PERSONALITY

Personality: Mei is a humble and bubbly teenager who brings joy to almost everyone she meets. She is always trying to help everyone she can, in any way that she is capable. As a young mage living with very flexible parents who don't mind her carrying out her 'mage duties', Mei gets to experience life more than any of the teenagers she knows at her age. She is an only child and gets what she wants as long as she behaved, though that does not mean that she is spoiled. Even though her parents are pure Sinese, Mei was born here in Fiore, so she is more used to the Fiorian ways than the Sinese ways.

After moving out of her parents’ home and starting a whole new journey on her own, Mei has learnt to depend on herself, began to understand the struggles of life and realised some things about herself that she would never have if she was still living under her parents’ roof. She loved challenges, and going the extra mile. Her motivation in life is to be able to pay back to her parents, everything they had done for her to be in the place she is now.

Games: During her leisure time, Mei usually plays video games that she buys with money she has earned.
Stuffed Toys: Her bedroom is filled with all sorts of stuffed toys that are usually pink in color.
Challenges: Every challenge she faces feels like small steps towards a better Mei.

Evil: There's a lot of evil in this world, and Mei wants to reduce as much of it as she is able to.

Pride: Mei aspires to be someone who is looked up to by future generations of her family and someone who makes her parents and everyone else in her family proud. She also wants to keep her parents happy and pay back as much as she can for all the things they have done for her.

Losing Her Parents: Mei loves her parents and she couldn't even dream of the day they're gone, especially not before she is able to pay them back to show them how much she appreciates what they have done for her.

HISTORY

Suyin Mei was born to a middle class family living in Magnolia Town. She ended up being an only child as her mother became incapable of giving birth to more children after her. All her parents' love and hope were concentrated in her. She was the future of their name and everything that they worked for was for her. She was a lucky child, to receive all the love of her parents and even her relatives because she was adorable since she was a baby. Mei grew up in a very positive environment and she got everything she wanted as long as she behaved.

During her early years, her gift stayed hidden as it slowly developed within her body. Nobody was aware of the fact that Mei was born with such a blessing, until she was eleven, when strange shiny dust particles came out of her skin. She thought something bad was happening in the beginning, of course. How could she have known that it was her magic causing this strange happening? Only when a wizard working as a teacher in her school noticed this and sensed her magical reserves, she found out, the teacher bringing the good news to her family. They were overjoyed of course, discovering the news about the first ever mage in their entire family tree. They even threw a sort of party for it, celebrating this special occasion with the rest of their relatives.

At thirteen years old, Mei was out and about helping people with her magic in any way that she can. She took quests from the request board and earned money for her family at such a young age. Since she was a mage, there was no real need for her to keep going to school. What she needed to do was learn more about her magic and train herself so that she could become stronger and do more than just take quests. When she became strong enough, she could help with keeping the country safe from evil. And that was one of the things she aspired to accomplish.

During the two years before now, Mei left the Lamia Scale to join Blue Pegasus, because she felt that he would have more growth there. A new magic began to manifest as well, turning her hair into a pretty, light shade of blue as a side effect. She had also moved out of her parents' home and has rented an apartment near her guild in Hargeon Town where she lives alone.
