Amenra
Mission!
Spoiler:

Amen'ra wasn't a fan of hurting children, in fact he actually opposed the idea entirely. What good could ever come from harming a child, the foundations of a hopefully better tomorrow? It left an ill taste in his mouth like chewing on an old lemon and he continually dreaded the idea as he moved through the town of Era. His body clad in his usual black armor and his blade holstered on his back, ready for action that he uncharacteristically wouldn't enjoy.

So location in hand he would look down to the paper and look back up to where he stood. A building that appeared abandoned and sickly in his vision, causing him to raise a brow... had she caused all of this by herself? The structure was on the outskirts of the town but it didn't even look like it belonged to the place that held such beautiful sights. The grass around the building was dying and withered, as if someone had poisoned the soil, the trees like lifeless bones drained of their life.

The solar mage would merely clear his throat lightly and prepare himself to enter into the domain, slowly walking toward the door on the stone path. His amber eyes looking to the door knob and slowly opening it to see that the entire place looked akin to a natural disaster zone, like a tornado had ran through it. There was tattered clothing, broken items, furniture flipped and thrown about. Even seeing it now it was hard to believe any one child could cause so much damage but he knew good and well what had happened here. He couldn't deny fact.

Despite the orphanage once housing so much life it was eerily quiet and it prompted him to look around uneasily before moving up the stairwell. Slowly, and as quietly as he could given the sounds of his armors metals clanking lightly against each other. It was here that he looked down a hallway to see an open door among all the others, the silence growing stronger as he stared into the room.

If only for a moment he felt a chill go down his spine but he brushed off those feelings to maintain a brave face, for a child sat in the room before him. Amen'ra wasn't close to approaching at all but even he could feel the odd sensation of unease and evil that irradiated from the girl and it brought a weight to his heart. His mission was to bring the girl in but that was just as easily a death sentence for the young woman, unless they could purge her of her evil; or her uncontrolled magic.

Who was to say what was going on anymore, all he knew was that he had a job to do. So no matter the outcome someone had to do it given the situation was beyond his own control. Now, with extra caution as the girls eyes were unwavering from his form, he would begin to approach. Eyes filled with the same somber look from before.

Amenra

Approaching the empty room save for a wooden chair she sat on, Amen'ra could see that her eyes were full of malicious intent. The whites surrounding normal irides was replaced with inky blackness and a grimace on her youthful features. For others it might have made them stop in their pursuit and question what they were getting themselves into but Amen'ra wasn't like most others. Even inside this building, with the darkness and evil surrounding them, he shone bright as the sun and he wouldn't let anything dim his light. The shadows gripping her soul were but child's play to the older mage and if push came to shove he would show her the power of the light.

Reaching the doorway Amen'ra went to speak but found himself suddenly surrounded by moving tendrils of onyx, gasping as he leapt backward to avoid being skewered. The black tentacles stabbing into the wooden floor they stood upon and the girls eyes glaring at him as if she were asserting dominance. So it was some sort of shadow magic that was possessing her? Didn't she know that light would always beat the darkness?

When the shadows began to converge once more into a dangerously large singular spike, Amen'ra quickly got to work. Extending his arms firmly in front of himself and weaving three hand signs with appendages lit ablaze by glowing golden fire, orange embers dancing around his hands while two magic seals formed. One with a golden color to symbolize the dominate light while the second a red tint to symbolize the purging fires, firing forth a 0.25-meter diameter beam of solar energy to burst through the darkness that pursued him.

The result of the attack was the girls magic being blasted apart and disposed of while created smoke to mask his movements, the intense heat working in his favor in such a tight space. Amen'ra could see the girl was looking for him now as he rushed through the smoke and directly in front of her, unsheathing his blade and swinging it down onto the orphan. Not with the sharp side, of course, but rather with the butt end of the weapon to slam into her shoulder; directly on a pressure point. Effectively knocking her unconscious.

This wouldn't cause any harm to her thankfully, so catching her falling body he would hoist her over his shoulder and commend himself for a job well done. Even though he would of preferred to talk her out of her rampage sometimes the lesson needed to be learned the hard way. With the young girl now on his shoulder he would carry her back to the bar where he'd been given the task, much to the delight of Gaud. The man would report to the knights what had occurred and ordering her collection while handing off the reward he owed to Amen'ra.

Nodding and explaining he was only doing what was right, he would take the jewel he''d earned and promptly leave the establishment. Off to find his next line of work.
