was added to Vali's arsenal of spells. The man's fist slammed into the human-devouring fiends, causing all of them to squeal and screech in agony and pain.

The magma was also so destructive that it splashed around the man too, landing on the property and whoever was close enough. Quickly Vali turned back to the woman after watching the scene unfold. "Flee." he simply told her. With a nod, she bolted away. Now that the Viking Lord could see the "hero", he noticed a large healed burn on his face. Other than that though, he was actually quite...attractive. Judging from his Pendant, he was definitely a rune knight and even though that annoyed him he clenched his jaws to look past it. "You got this? Or do ya need help?" He asked almost rhetorically.

Perhaps this man could hold his own.

Perhaps not.

"Yeah, I am fine." Vali simply responded. He was intrigued by the scene that had been taking place. The man was a Lava mage so he had magic stronger than most. Although the Viking Lord could tell that from the level of the spells he used that he wasn't necessarily the strongest mage, he still was managing to hold his own. Without another word and still standing in place, the Knight told Val not to touch him as lava began to coat his body. The Titan's eyebrow raised, he was tempted to touch the man anyway but decided that it was probably best if he didn't. He didn't want to be the reason why this man was unfocused. One of the creatures of darkness still managed to hit him, of course, the result was worse for it. Quickly it fell, screeching before turning to dust.

The courageous Knight took his stance in front of the King of Vikings, thinking that he had the strength necessary to protect the young Jarl. Soon he asked for Vali's help and with a sigh the werewolf placed his hand onto his Lava armor, lightly pushing him to the side. The Lava would sizzle under Vali's hand but would do no damage to him. Thanks to his monstrous genes, his body was naturally strong against magic. "Fine, only because you risked your life to protect me." If his new acquaintance had moved to the side, Vali would immediately bolt forward towards the group of twelve hungry creatures. With his dagger, he had managed to slice three across the neck as he dashed forward, then proceeded to grab the head of one with his left hand before squeezing and bursting it's head.

Then there were eight. All of which attacked Vali at the same time. The Viking simply began to fight them all. Dodging one just to stab another in the face, then blocking a hit to the throat just to stab another in the throat. Six more... he thought as he turned to the two facing his back, swinging his arm at the same moment to slice them both across the chest. Then he caught another mid-air as it leaped towards his back, slamming it down onto the ground before digging his claws in its neck, ripping out its throat. Truthfully, from the outside view, it'd look like the Titan was a raging monster. The last three creatures stopped what they were doing and slowly began to back up not aware that they were moving straight towards the Rune Knight.

"You want to finish them off?" He asked with a devilish smirk. Blood covered his hands, as droplets decorated his face. Whether the man wanted to or not did matter. Vali no longer had anything to play with and the longer he looked this man in the face, the longer he was tempted to simply rip out his intestines. So, clenching his jaws Vali turned away. "Well, you better."
